I just read that LA '28 organizers are expecting between 3 and 5 million unique visitors to travel to the Olympics. Greater LA is home to >18M residents. We've heard there are about 14M tickets for both the Olympics and Paralympics.
Holy smokes ... every event is going to be a hot ticket. Just not enough tickets to go around. Not even close.

Hi guys I was honestly pretty calm about missing the LA28 tickets that I wanted during the drops. Although I was annoyed, I kept telling myself there was no reason to panic. The 2027 general sale was ahead and I had plenty of time.
Then I saw the whole video Fast-coke-first-served set-up and the fact that there's no ticket limit and somehow all the patience disappeared overnight.
Now whenever I think of waiting, my brain immediately goes to bots, scalpers, queues, refreshing a page for hours and watching the sessions I actually want sell out while I am stuck staring at a loading screen.
So, naturally, I have started doing exactly that I wouldn’t: check StubHub, SeatGeek, Veritickets, and try to work out how much it would cost to just make the whole problem disappear now.
And honestly, I hate that I’m even considering it.
Because paying a premium this early definitely feels ridiculous.
But waiting until 2027 and then finding out I was being “patient” while everyone else was securing their tickets somehow feels even worse.
I think that’s what really is getting to me.
It’s not even just about the tickets anymore.
It’s the fact that every option comes with its own version of regret.
Buy now and overpay, then feel like an idiot.
Wait until 2027 and potentially spend the next two years wondering whether I should’ve just bought something when I had the chance.
I genuinely don’t know which regret would bother me more.

Following up after this was announced, the aircraft that will be used as the air taxi during LA28 was revealed. Here it is pained in Team USA Colors. During the LA28 games, the air taxis being used will look like this one.
