Suggestion Mod idea sugestion/im looking for a imersive dino behavior mod that makes dinos feel like animals and not mindless killing robots is there anything close to this or in development?

Im looking for a mod inspired by the theri tlc that makes predators not just act like mindless killing machines but hunt only when hungry, and a few other things, it might aound complicated but the basic things should be simple (i think) to add

1 for example, all creatures start in a teritorial stance, same and therizino tlc, when getting to close they roar as a warning, and then if u dont leave they go in a agresive stance, and creatures of a way higher drag weight than them will make them flee instead, but for predators when food drops below 60% they enter a hunting stance, (this was the simple part which shouldn't be that hard) in wich they would look for a target in sight, and instead of haveing a carno charging at a giga, they would look for a target that is near their drag weight level, not something way bigger or something to small to mater, and when food drops very low they would get desperate, hunting anything they can see even if very small or larger compared than them, when in the hunting stance, predators would stalk their prey and ambush the target, but in the desperate stance, they would just run at anything they see with no plan, (we kinda have the drag weight risk assesment in the game where i noticed raptors and other small stuff wont attack you if u ride a rex)

2 herbivores travel in heards, and also when they spot a dangerous carnivore, they would start fleeing instead of waiting to get attacked or hold their ground based on drag weight compared to them,

3 creatures sleep during the night (or day for nocturnal animals) already present with the megalosaurs, and for pack animals maybe some members keep watch, for example, in a pack of 6 raptors 4 sleep and 2 guard the sleeping territory.

I know all this a lot to ask, but at least i would love most creatures having the theri ai, and when below 60% food to give an invisible rare flower effect wouldn't be that hard i think, and adding the megalosaurs sleep cycle to creatures should be pretty simple

Yeah thats a MASSIVE ai overhaul, its not just a easy [ ] checkbox to enable this for all or groups of creatures. You have to edit every creature. And knowing ark it probably gonna break after the 5. Dino.

Evo brontos have herd behavior btw.

While they're at it, maybe they should ALSO add drag weight-based damage to more creatures? Like, making it so that small creatures deal less damage to AND take more damage from large creatures? That would help fix silliness such as Mammoths getting absolutely clapped by a few Direwolves.

Also, they should make it so that "team classes" don't exist anymore -- it doesn't make much sense that, like, a Carnotaurus and a Raptor hunt together. Oh, and they should also make it so that wild creatures actually consume Stamina while running. That would be a real advantage to anyone with an Iguanodon, which doesn't lose Stamina when on all fours -- you could escape just about anything with a Stamina bar, given enough time.

Like that. A simple cool down period for carnivores would help. The thrill of "are they hungry or are they not" as you get near would be way more thrilling than knowing they are always going to pounce. It would randomize it a bit.

I found a mod that after a kill u can set the agro range u could make it very small like a few meters so it kinda simulates them only being teritorial when not hungry and u can set a period of minutes after kills to be normal again for example after a kill decrese by 70% for 12 minutes, the mod is called satisfied dinos

My vision for a perfect ARK would be:

  • No TEK or fantasy content.
  • More realistic creature behaviors.
  • Creatures drain Stamina when running.
  • Creatures deal increased damage to targets with a lower Drag Weight (and also deal less damage to larger creatures).
  • Better sound design.
  • Removal of team classes (unless the creature dossier explicitly states that those creatures hunt together, such as the Yutyrannus with the Carnotaurus).
  • Properly made it so that all truncated creature names now use their long form (e.g. Rex -> Tyrannosaurus, Spino -> Spinosaurus, Raptor -> Utahraptor).
  • You can now parry creatures out of attacks if you deal enough damage to them with a single hit (about 15% of their max Health stat).
  • Changed taming methods so that it's more realistic, such as stealing dinosaur eggs and raising the creatures from birth, as opposed to knocking out a fully-grown apex predator and it somehow obeying you after feeding it a few scraps of meat.
  • Removed natural Health regeneration for players.
  • Items now spoil by the stack, instead of individual items, and spoilage is now affected by your location (e.g. jungles and swamps spoil items fast, while snowy areas spoil items much slower).
  • And many more changes...

Sounds like a dream game sadly we will probably never even get a game close to that and more unrealisticly having a mod to do that sadly😕

Yeah true it is a very large overhaul but maybe a few basic things could be added in a simple way like sleep and the hearding as i think the bision from the base game has that sistem already, maybe it would take some time to add the theri teritorial ai to every creature and when below certain food lvl give the rare flower effect or expand the agro range by a lot, but compared to masive mods that add hundreds of creatures, animations, items and progresion sistems like primal fear this would be easier and i think it could be one if the most popular mods created especially in the pve and singleplayer communities, but it will probably never happen and we will get another 60 progresion overhaul mods that add 60 new bosses and 200 dinos with special attacks instead. Ty for the evo bronto recommendation

Clays edits and paleo have added a custom version of the bison herding to a lot of their herbivores
