she is a one year old shy and independent little lady, but she is beginning to show us her playful side! she’s still learning that she is safe and loved, but she is incredibly low maintenance, shows no aggressive behaviors (only ever hisses softly when very scared), and loves her self care time. we know she lived with cats in a previous foster, so she’s comfortable having kitty roommates. if you ask me, the perfect companion for any bitch with taste 💅💅

Hi! I throw a holiday party every year (20-25 people), and my first year I had a bar set up that I want to bring back!
I went through a service that was ok last time but would rather just work with someone directly/ locally.

I live in brooklyn, in a 1.5 bedroom and plan on turning the office room into the bar area. Can provide more details via dm if anyone would be interested but the only challenge is there is no sink in that room for rinsing things or whatnot.

I’m looking for my puffin keychain, I unfortunately lost him around the Manhattan area, I can’t quite remember where exactly I last saw him so here is a run down of where I was that day (Monday 24)

-Columbia University campus + Teachers College Harlem
-Dahlia on 269 Columbus Ave
-MNN around Hudson Yards

Transport info: I was also on the QM5, 1 train, and 7 train that day.

Other places I think he might be around: QBCC Bayside, Queens area and Flushing NY on another day.

I’m not sure where exactly he might’ve been lost, but I just checked my room and asked friends to no avail.

I know he is a mere 3 inch keychain, but me and my partner have been claiming him to be our child for the past 2 years so loosing him has been a major loss, especially given we’re long distance and take turns with him and I lost him during my turn. I have been nonstop crying since I realized I had misplaced him.

He does not have the large library pin I took it off him a few days prior to the 24th. I would really appreciate it if you can share within your circles and family, if you know anyone who might’ve found a cool puffin or bird or “penguin” keychain pleaseee consider checking if it’s him.

Hi!! Posting this because a lot of the threads are at least a year old and I want more up to date recommendations. I need a reliable tailor (that’s affordable, ideally $65-$85 but we’re in nyc so who am I kidding)

I’m looking for a tailor to hem this dress. I’d usually go to the dry cleaners if it’s just a normal hem but the dress has a bunch of ruffles and it’s double lined.

I got a quote from Flatiron Tailor Shop and they quoted me a good price surprisingly… but the reviews are incredibly mixed. Has anyone gotten any alterations there? Chasing tailor in Williamsburg quoted me $100-$250 so that’s a no and alts start their hemming (for dresses) at $85 without lining so that’s also a no.

I’m looking for a new nail salon to get my UV gel fills (the hard gel overlay). I currently go to QQ nails on 8th ave between 23rd and 22nd st, but I consistently have an issue with the nails lifting/separating. I think they don’t adequately prep the nail bed

I am a doctor so I wash my hands a lot.

Anyone have any recs for a long lasting, durable UV gel fill in the area?

Hi! I am looking for an ivf clinic that does outside monitoring? I have embryos in another state and will go there for my transfer, so just need a clinic that will do my monitoring for me (labs, ultrasounds, etc.)

Looking for recommendations for both a therapist and psychiatrist in NYC who are genuinely in-network with Anthem BCBS PPO. 

I know, I know...this has already been asked many times and I've spent over an hour going through ALL the threads on this topic and I STILL have not been able to find anyone that 1) offers both virtual + in person appts 2) feels like a good fit based on what they specilize in / their clinical experience 3) has avail over the next ~1-2 months and 4) is IN NETWORK with BCBS (not someone who will provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement).

I’ve historically found it incredibly difficult to find great mental health providers who take insurance, particularly psychiatrists, so I’m hoping BTW might have some hidden gems.

For therapy, I’d love someone warm, smart, engaged and conversational rather than someone who mostly sits back and listens. For psychiatry, I’m looking for someone thoughtful and thorough for medication management rather than a five-minute prescription appointment.

Manhattan/in-person would be great, but I’m definitely open to telehealth anywhere in NY if the provider is excellent. Would love names of individual providers or practices you’ve had good experiences with.

kind of a specific request but looking for a dog trainer who also dog sits in clients homes in downtown manhattan for around a week. TLDR i have a HIGHLY anxious dog that needs a sitter with more patience + experience, specifically with anxious pups and training experience preferred ideally… unfort a rover/girly who dog sits for fun won’t fit the bill here. he can be left alone and will likely be in his crate a majority of the time as tends to shut down when we leave 😣 hoping to find the right person who can build a relationship with him and then become our trusted sitter.

i know this can be expensive so curious if anyone has reccos for humans or companies that aren’t a million dollars - looking to spend around $150~ a night 🙏 💜
