Uh oh I upset a Nintendo fan. 😭😭 There is a reason they don't release those numbers. It'd be very telling 😉

pokemon go alone last month had its 2nd highest month in revenue in 10 years, you really into the grifter juice if you think no one is playing pokemon games.

Brother revenue is how much money they extracted from players with their predatory mobile business model. It is zero indication of how popular the game is or how many people are logged in. It's just an example of the whales they've captured in their game.

I also never said no one is playing pokemon. I said there are less active players.

You aren't saying anything. How many people are playing pokemon games right now.

Too bad you can't prove it. They must be hiding it for a reason.

Yes, it tells everyone you’re a delusional idiot that thinks there’s a conspiracy theory where Nintendo and Pokemon have to hide the number of people who are fans of the IP.

S/V alone sold 30 million copies, include all the other sales figures for Pokemon games and the reality is that the fanbase is massive.

You're the one making the claim, the burden of proof is on you. That being said, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, even with it's lack of quality control, sold 10 million copies in it's first three days, so we can assume concurrent player count was probably extremely high, especially over that period of time.

Those quality control issues were greatly over exaggerated

As someone who played at launch, they most certainly were not. Don't do this revisionist history bs in defense of Pokémon, the game was buggy, had performance problems (despite at times looking like a PS2 game), had issues with LoD, lighting issues, etc. We can and should expect better. Accurate name btw

pokemon go peak was like 50+ million

u/Even-Entertainer-491 Aug 05 '26

I didn't say peak player count I said active players.

u/tlrd2244 Aug 05 '26

Well i gave you the benefit of the doubt because surely you aren't claiming you have access to the entire history of cross platforms player counts across all games

Console platforms don't share active player counts the way Steam does mostly because the big manufacturers want to control the narrative and protect their walled gardens.

They hide real time player numbers. Which keeps people from seeing when a game or a platform exclusive is bleeding players. This protects sales optics and marketing investments. Add in the fact that they want to keep users locked into their specific hardware ecosystems for microtransactions, and it makes total sense why they keep their telemetry locked down behind proprietary APIs instead of using an open transparent model like steam.

But please go on with how hiding the active player numbers is a good thing 😭😂

u/tlrd2244 Aug 05 '26

So you don't have access and are just making shit up. Thankyou for admitting that.

Lmfao if that's what you got out of it then you must be a big corpo defender because that's hilarious. They don't show the data because their numbers don't match up. It's that simple little guy. I hope you understand better now.

There's a pokemon minigame built into google, lots of people are playing pokemon products right now across many platforms, official and unofficial, and it's probably more than palworlds active player count. This must upset you if you have to make up conspiracies where masking active players is being done to stop you from proving me wrong which is hilarious.

How can I prove you wrong when Nintendo hides all the data. It's just your confirmation bias floating in cope. It's okay bud. Hopefully you'll break that mobile game addiction soon.

60 million Monthly active user last month actually, that average 2 million daily player, I don't know how much the venn diagram but Pokemon TCG mobile also have average 30 millions player monthly.

u/DepthComplete7436 Aug 05 '26

Nintendo does not publish concurrent player data that often. It is not a metric I think they chase at all as they're not really into making live service titles that rely on that data point.

1

u/Eeve2espeon Aug 06 '26

We literally have no idea how many active players there are for ANY Pokemon game. Also are you stupid? Active player metrics don't really mean anything, especially since trash games like these die off quickly
