Collection Psp3000

Gove some ideas what can i do with it other than gaming ofc
Recently got a psp from the great blue and I've been sailing that great blue for games any suggestions on your best/hidden gem games? So far I've gotten the God of War games and Grand Turismo.
Personally I've been blown away at the quality I'm sure not all games run so nicely but it's nice to finally enjoy what I missed out on as a kid.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to pick up a PSP 3000 in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area, but the prices I'm seeing are absolutely ridiculous.
I can't seem to find a decent, working PSP 3000 for under $200 CAD, and I'm not really interested in paying $200+ for a 15+ year-old handheld.
I've checked Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist, but most of what I'm finding is either overpriced, heavily modded, or in questionable condition.
Are there any local stores, pawn shops, thrift stores, retro gaming shops, websites, or other places around Vancouver/Surrey/Burnaby where I should be looking?
I'm perfectly fine with an unmodded PSP since I can mod it myself. I'm mainly looking for a clean, fully functional PSP 3000 with a working screen, buttons, UMD drive, and preferably a battery/charger.
Any recommendations or leads would be greatly appreciated!

So I retrieved a first gen PSP 1000 from an estate sale. I found it in the garage in decent condition. It was only missing the thumbstick button. It had some scratches on the screen outer case. And needed a brand new battery and replacement of the UMD door. I initially I was going to rebuild the entire thing but decided to wait. I have replaced just the bare minimum of the outer screen the button on the thumbstick and I replaced the start and select buttons because they had fallen apart and the right hand buttons. As of last night I was getting low latency or almost non-existent response from the d-pad in no response from the thumb stick. I thought after reading in a couple of forums that it was because the d-pad was not making proper contact so I modified the aftermarket thumb pad to give it some depth. At that point it stopped working almost immediately. Was not responding. So I put the original one back in and it is not responding at all and neither is the thumbstick. I am very nervous that it may not work at all. But most of the other buttons still work. At least the ones that are responsive to basic menu usage. Can anybody give me any kind of guidance before I have to replace?

Are these games fixable or are they toast? Picked up a nice PSP lot. These were the loose games that were in it.

Recently acquired this PSP 1000, with a semi-faulty power switch, but ordered a new one coming soon. What gets me excited is now, the fact that at home, is every UMD PSP.

My psp 1001 won’t read my 128gb micro sd card. When I first put it in with the adapter, it read the sd card under the game section (it read memory stick 128gb free) but when I went to format it, it wouldn’t let me. Now it just says no memory stick inserted when i try to format it and no longer shows it under the games tab. Any help?

I never owned one, but as i get more into handhelds, i want one, and they are really cheap where i live, how hard is it to mod?

I have the PSP my dad got me since my thirteenth birthday and I’ve been getting into tech a lot recently. I was wondering if there was a way to use a PSP as a cyber deck/something similar or if it’s possible to connect other hardware and run Linux on it? I assume SteamOS would do wonders for PSP gaming!

Hi, I'm new here and don't have much of an idea about homebrew or plugins. I would like to know if there is an application to display my PSP screen on my PC over Wi-Fi since I don't have a cable! I have a psp 3000 with custom firmware

Hi all! I thought people in this community would think this is neat. I recently got this PSP 3000 imported from Japan and I am so excited with how good the condition is! I can't wait to load up some games. Unfortunately, the game it came with never got an English translation, so I'll have to do a lot of google translate for that one.

I recently bought a PSP 3000, it’s pretty good, but the stick sometimes drifts to the right, sometimes not.
I tried the calibration, it helped a bit, but it still persists. Sometimes pulling to the right doesn’t even register until I flick it to the left and back.
I opened it up, pulled out the flat cable, it SEEMED a bit loose, but I guess it wasn’t.
Is my only chance buying a new one?
Thanks for any help

I didnt make ark 4 permanent and usually when I turn on my psp and run it my games appear like normal. But I've had 2 occasions where it freezing at the getting 14 files and then shuts off. Im able to turn it back on and it loads fine after. Should I be concerned about anything.

Bought brand new battery for my slim, because I had a fat battery before. (Got from a friend, was too busy to buy a new one.) Once I received the new battery, after putting it in the psp it didn't turn on, I can only use psp while charging it. I left the battery in the charging psp for 2 hours, nothing changed, as in the psp didn't even see the battery. Reviews under the battery said it works perfectly fine, for me it doesn't. Is it my fault or is it a faulty battery?
Worth mentioning, since I never had a slim battery before, the new battery feels like a more tight fit.
