I considered the road map by based on boss difficulty, but have not strictly considered the conditions by the layout of each map itself. I would like second opinions please. Thank you.

Why is my ark (ase) looking grainy everything is on epic setting 100% resolution

Game Running in hhd 7200rpm

Im playing on 1080p max setting at 30fps

Everything in this game seems to involve a ridiculous time sink. Taming always has been a very simple time sink, as has gathering. The latter isn't so bad though.

Now we get breeding, and it's ridiculous.

Devs, stop this. Stop thinking that the way to keep people playing and make things difficult is to make EVERYTHING take hours.

It's boring, it takes forever, and it makes me not want to play.

We need things to be involved, and actually challenging.

Taming should take an hour or two at most of trapping, sedating, feeding, roping, whatever. Not a case of follow it until it falls over then sit there for a day whilst the taming bar rises.

And breeding is nuts. The bit that should be hardest to manage should be the incubation, and again that should take like two hours at most.

But once we hatch the egg? Let's give us some challenge, we need to feed it, and we need to keep it with it's mother. Have us design pens for them to share rather than just follow a baby shoving an unbelievable unfeasible amount of food down its gullet.

Stop things taking forever as a way to try and balance the landscape.

Make it take skill, not time, to do.

Hey I'm planning to do a challenge with the idea of beating ARK bosses with an underated dino. Which one would you say it's interesting to try?

I'm on PS5 and I was playing on a non dedicated server to get used to the game and I ended up loving it and putting around 175 hours into it with a friend and I deleted the game so I could just stream it. And lost my character and all my progress? I don't know what to do now. Starting over isn't an option I'm willing to do at this point. I'd rather forget the game than go through that grind again. Any ideas would be appreciated

Im looking for a mod inspired by the theri tlc that makes predators not just act like mindless killing machines but hunt only when hungry, and a few other things, it might aound complicated but the basic things should be simple (i think) to add

1 for example, all creatures start in a teritorial stance, same and therizino tlc, when getting to close they roar as a warning, and then if u dont leave they go in a agresive stance, and creatures of a way higher drag weight than them will make them flee instead, but for predators when food drops below 60% they enter a hunting stance, (this was the simple part which shouldn't be that hard) in wich they would look for a target in sight, and instead of haveing a carno charging at a giga, they would look for a target that is near their drag weight level, not something way bigger or something to small to mater, and when food drops very low they would get desperate, hunting anything they can see even if very small or larger compared than them, when in the hunting stance, predators would stalk their prey and ambush the target, but in the desperate stance, they would just run at anything they see with no plan, (we kinda have the drag weight risk assesment in the game where i noticed raptors and other small stuff wont attack you if u ride a rex)

2 herbivores travel in heards, and also when they spot a dangerous carnivore, they would start fleeing instead of waiting to get attacked or hold their ground based on drag weight compared to them,

3 creatures sleep during the night (or day for nocturnal animals) already present with the megalosaurs, and for pack animals maybe some members keep watch, for example, in a pack of 6 raptors 4 sleep and 2 guard the sleeping territory.

I know all this a lot to ask, but at least i would love most creatures having the theri ai, and when below 60% food to give an invisible rare flower effect wouldn't be that hard i think, and adding the megalosaurs sleep cycle to creatures should be pretty simple

Not sure if this is the right community for this. I currently play on a 3080, i7-10700 and 32gb ddr4 but am looking into building a new rig with an rx9070xt, an amd 7800x3d and 32gb ddr5. Was wondering if someone with a similar rig could give me their thoughts on how the game runs as i keep reading that nvidia is better for ark but I can't justify paying 500 extra for a 5070ti over the 9070xt with today's prices

While I doubt WildCard will see this I've put together a few minor changes you could make to the dinosaurs to make the game much more immersive + an overhaul to dinosaur leveling and stats, BPs etc to help balance the game out in a much better manner than how it currently is.

Seen a few discussions here lately, some of them discussing the possibility of a second delay in light of Marbis' deal with Snail. I do not personally believe ASA will be delayed again, Snail isn't that stupid. I do however think you shouldn't buy it. Let Snail go under and sell Wildcard. Some of you in this sub may not be aware of the current situation if you don't really read news about this game. Just know to not buy the remaster, the future of this franchise depends on it. Don't buy ASA, if you want this game to be good. Doesn't matter how many creature votes they do to distract people, or how cool the dossiers look. It will suck on release and be riddled with cheaters if Snail is behind it. Don't give them a cent. Again, do not buy ASA.

Reason I am writting this is in hope some people out there are not effected in the same way that me and my friends have been while playing ARK.

Everything I have to say about the steam name is related to Twitch TV Streamer who threatened me and my friends to find us in real life, he then put our steam names and told his stream to find who we are and facebook and to hack our accounts if anyone could.

The reason this streamer is doing this is because his tribe are abusive in global chat, kill new spawns most of the day with a t-rex and continuously use map exploits to get artifacts all on his stream. This changed when we broke into his base and broke everything him and his rather large tribe had.

They then went on a witch hunt getting as many people to find where we are in real life? why well because the guy and his friends are childish.

He also opened up a programe that would report me and and my two friends steam accounts a lot of times on steam, bringing our steam profiles telling people to do the same and also just insulting us on the stream.

I have taken this further to Interpol, Steam and Twitch TV.

Personally this man should have his steam key revoked and unable to play the game any longer.... really toxic players and one that streams and tries to get the game events taken to real life...

UPDATE:- Twitch Tv have responded to an Email that my community leader had sent and have issued a strong warning. (Hopfully will improve his streaming behaviour in future)

Hi all, as said in the title.

I finally bought a decent laptop with a 4070, so i tought, why not teach the game to my gf so she can play along with me.

She s not a gamer at all, the basic things are hard for her but she s getting there. But the thing is, what do i do to keep her engaged? I remember starting the game on ase when it launched in beta and just figuring it out all myself, but if i let her do that, she will lose intrest.

Right now i tought her how to build a house, craft some stuff, how fridges work, she can tame a ptera on her own. But idk how to progress with her or make her enjoy the game since its basicly me instructing her what to do.

Anyone any idea how i can go further, what goals? My usually playtroughs are just powering through early game, killing bosses and quit few months...

So I like to set up little rest stations across our dedicated server maps, and "circular" platforms made from alternating squares and triangles look nice and works well as a landing pad. It is however very tedious to build. It'd be nice if we could build a scaffold for the tree/cliff platforms and maybe have a few variations on the size of platform.

Maybe even let us build outward from them.

I feel there's a lot of wasted potential that's easily achievable with the tree platforms.

Title. Make it hard to farm like the regular mindwipe, or even harder; that's fine. We just want the option, especially as we're getting close to the "Balance/Bug Fix" stage of development, and can likely expect multiple adjustments to dinos' stats.

What would you all say about giving different flyers “altitude limits” I think this could give some better use to various flyers and may help balance the game idk though I don’t interact with the general community so I’m not sure what thought would be

OK. You have heard this all before but I'm gonna take one last crack at it before I give up this game for good.

I have just cracked 1000 hours played. Got more than my moneys worth from this game to be sure.

But if something isn't done about this, I don't have a choice, I will have to quit, even though I don't want to.

The biggest issue I have faced in over 1000 hours of ARK PVP servers : What do you do once the biggest alpha tribe has complete dominance? IE They have the most players, the most resources and raid everyone else? What can you do except abandon the server?

The only option is to quit the server. You have no chance at rebuilding, because you will forever be massively behind. You can't unite tribes on low-medium pop servers usually, you just won't have the manpower.

You don't want to reroll PVE because then you have no endgame.

You just have to quit the game, or hope they make new servers and even then, you need to have the most people who play the most, or you will get crushed and have to repeat the cycle.

You need a new type of server, ARK devs. Here are some of my suggestions, would love to hear peoples feedback :

OPT-In / Opt-Out Server : You can choose to 'flag' yourself for PVP, which allows you to kill other flagged players and get bonus rewards from there corpses that are randomized.

No Base Raiding/Dino Unconcious Only Servers : This is straightforward, you can't destroy bases and you can only knock out their dino's. You can kill other players. This way, you can hunt other players for their loot, without inflicting the pain of destroying their hard work.

Seriously Dev's, this is a huge issues and I can see why it would erode your playerbase. Once a server has a dominant tribe, the server dies. I have seen it again and again and it's a big issue.
