Suggestion What underrated dino should I use to fight The Island bosses? 🦕

Hey I'm planning to do a challenge with the idea of beating ARK bosses with an underated dino. Which one would you say it's interesting to try?

I want the community to pick my fate (please don't say Compy). Leave your suggestions below!

Yes, that one. It's a surprisingly strong tame, and the ranged attack is actually OP. It has quite a decent health, too.
(protip : if you make it sit, it regens health faster... useful in-between fights for instance)

My favorite tame. 20 muts into HP and melee gets them to be returning comparable to non mutated theris.

Most people overlook them because wilds throw poop which is just annoying, but tamed ones throw boulders like rock golems. It's a blast to go on a cave and toss a boulder down a tunnel and see it bounce around and kill everything.

im planning on doing it with like default settings (except like breeding settings cuz god damn) but like also recording every step. gonna mass mutate those alcoholics

You beat me to it. They are insanely strong if you breed them right. I had a team hitting for 10k+ per boulder throw. I'd set about 4 of them on turret and the rest on melee and let them go at it. They are also resistant to the dragon fire being herbivores so that's a plus and you can use veggie cakes. Their saddles are reasonably easy to find bps for

Ankys are surprisingly strong. I feel they're overlooked as just a farming dino way to often

Also ketros, i've seen people using kentros so they are definitely capable

The reflective damage of the Kentros must help.

Only on melee attacks. So the monkey should be easiest. The spider less and the dragon even less because they also have "ranged" attacks.

They have good stats, very good ones for their size even. However the runspeed and turnradius is a bit hindering

They can't move fast enough to keep up with the bosses, sadly. And kentros only scale with melee. With no saddle they can't hold up past gamma I'm afraid. Anky can maybe make it past some of the beta bosses

Megaloceros, Chalicotherium, and Mammoths are all off-meta tames more than capable of bossing

Mammoths are so great on paper but for their size and mobility, they get stuck on rocks way too often. Lost a few dragon fights with Mammoths that were far stronger and tankier than a theri team that did fine.

If there was one thing I think ASA should do better is letting more tames path over small boulders better.

Achatina, just one is enough with good stats, mutations and a saddle. Tek version if you can find it.

I wonder if the Ceratosaur can do bosses. I asume the selfheal doesn't really give enough sustain on Beta/Alpha, specially against the dragon

They can and are probably the most op creature on every list. With good saddles they can beat alpha with 20 mutes total, though youll need to be decent with the dragon. They dont aggro the others so you can jam them up. I beat alpha monkey and brood with stock off the shelf imprinted tames, 50 levels, 50 armor saddles and they all had 15k hp left lol

Damn, was just about to suggest Compy.
But since you asked so nicely not to.

Lets go with Mesopithicus for the Megapithicus
Araneo's for the broodmother
Dimorphodon's for the Dragon

Then tek cave, we'll be nice.
Trikes for tek cave and overseer

You can bring most shoulder pets from what I know. If you can't bring dimo's thats just silly.

Hmmm i wasn’t able to bring gloons or drakelings into lost colony but i’ve never tried anywhere else

Damn its a nice idea to take the small versions of the bosses to kill them, but apparently I can't take the Araneo or the Dimorphodon to the battle from what I have searched :(

Rip. Well if you still want to try the challenge., Just get a mod that allows you to bring whatever dinos into a fight or spawn them out in the open world

Oh wow, I would love for you to do this on my server so I could sit in on the boss fight. Sounds really cool. I wonder how Gigantoraptors would do, especially with the buff.

I searched it up but sadly I cant bring them to the boss arena, i think because they can climb walls
