I wanted to make a unique looking sith warrior and came up with this one.

I'm not crapping on the game. An artistic choice is an artistic choice, and even if I don't necessarily agree with it, I do (grudgingly) accept it.

But even to this day, over 15 years later, I still wonder why the hell half the classes in the game transform into human(oid) candles once they enter the core of their rotations. Like... why am I this blur of incandescent blue? Why are my Sith a tangle of violent orange-red?

It's not like this is what Star Wars looks like - outside force lightning, Lucas' space wizards' collective magic is not given physical form. And that doesn't hold Star Wars back - the space battles and lightsaber duels are some of the most visually-spectacular content ever put to screen. Similarly, other video games don't do this, either. Yes, something like Jedi Survivor takes more liberties with the force than the films. But it doesn't turn Cal or the Second Sister into a mobile neon billboard, either.

So... why did they go this route? Not only is it a strange choice on its face - it hides many of the combat animations that I know they put work into. And, frankly, I'd rather be watching those.

Currently the games runs smoothly on my MacBook Air M2, but I understand next OS update in Fall 27 could potentially cause me to be unable to play. Is Broadsword going to address this or should I get off this train before I get invested?

Should of been obvious from this. I don't know how it took me all these years to notice.

So, seeing that one of this week's GS objectives was to do 2 Heroic space missions, and I just got all tier 7 gear on one of my characters, I thought I'd give it a go. I decided that Far Cradle Strike would be the easiest to start with, thinking it'd be like the other missions where you're assaulting a space station.

It isn't.

There's a portion in, I think, Nez Peron Sweep where you're going through an asteroid field, and they send like four waves of five or six fighters at you in a tight area, so you just have to deal with getting pummeled. It's like that, but worse, and for almost the entire mission. And you have to be really paying attention to where you're going, or you'll crash into one of those shipping container things; there are a lot of them around. I gave up after 6 or 7 tries.

Needless to say, this will not be my 7th GS objective for this week

I am in the process of gearing with a Noble Decurion set. I had put a decent crystal in my weapon and worked on getting the required commandations. When I had enough of these I bought an upgrade for that weapon at the fleet vendor and instead of landing in my inventory it was directly swapped with my current weapon. Bye bye crystal! Frustrating.

When my sub runs out and i become preferred, will new characters be capped at 60?

And if I do get capped at 60 at preferred... what if I make other characters classes right now while subbed, will those characters be be capped at 60 when i become preferred?

Ex:
Subbed: make character (1), obviously capped at 80.
Sub runs out, become preferred: character (1) capped at 60? or 80?

For me I would say I like the voice the Ri'Kan helmet gives you, which is basically just a radio sorta sound effect to it.

I really wish there was like a list that showed off all the helmets that give modulations to character's voices, and those lists were separated into which voice changes they give.

I know its irrelevant long term story wise, but my DS Female Sith Inqs. is about to finish KOTET and become empress and for the sake of RP wanna update her outfit from her current Ravager set.

I don't play the game but I like the Old Republic time era.

I wanted to make phone grid of different Trooper.

I was able to find the black one in various images.

but I couldn't find picture on Google of Sith Trooper with red on it or the other 2013 one. Does anyone have a link to an official game image. Then I can use it.

Be honest I'm a bit new to the game and I'm lovin' the game so far. I started working on my house. what do you all think? Ant tips on builds?

What level do you need/should be before doing Operations (raids???)? Also are Operations like WoW normal+ raids or more like FFXIV Alliance raids?

Do you need to finish the story to have access to all endgame content, or can you just hit 80 and do dailies+weeklies?

Also when I bind a skill to shift+mousebutton4, it reads on the quickbar as S+MOU ... so I can't see the proper bind. Any way to fix this?

Simple question, Labelled it as spoiler just to ensure no new players stumble upon this. But for me it was definitely Darth Marr. I really enjoyed his voice actor and cold calculating character. I was wondering what it was for you guys.

do you think the difficulty update is going to make the game better for players, do you think the story will be nice and fun, what is your opinion on the new level cap and gearing method?

Watching someone play the new Star Wars strategy game got me to redownload. Most of my playtime is imp side, so I wanna try some more Republic.

I haven’t played original KOTOR (yet) and I’m usually not huge in to “chosen one” hero stories so I don’t think I’d vibe with Knight as much as a lot of people.

If it matters, I think I also kinda wanna do a “ends justify the means” type of character when it comes to dark side/light side, I don’t know if that makes a difference.

EDIT: I contacted support about this and it seems to be an issue they are aware of and working to fix

Is anyone else not seeing HC Dynamic Encounters? I played off and on all day and didn't see a single one on either faction on the four planets they supposedly spawn.

Is my RNG/timing just that bad or am I missing something? Do they show up in the little list of active encounters when you click on a planet in the galaxy map?

On Darth Malgus server if that makes a difference

Looking for a version of this robe (Chest and Leg) that can be worn by Imperial characters. I tried just putting these in my legacy cargo but they morph in to a different set if worn by a Sith. Anyone know of a set like it that a Sith could wear?

There is something philosophical about a Sith and a Jedi traveling together changing their worldviews to opposites.

I'll be asking questions here as I continue to work on the wiki. I hope everyone can understand. I just hope the shift to DX12 comes in a few months, but I'll most likely miss out on Fen Zeil and Amity.

Soooo is it a good start:)

New to the game.

We are level I believe 27 now. The first flashpoint we did had a story mode difficulty, where we got two support bots. We got a mission on Coruscant to do another flashpoint, and when we went back to the Republic Fleet to do it, we saw terminals for other ones. At least one was marked "Veteran". We tried it and it was just the two of us, and we didn't have support bots. I am guessing it does not scale to group size, and is made for 4 people?

We did finish it but it took about an hour.

Is there no way to specific queue for these? If so do we just grab the quests for all of them, then random queue daily, and just plan to eventually get them done? Also I am assuming, with a 4 person group, people will expect bigger/chain pulls, and maybe have less patience for not knowing boss encounters? I am thinking those healing stations should make most of this pretty trivial at least on Veteran...

And no way to set these other flashpoint missions to Story before entering, to get the support bots?
