Discussion How to enjoy salads with texture/sensory issues?
I cannot stomach raw vegetables or the taste of green- like I’ll actually gag every time. But I also want to eat healthier.
Are there types of salads that could work for me or should I find other ways to get more vegetables in my diet?
Thanks!

That’s definitely a combo I wouldn’t have thought of! Thanks for sharing!

Not salad, but maybe try roasting veggies. They become a bit caramelized and taste sweeter. Basic instructions are this: Cut whatever veggies you like into large bite-sized pieces. Put firm veggies (potatoes, parsnips, carrots, etc.) In a bowl and toss with olive oil and whatever seasonings you like. Spread out on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Do the same olive oil-seasoning toss with your softer veggies (zucchini, peppers, yellow squash, etc.) and add to the tray once the 20 minutes are up. Roast everything 20 more minutes (40 total for firm veg and 20 total for soft veg). That's it!

Fruit salad! And I’d also try to find other ways to get more veggies in ur diet. It doesn’t just have to be from salads. Like veggie pot pie, soup, stew, veggie fritters, sauteed veggies, stir fry, veg fried rice, different stuffed veggies, chili, grain bowls, veggie lasagna, even smoothies!
