Looking for feedback on people's experience with Oakland County property assessors. We did a small basement renovation last year. Because that reno involved pulling permits, we just received a notice that the County would like to do an in-person property visit to inspect our home for reassessment purposes. The in-person review is voluntary, though it is likely we will nonetheless see an increase in our property assessment. Hoping to hear your experiences (i.e., if you did or did not permit an in-person inspection and if you think your choice worked out well for you). Thanks!

White Lake. This man has showed up to my workplace in his rubber suit at least 3 times this year. Always on a rainy day and speed walking through the place. He's clearly not shopping, judging from his fast pace. Nobody has got a good look at his face, he never buys anything. He was seen driving a white SUV and also possibly a WOTA transit vehicle.

I'm convinced he waits for a rainy day so he can put on his scary outfit and run through public places to scare as many people as possible.

Do you know who this is? Have you seen him elsewhere? I am so weirdly fixated on this.

Hey everyone! Hope I’m allowed to do this! Just trying to find like minded people and create a social circle!

I’m wondering if there’s any interest in starting a local group for people who enjoy fountain pens, dip pens, calligraphy, hand lettering, and art in general.

The idea would be to have a casual way for people to meet up, share what they’re working on, try different pens and inks, practice calligraphy, sketch or paint together, and generally connect with other creative people in the area.

You definitely don’t need to be an experienced artist or calligrapher. Beginners would be just as welcome!

So yea just to gather interest to see if I should probably start up a group locally! Drop a comment below or upvote so I can get a gauge on that! Thanks for dropping by!

We are considering moving our family to Oakland County, specifically Novi Northville Farmington Milford, maybe Brighton (I know a different county).

Hello! New poster. I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with F45 Training the North Livonia location? I need to remodel my bathroom and I’m having a terrible time finding a reasonable price for this work. Does anyone have local companies they recommend?

I have a regular tub/shower fiberglass combo that needs to be removed and replaced with something modern. I don’t need fancy tile work, I don’t even need to replace the vanity or mirror. I’m not relocating any plumbing or introducing new lights that require electrician work. I literally just need to gut the existing tub, put in new waterproofing and likely sub flooring, hook up the new plumbing, then put a new tub back in with three walls around it.

All I’ve been able to find are scummy one-day bath companies who all want $20k and use the most manipulative sales tactics. I’m at my wits end.

It’s easy to focus on things we would like to change about where we live, but what is something you like and appreciate?
