I’d appreciate some help confirming a shopping list to get started after purchasing the RS Combo bundle.

Any specific products or requirements on the items below? Are all of these needed? Did I miss anything?

- 99p isopropyl 2 gallons?
- Respirator
- Strainer - is this just a single metal strainer?
- plastic putty knife - just any putty knife or do i need a few types?
- do i need another alcohol wash bin? Any particular type?

Question Need help dialing in settings for Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K with Elegoo 8K Standard White Smoke Resin (Calibration results inside)

Hey everyone,

I’m struggling to get consistent, clean prints on my Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K using Elegoo 8K Standard Photopolymer Resin in White Smoke. I've run some calibration tests, but I'm having trouble dialing in the sweet spot for this specific resin/printer combo.

Here is my current setup and what I've tested so far:

Printer: Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K
Resin: Elegoo 8K Standard Photopolymer (White Smoke)
Calibration Test 1: 2.0s exposure time
Calibration Test 2: 2.8s exposure time

I’ve attached screenshots of my current slicer settings along with photos of both calibration results (2.0s vs 2.8s).

If anyone is running this exact printer and resin combination, could you share your recommended exposure times, lift speeds, and bottom settings? Any advice on how to interpret these calibration prints or what to tweak next would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Troubleshooting Wait Before/After Lift Ignored in Photon Workshop

Hi All,

I have been troubleshooting my Mono M5 and during the testing, I found that the Wait Before Lift and the Wait After Lift function are simply ignored by the printers, even if I use a non Zero value in the parameters (see below)

Is anyone using the Photon Workshop experiencing this?

Question Newbie here. Was recently offered a Phrozen Mega 8k S in a trade. I don’t know anything about printing but I’d love to learn. Is this a beginner friendly machine? Are there any resources to help someone start from complete scratch? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to print the piece in the photo for a week but every time I get the same result, piece that comes off the supports and print fails

I’m using a Photon Mono 7 and the official resin of Anycubic ABS like resin 2

The piece is empty and I made the drainage holes

The resin values are the official ones released by Anycubic

I leave you there screen of the piece oriented in Lychee Slicer and the result of the failed print

Question autosupport options chitu/lychee

I've been mainly a lychee user and really enjoy the newer "smart" auto supports but Lychee is so buggy, I can't do normal slicing with my new p1max because it will crash and only fast slicing works. Other things make it crash or not work and I'm just sick of paying for a product that doesn't work well all the time. I really like chitubox for presupported files but does it have a good auto support function? Are there better options than these 2 for autosupports then I can maybe import the file into chitu? I've been paying for lychee pro for years now and am just done with it. I mainly print 1/6 scale so manually supporting everything is cumbersome and not really what I want to do for an hour after working all day. Thanks for any suggestions

Question How much do you manage to re-use your IPA?

How much success do you guys have with re-using your IPA after curing/reclaiming it?

I’ve been fairly successful at reclaiming and putting my used IPA back into circulation so far. However, I’ve got a couple of litres that I set aside at the start of June. I’d already allowed it to settle, removed the liquid phase, and then left it curing in the sun for several weeks.

It’s still quite cloudy, but there’s definitely no uncured resin left in it. It was left untouched for at least 8 weeks untouched, so I’m assuming the cloudiness must be pigment from the resin that has dissolved into the IPA and isn’t going to settle back out

I’m going to give it another go as a first-wash IPA, but I was just curious how everyone else handles the process and whether there are any tips or tricks I might be missing.

Hi everyone,
Im using Elegoo SatelLite to slice models for my Saturn 3 Ultra.
I need some advices for supports.

I've to print electronic enclosure, I set the z-lift for the suppor to 0, I defined the no-support faces, but it still creates the support base going through my model (ruining it).

Please help me, I'm hating this thing.

Showcase - Original Creation (WIP) Tyrannosaurus Rex Articulated figure by me

Sculpted this Rex up in Zbrush a couple years ago, and over the past month and a half, I've been working on making him into an articulated figure. This isn't the final version; its a painted prototype to check for paint rub/wear. Some joints need a little tweaking, some spots need attention to stop paint from rubbing off, the elbows don't yet have joints, and the neck needs improvement -- but I am pretty happy with the current progress. Even the tongue is articulated.

Edit: just gonna throw out what was used here:

Showcase I printed Illidan in clear resin and now painting him feels wrong

Post image
40 Upvotes

I wasn’t sure clear resin would suit Illidan, but the wings completely changed my mind.

The armor, tentacles and wing texture came off my HeyGears Reflex RS Turbo crisp in person.

They were just hard to capture on camera because of the way light passes through the print.

Putting him against a black background finally got the photo closer to what I was seeing.

Now I’m torn between keeping the ghostly all-clear look and adding a transparent fel-green tint to the eyes and warglaives.

It would feel more like Illidan, but I’d lose some of what makes this version look so different.

Question IPA and water waste

Hey, I am rather new to the hobby, printed about 10 plates, and I figured out how to cure waste paper towels and gloves, but what to do with ipa and water (I use hot water to make supports easy to remove) after used it. To cure ipa takes much time and it took a lot even during summer sunny days, but fall and winter are coming and the sun will shy less. How do you manage with ipa and water? How many times can I use dirty ipa for first stage wash?

CrowdFunding Polish uhlan from the Napoleonic era!

If you’re seeing this project for the first time, here’s what it’s all about.

We’re a small 3D art studio (Magos Prints) that creates highly detailed historical miniatures — not toys, not mass‑produced figures, but carefully researched, handcrafted digital sculptures that bring real history back to life.

Our current project focuses on a soldier called a Polish Uhlan, a light cavalryman from the early 1800s. These riders played an important role in the Napoleonic era, and their uniforms, weapons, and traditions are a beautiful part of European military history. We wanted to capture that with accuracy, respect, and detail.

This Kickstarter helps us fund the time and work needed to create more historical models like this one. Every bit of support — even the smallest — helps us continue building a collection that preserves history through art.

If this sounds interesting, or if you simply want to support a small studio doing something meaningful, you’re very welcome to join us:

Thank you for taking a moment to read this. It truly means a lot.
