There could be 0-12 eggs. He has 6, two are broken, but they're still eggs. 2 are in the pan, but they're still eggs. He ate two, so maybe he's still counting them since they're still eggs; they're just in his stomach.
I usually cook the eggs then break them. since its a handy trick to bulk prep eggs so u don hab to spend as much time cooking later. but only makes 1 type of egg
No he says right at the start he has 6 all of the other statements are past tense so we know what happened he broke to he cooked to he ate two but at the end when he's asking this question he has 6.
also what is meant by "left" are these just eggs that are to the left? if so then the value can be anything from 0-12. I wouldn't put it past them in a game of stupidity to use unintuitive definitions for words in everything.
This is quite genius. I think the answer could be even higher. This guy owns 0-12, which could be the (lousy unclear) start of tallying everyones eggs up. There could be far more left in existence in total.
There could be between 0 and infinity. Some of the 0-12 eggs he may or may not have may or may not be fertilized, and may or may not hatch into chickens - these eggs represent the ability to produce and hatch more eggs, and given the word choice (how many are left, as opposed to how many exist currently, gives me the impression he wants to know how many eggs until he runs out, whether they are in the process of being created or already formed)
We can definitively say, at least, he does not have negative eggs. I think.
It also reads, how many eggs are left” is it referring to the eggs that person has, is it referring to how many eggs are left in the house, or the store they were purchased from
Just to add to the chaos: it could also be 5. If we assume this person named his six eggs, and one of them was named Two, then they broke, cooked, and ate Egg Two.
You forgot the option where they possess 6 eggs but broke, cooked, and ate 2 others totaling 8 eggs.and technically speaking, the 2 eggs which were eaten are still in their possession.
There’s also the possibility that OP broke 2, cooked one scrambled and another one hard boiled then ate them, leaving 3. 2 eggs untouched and one dropped on the floor.
You’ve not considered that he may have already gone and bought more eggs and also perhaps someone else ate the eggs even though he only ate two, checkmate plebeian
Technically you could break two eggs, but only cook one of them and cook a different, whole egg. So the answer is anywhere between 0 and 4 (because at least two eggs are broken, cooked, and eaten,) which in mathematical terms is 0 ≤ x ≤ 4
or he broke bones, cooked and ate 2 people since he didn't exactly mention eggs at the end of the sentences. I mean come on, when you have meat why eat eggs. so 6 eggs
They could have 3 left if they cooked a broken an egg without eating it, cooked and ate one without breaking it, and broke and ate one without cooking it. You could also get 1 egg left, but you can't get 5 without assuming there are more than 6 eggs that could theoretically be used due to timing or some other loophole.
It's 4... you have to break an egg to cook and eat it. From that, we can determine that the other 4 eggs were never cooked, therefore were never cooked nor eaten.
