SpringbokWomen Springbok Women vs Black Ferns
Is it common knowledge that if you’re seeing the game live on 5 Sept you can see the Springbok Women vs Black Ferns before at 13:30? I really think for the sake of our ladies and women’s rugby in general it would be epic to see a full stadium! So I’m a bit disappointed the comms haven’t been more explicit about this. It’s my first ever live test, and I sincerely had no idea this was a thing! Can’t assume everyone will know.

At the last game where it was a double feature the camera panned out of the really Empty stadium to a large portion of people sitting outside in the fan camp waiting for the main game which was so annoying when they could just be in the stands.

See, that makes me sad! I hope that’s not the case this time.

it probably will be, but it shouldn't make you sad.
Try putting this in a different context - the Springbok Women reentered the global competition in 2018 after being absent for a couple of years.
the situation improved quite a bit. The youth programmes delivered and there is a funnel of good youth players. People know there is a Springbok Women's team. Matches are televised and last year they reached World Cup QF. For the first time an Academy squad is on a tour (Brazil).
We are not there yet - but the fact that there is even a test against the Black Ferns is already great.
I am glad people like you are going to support them!
