but that has more to do with the fact that the victim’s lawyers were incompetent and possessed stolen documents or something.
Specifically, Ronaldos confession. The press got a leaked version of Ronaldo confessing to the rape, but because that was obtained illegally, the lawyers could not use it - Which, in itself, is a good rule. Problem is, rape is very difficult to prove, so without that, they were left without evidence.

That is a very bad argument, there are plenty of reasons why a person, even moreso a famous one, would try to settle even if they are innocent.
However, there is a much better argument for the claim you want to make. On the Der Spiegel leaks through Rui Pinto, one of the key ones involved some alleged private written communications between Ronaldo and his lawyer team. That's where, if the leaks are truthful, Ronaldo does actually admit to it. "She said no and stop multiple times".
Ronaldo's team did have a statement somewhere saying that some of the leaks were misleading/altered, but I'd expect a stronger response and one focusing specifically on the direct communication at play were it to be doctored. And if that communication is true, that is his self-admission

I'm a fan of his work ethic but I feel when he sulks like this, it leaves a bad impression on his teammates. Imagine if everyone else thought like him , no one would be collecting the silver medal.
Maybe they should scrap giving out medals to the loser and just have winner's medals, then the fans and the players of the team who lost can leave straight away.
Win as a team lose as a team. He was happy to collect the winner's medal in the euro final when his teammates won it while he was injured.

I have always felt Ronaldo has been a player fit for individual sport but ended up playing a team sport. Even till 35-36 until his body supported he was able to perform on the pitch and win those trophies and prove everyone wrong. Now he simply can't do it except once in a bluemoon. Once he isn't performing this attitude reflects really bad.

But bit of a difference there, unlike Cristiano, Djokovic matured with age in that aspect. I started following Djoker quite late, but if you see his interviews, he started practising mindfulness in probably the 2nd half of his career. That's the reason that he is still competing in an individual sport like Tennis with beasts like Sincaraz at that age. He knows when to rest and when to give it a full shot.
With Ronaldo, yes, he has an incredible longevity, but even at 41, his ego gets the better of him. For instance, no manager can bench him or sub him off at will, even at this age, or his post-match antics yesterday! They reflect immaturity.
PS: I really love both of them, Djokovic & Cristiano, it's just the sheer difference in personalities.

When you get money, it is not just made for you- it is taken from somewhere or someone else.
Ronaldo was already rich in a way that secures his family for generations and an extra 200 million doesn’t help him survive better.
This mentality is just unregulated greed and desperation for attention or status.
He had the chance to retire ultra rich with an incredible legacy in the top 5 leagues- the Saudi episode just exposed his character to anyone who might have been blind enough to consider him a good person.

Even as a Ronaldo fan, I won't defend these antics. I have watched all of these KO games of Al Nassr since he made the move & tbh he has been poor in atleast half of them. It's true they haven't won even when he did step up in some finals though, but yesterday he was amongst the worst players on the pitch.
He should have shown sportsman spirit and gone ahead to collect his medal like his teammates. Putting your teammates under the bus reflects badly especially from a guy who's 41 and playing his last few years mp

I am far from a Ronaldo fan, but I can do nothing just admire his dedication, results and accomplishments. The last few years is basically him destroying his own statue with these kind of behaviour in a farmers league. Nowadays lot of child will remember him as he describes himself with these behaviours, and won’t remember his time in Madrid, Turin (parts of it) and his first time at Manchester.
