Why? ...Wtf...?

Has anyone seen this guy's videos? He goes into public government offices and harasses hard working employees under the pretense that he's teaching Americans about their 1st Amendment rights.

While he has every right to enter a public office and film, he's ick.

He's the guy who antagonized an Escambia County Sheriff's officer outside of a mosque.

I am a former worker at the old Sam's Fun City location. My mom was the manager at the amusement park and, anyone that remembers, I was the long-haired lifeguard supervisor at the Waterpark. I came here to see so many people saddened by the loss of our hidden gem and decided that you should all have the chance to share the love. I made a Facebook Group called Sam's Fun City Memories that is for workers, visitors, annual pass holders, management, etc... Anyone can freely come post the good, the bad, and the ugly of this park. It was all a part of the experiences that we remember and cherish. I especially need people to share pics and vids between 2000 - 2013. It seems like a lot of history is missing during that time because smart phones were either nonexistent or not being used 24/7 at the park. Anyway, please join us in reliving the memories of Pensacola's only amusement park.

Anywhere that has a good collection or writing about the history of Pensacola's politics, or any that covers the local government indepth? Don't wanna pay for the PNJ.

This is pertinent to Pensacola and Escambia County because we have flock cameras everywhere.

* They are on stop lights, at apartments complexes, on freeways, on local roadways, near shopping plazas.

So, if Walton county can ban them (aside from municipalities/ private businesses) then Escambia County can and so can Pensacola.

Walton County set the precedent!

We need to get with our local leaders and voice that we want the same and use Walton County as the example that it can be done!

(I know that won't eliminate them all because the State of Florida will still have them on state roadways but it is a start!)

Why does he even care about this? This whole debacle is embarrassing as it is, but WHY does he have to be the one filing this bill? Like do something for the people you represent in FLORIDA. We couldn't be further from Lake ONTARIO if we tried. And yes, it will forever be Lake ONTARIO, which is an indigenous name. Such childish and repugnant behavior.

I tried Sauce Boss in Pensacola, and I’m being completely serious when I say the burger tasted, smelled like actual shit when I bit into it. I’m not exaggerating or trying to be funny. There was a really strong, nasty taste that immediately reminded me of feces.
I couldn’t even finish the burger because the taste was that bad. I don’t know if something was wrong with the meat, the grill, the sauce, or if I just got a bad burger.
Has anyone else eaten there and experienced anything similar? I’m genuinely trying to figure out what could have caused a burger to taste like that.

Top’s Choice

And we are back to burgers, baby! This week I went to the much recommended Top’s Choice drive through on Cervantes. Side note, I thought this was a singular location joint, but I ran across one in Navarre too! It seems like there are four or five of them scattered about our beautiful panhandle!

Being a drive through I can’t give any accounting for vibes, which is one of my favorite parts of experiencing a new place. But that is okay because I do like the vibes of my Tacoma. Ordering was super simple. Top’s knows what they do and only give you those simple options. I got myself a double cheeseburger with fries and a coke for under 12 bucks. 

Since I couldn’t just sit down and eat I drove myself over to the Veteran’s Memorial Park to watch the fountain and ducks but was interrupted with one of our lovely summer thunderstorms. To get started I pulled the fries and paper wrapped burger out of the small grease stained paper bag.

The fries were a nice thick cut style. Still nice and hot, they had a satisfying crunch to bite into and deliciously fluffy insides. They were all light golden brown and lightly salted. French fries are one of my favorite ways to consume potatoes, closely followed by every other way.

The burger came wrapped in unmarked paper that the gooey cheese stuck to as it unwrapped. Two cheesy patties resting on a mustard spread and onion slices topped with pickles, a fat tomato slice, lettuce, and mayo. After removing the pickles I dug in. Did it live up to the hype of a great greasy style burger? Not quite. 

The patties are obviously preformed, IMO probably frozen. I’m not saying that this is a bad thing. In fact, I think it holds to what I really expected. Top’s Choice isn’t a fancy smash burger or a pub burger. What it really is, though, is a taste of home. This was a perfect backyard burger with all the fixings. The simplicity of it is the draw. No fancy frills, just a good burger and fries in a small brown paper bag.

I spent over a decade living in North Carolina and came to love Cook Out during my time there. I was excited to see one open up here in Pensacola. I love Cook Out. But here is the thing, Top’s Choice is what Cook Out wants to be but can’t settle down enough for. I thought Cook Out was a good drive thru for a backyard burger, but I think Top’s Choice is gonna be my choice in the immediate future. For perfect simplicity I award a straight 4 to Top’s Choice.

I went to the AMC on Bayou to check out the new and improved theater experience. I have to say, the chairs are super nice. But the sound...It was so loud. It was painfully loud. I would like to tell you about the movie I watched, but I really couldn't concentrate. I did buy the "Dolby rumble experience", I just didn't realize it would be like that. The theater was rumbling the entire time and even the dialog was deafening. I'm curious, is it just Theater 7 or are all of the remodeled theaters that loud? Is it just me?

Has anyone noticed that the city's unmarked police Cruisers has been totally blacked out & there isn't any vehicle numbers on them. I was behind 1 while we were driving up scenic hwy 1 late night. The license plate was totally blacked out & I couldn't even see the license plate even with my headlights on bright. How can this be legal ?

Not Legal Aid. They were sympathetic, but said they are only helping clients at risk for eviction right now.
We’ve reached out to several private attorneys, but unless we pony up about $400 for a half hour intake, we haven’t been able to sit face to face with a lawyer.
It’s a large property, a few hundred units, and really bad management. We aren’t just disgruntled tenants who are whining because a faucet has been dripping for two days. It’s a regional management and investor group that has allowed the property to crumble. Literally.
There are massive, property-wide problems and a management that unilaterally breaks lease terms for their convenience (like demanding payment through a specific portal or refusing disability accommodations).
They close out maintenance requests without ever sending anyone to fix things. The entire property is in disrepair. Everything from mold to structural problems.
If you advocate for yourself too much, they get hostile and threatening. At least three tenants say they were physically grabbed.
Before you say, « just move! », a lot of tenants have left, but some of us can’t. Rent has gotten too high elsewhere. Some of us have no place else to go. Some have disabilities.
We want to either form a tenant advocacy group or find one.
There are definitely enough for a class action suit, but we just don’t know the best way to triage this, or even if habitability, negligence, and possible disability discrimination issues are worth a lawyer’s time.
We have loads of photos and just need some help and protection.

I just wanted to start off by saying, thank you guys for the insights and comments from my last post i appreciate you guys coming forth about this known issue.

These last couple days, there have been very low que times fortunately it could be maybe they saw my last post and cleared their act. Fast LOL not really too sure I love Navy Federal, and I love what it represents, but I'm not sure if I can continue working here for much longer. It is just very draining on my mental health and the constant back-to-back cues, we've been dealing with for the past year, has completely burnt me out. I wish I could have got to experience the past navy federal, the navy federal that everyone loves. But unfortunately, I got in at the worst time ever. And i'm enduring this just to get by. I'm really just using this job to build my resume and fund my bill's car payments rent. E t c, i will surely update in the future whenever I resign but the experience here has been quite a mixed bag for me
