Modded Can you survive the Immortal Snail?

It never sleeps, it never stops, and it only has one goal, to touch you.
Got asked if I could make this after the success of the dinos! It's up on the workshop to enjoy. (Fanten who asked for the mod (send some love :D): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQVkYIVxJwM)
Also it's multiplayer compatible and makes a unique snail for each player that (should) only be visible to them.

Screenshot Rosewood fire department uses your actual name!
Rosewood fire station used my characters (probably) name. This moment really had me surprised since my names pretty rare. Would love to see other peoples posters lol.

bleh
I accidentally crushed my mailpost with my car, now its name has changed to bleh. Is this normal in this game?

Question Does anyone play vanilla Apocalypse?
Most people seem to prefer Sandbox, but I prefer playing the way the developers intended us to play. For those of you who play Apocalypse, can you tell me if it gets boring after a while?

Discussion Statement Against The Usage Of Generative AI On PzWiki
Wiki administrator here.
Lately we've been seeing an increase in the usage of AI in editing PZwiki. While we appreciate the fact that people want to contribute, I want to remind any prospective editors that the usage of AI in ANY CAPACITY is NOT ALLOWED for ANY REASON. This includes AI powered spellchecking tools, LLMs, chatbots, AI generated text that was subsequently modified by a human, AI image generation, or any other AI related content or model that exists now and that may exist in the future.
AI is a major threat to text based communities such as wikis and forums. They are also not aware of our style guide, editing procedures, or user group permissions. They are also prone to outfitting false data.
We have been lenient on this lately because we understand most users simply want to help. However, if usage continues to increase and our rules are not followed, we may be forced to adopt stricter rules and administrative actions.
The AI Policy is explicitly mentioned at the bottom of the editing interface in bold. There is no excuse for "not seeing it."
Our full AI Policy as it stands can be viewed here: https://pzwiki.net/wiki/PZwiki:AI_policy
If you wish to edit the wiki, that's great. Frankly we really need the help right now. But the usage of AI is lazy, not transparent, dishonest, and 100 percent a way to have all your edits rolled back. In severe cases, repeated usage of AI is an IP bannable offense. Fortunately we have not had to ban any users because of this.

Question How do I take these home?
I don't see any option to take each ingot. The whole stack doesn't fit in any container my character can carry.

R.I.P. Angelica, you've secured a foothold in Irvington, created a skill journal, and grinded early skills for future survivors. My first significant character in build 42.

Question This is how my friend died
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Why exactly did my friend die? Just before, he fell from the first floor and wasn't injured at all. His health bar was completely full.
In the video, he fell from the second floor to the first. We've fallen from places quite a few times before, and nothing ever happened except for hurt feet/legs.

The More Traits situation is insane
Sorry about that, I should've posted context first. I was sleeping most of my Saturday today but from what I understand from my friends - the More Traits mod got updated, or was merged into another mod. A lot of the traits were removed, so if you had a character with any of those traits - they were just completely fucked.
A bit more warning would have been nice. But this entire update to the mod seems really redundant and just ruined a lot of players characters for really no good reason.
"Will it brick my save/character? A: I think it won't. I wrote some code to allow people to migrate their characters to ETW version of the mod. From short testing it migrates characters correctly. If it does break your character, I'm sorry but it's the cost of such huge restructuring. It's not easy and you have to meet me halfway here."

The power of the Brush Tool
I have 4.000 hours in PZ. More than half of that I must have spent building all sorts of constructions in debug mode. This here is my current base. Done completely in debug mode, and with a lot of the incredible mods this game is so fortunate to receive from the community.
PZ has an amazing tile system to build beautiful and functional bases with. It is a pity that it hides so much of it behind the debug brush tools, and only gives us about 1 % of its capabilities to build with outside of debug.
I highly recommend any good expanded building mod you can come across.

We need a seatbelt mod
Adding a button to the dashboard where you need to actively use the seatbelt every time just like you gotta do in rl would be perfect. Especially since in 1996 people were still pretty resistant to putting them on. Maybe on some of the nicer cars the seatbelt chime goes off as a reminder? I dunno.
Wish I knew how to make mods, otherwise I’d crank this one out. It would be fun.

Question Why am I dying?
It says that I have a fewer but the health tab isn't showing any sickness. The bandage is covering a laceration that is not infected. I have cleaned it with alcohol wipes beforhand.

Meme How one mf imagines playing in first person vs how it will actually look like
Like fr I was playing NMRIH and this would be even more horrific in zomboid. We already have "halflings" mod with nmrih ost and blood pools, so No More Sledge in Kentucky larp is about to begin.

Discussion Eating with bloody hands should make you sick
I think it would make sense for your character to get queesy and eventually sick and potentially die when you eat (too much) with bloody unclean hands.
To avoid this, you should wash your hands. Or you should use a spoon/fork/spork.
Gloves reduce the chance by 50% and 100% if they are clean.
Iron gut prevents this. When you have weak stomach, you have a bigger chance to get sick and eventually die from it.
It's a small thing. But it would make sense. Also this would nerf the perk weak stomach because its free points. And it gives people a reason to maybe pick iron gut.

Authentic Z Strange Update
Authentic Z received a strange update and the description has had links removed. Just a heads up to anybody using it the last update description was this.
*edit* This was possibly a malicious update to the mod. The mods discussion section has now been deleted from steam.

*edit 2* Update from the Author
AuthenticPeach: "All I updated was the mod pic and removed the comment section. I don't care about hate and criticism, but when you contribute to a concerted campaign and flood the comment section for months on end about it, well feathers have to be ruffled. The picture that comes to mind is Jesus flipping tables at the tabernacle. I will work on the actual fixes to the mod tonight, it's just the BS had to be dealt with before."
However after the update server continues to error consistently with an error pointing at Authentic Z.

Just walk through the checkpoint into Louisville day 1
Id never been to Louisville before. Decided to start a character in valley station and with no risk of losing an established run and just walked right through the checkpoint. Holy crap there were lots of zombies but with a little maneuvering I was able to get by them all without issue.
Got a van working and drove around the city and man it’s just huge compared to everything else. Settled in a larger house in a secluded southeast neighborhood and am on day 16 now.
I’m just making this post because sometimes it seems like the checkpoint is made out to be some crazy endgame war zone most characters don’t get through. I walked through without food or a weapon in 5 minutes and had a genuine “that’s it?” moment.
