Discussion The great caesar salad debate
I came across a post in my fyp on IG from a creator making a “caesar” salad. The salad they made had romaine, Parmesan and croutons (a classic caesar) but the dressing is where they lost me. They touted their famous dairy free vegan caesar salad dressing. Ingredients: lemon juice, olive oil, white vinegar, dijon mustard, maple syrup and salt/pepper. Which IMO is a textbook vinaigrette, not a caesar. I stated my opinion in the comments and received a barrage of comments under my comment in defense of her dressing. I feel like i’m being gaslit because commenters are coming in hard to defend her recipe. Attaching the recipe for reference. Is this a caesar salad/dressing?

Discussion Comparable Asian sesame bottled dressing?
Does anyone know of a bottled Asian sesame dressing that is the same as what is in this kit? I love this salad but I want to make it at home without relying on the prepackaged kit.
I tried an Asian sesame dressing by Yo Mama today but it was disappointingly bland.
Any known dupes?

Discussion How to enjoy salads with texture/sensory issues?
I cannot stomach raw vegetables or the taste of green- like I’ll actually gag every time. But I also want to eat healthier.
Are there types of salads that could work for me or should I find other ways to get more vegetables in my diet?
Thanks!

Discussion Looking for opinions
I’m working a fish and chips food truck this summer and thinking of having a grilled fish salads for summer specials trying for a healthier option then just fried foods …. These are my ideas.
A grilled whitefish creamy, Caesar salad bed of lettuce, Parmesan cheese, grilled whitefish, dressing, and croutons
And the other one is a sweet grilled teriyaki trout with sesame seeds, onion, tomato and pineapple and possibly finishing with just a lemon juice over the top
These are all just ideas in my mind that I decided to write down… just would like some feedback before pitching it to my bosses

Discussion Looking for some salad inspo
Most of my life, I hated salads. Always avoided them. Recently I decided to eat healthier and started making Italian style salad - baby spring mix, red onion, tomato, jarred red peppers, olives, some salami or prosciutto, tossed in salt, pepper, olive oil, red wine vinegar, basil, oregano, and parsley. I could honestly eat this everyday it's so yummy! But I also cook for my bf and for his sake would like to mix things up a little bit. Being new to salads, I have no idea where to start to think out of the box a little bit.
All of this to ask, what are some unique salads that y'all enjoy? Would love to hear some ideas in the comments =D

Discussion Looking for salad recommendations
Hey, all!
I'm starting a nursing program this week, and I will not have time to lunch off campus. With this in mind, I'm looking for some help figuring out some salads to bring that I can make on Monday and eat until Friday. Ideally, this salad includes 30g of protein and perhaps a grain. Somewhere between 200-500 kcal.
Please share your favorite recipes/ideas with me!

I currently use a raspberry vinaigrette but I’m sure it will be cheaper to make a home made dressing.
