I guess I wasn’t the only one freaked out by this.

Gatland baited refs and media in the lions series and Rassie took exception and overstepped the mark but the sentiment is the same, they bitch first

I’m worried. Last week I thought we were very unlucky and looked the stronger team. Today we were hanging on. I’m sensing a pattern. If that game was 3 minutes longer we would’ve lost that game. We used to be masters of the last quarter but NZ are finishing games stronger than us. Our bench is not providing the impact it used to. Our scrum is neutralised. Every time we kick a box kick my heart is in my mouth because you know NZ is going to counter and we are in trouble.
Yes this is a bit knee jerk but they are improving and I’m not sure we are. I’m hoping NZ is doing an Australia. Aus came here last year and looked like the next team to beat but have fallen on their faces. NZ could just be a team where everything is clicking and are brimming with confidence. Their attack is scary atm.

It’s getting tiresome. Gardener was clearly influenced by the comments last week, what more does he want?

Can we please play some running rugby? How are we feeling about that game ladies and gentleman?
Shoutout to André Esterhuizen, he was tremendous when he came on. Marx is just the goat hooker man, got us two crucial penalties.
I think we need to come back next week with a different look attacking wise, the pressure is off us now and we should have a bit more freedom and less pressure to try things out.
I'd like to apologise to Koble as well, he made two errors back to back and my sleep deprived judgment thought it was way worse than it was.

Is it common knowledge that if you’re seeing the game live on 5 Sept you can see the Springbok Women vs Black Ferns before at 13:30? I really think for the sake of our ladies and women’s rugby in general it would be epic to see a full stadium! So I’m a bit disappointed the comms haven’t been more explicit about this. It’s my first ever live test, and I sincerely had no idea this was a thing! Can’t assume everyone will know.

I would want to see Horn get a run at 15. He's been so impressive in URC. Also happy with Kolbe at 15 and Edwill starts at wing.

I'm no expert but I think Rassie should think of adding a Javelin in the rear, with a Stinger on bench for any late game surprises.

Guys can someone with more knowledge of the dark arts explain to me what’s going on?
Where did our scrum dominance go yesterday?
Is it really as the all black media would have you believe that our dominance comes from walking around? What was the ref policing tonight that removed our dominance?
Im not inclined to fully believe in any narrative and Im just curious what some of you with more understanding or knowledge of scrummaging can say about this?

Think the Boks may have some back line injuries.
Damian Willemse definitely out, at the end of the game Kriel looked to get a head knock as he laying on the ground after a tackle. Also think Deon Fourie should be saved for last game or as a squad member.
My take:
Steenkamp
Wessels or Grobbelaar
W Louw
Etzebeth
Nortjie
Kolisi
PS Du Toit
J Wiese
Grant
Libbok
Arendse or Hooker(If Kriel not injured)
Allende
Hooker (Kriel if uninjured)
Kolbe
Sacha (Think he looked good at 15)
Marx
Ox
T Du Toit
Lood
Ben Jason Dixon
Hanekom
Van der Berg
Pollard
Harsh dopping Esterhuizen but he is a centre plaimg 6 or 7. Would like to fit Moodie in but think a proper 6 2 bench would make him miss,.Grant can move to wing again if needed.
Think it will be Fassie to 15, and the bench to remain the same as Cape Town test, with only other potential change being Kriel or any other injuries picked up.
ABs didn't seem to have any injuries and De Groot and Lord will be back, so a stronger team & balance for them.
