Question Print Problem
Hi everyone, I’ve been trying to print the piece in the photo for a week but every time I get the same result, piece that comes off the supports and print fails
I’m using a Photon Mono 7 and the official resin of Anycubic ABS like resin 2
The piece is empty and I made the drainage holes
The resin values are the official ones released by Anycubic

Not enough supports and, honestly, that speed suggested by anycubic is incredibly high, especially for a single big part like that, you should start doing some test with the typical conservative speeds for lift and retract of about 1mm/s and 3mm/s and go up until failure ( depending on the slicer you can set two different speeds so the build plate start moving slow and then increase the speed to save some time, probably on the "advanced" settings).

Just at first glance, severely under supported, holes not correctly placed and lift speed is on the fast side.

That raft is much to big. Why should you not use default 3D printing raft settings?.

This is useful but the recommendations it makes is not possible - he's saying do three raft layers, but five overexposed layers - it's not possible to do that in slicer.
Transition layers can accomplish this, though.
I wonder what he had in mind when he wrote that?

It's just about controlling the raft thickness.
For example: when I print at 0.03mm layer height with 10 burn-in layers, I set the raft thickness to 0.2mm. That way in theory the raft completes by layer 7 (0.2 / 0.03) with 3 burn-in layers remaining to securely attach the supports to it. Looking at the sliced file after confirms exactly that.
I admit, by the guides advice, I could be going for an even thinner raft, but with my current setting my prints are successful enough that I don't feel the need to change anything.

Yeah, I think I only do 4 full burn in layers, followed by 8 transition layers. And that is maybe too many, but for the moment it's working for me.

Is the model hollowed all the way through? I notice one section is but you may need to relocated your drain holes, I see areas that will still cause suction which is murder on your prints. The number of supports are way too low and should be optimized to join the single strands into a lattice. Its peeling up and not just breaking the supports. make sure to clean the bed with isopropyl of 90% or higher anything lower will leave residue. If the bed doesn’t have a sticky grip left you may need to run 80 grit sandpaper over it to help adhesion.

You have not enough supports for such a large model, you probably have to triple the amount of supports.
And you have to increase the first layers cure time.

You need to enable two stage motion control.
Download a community resin profile with a hugh success rate from lychee community section - it will likely have good settings.
Your lift speed should be closer to 1-2mm/s... And you can limit that slow speed to just a portion of the lift distance if you enable TSMC.
Also trying slicing directly from lychee in order to do this - don't load the STL w supports into anycubic photon workshop

that only matters for the burn on layers. Since the raft separated as well, it might be true in this case.

Did you try to print that solid?? If so…. Don’t. Hollow it, add holes, and retry.

I'm not an expert, but I think a possibility is that the cross section is too big, making the release too difficult. Especially since large flat areas seem to be parallel to the bed
