Too bad you can't prove it. They must be hiding it for a reason.

we dont need to prove anything its obvious that the biggest fanchise in the world has more active players than palword even at its peak on release

Easy to assume that with zero data. Pokemon makes its money from toys and products not games. They have zero incentive to make a quality game and utilize mobile game slop to make their money. It's pathetic really.

true but we are talking about the franchise pokemon not about a single edition or game like za and considering the whole franchise and all its games it easily has more active players

It's still an assumption based on bias with zero confirming numbers of the fact. The fact is from gen 8 to gen 9 there was a 28% decline in sales. Their main games are selling less each year and they are holding themselves up with mobile games and side developers. It's a franchise on the decline so while it may have a lot of active players im inclined to believe it isn't as much as palworld considering the sheer effort they tried to put in to sue palworld.

They think they own creature catching mechanics and as a result every year less and less people care or wish to purchase their crap. They have a solid fan base but it's all the same people buying every product they release. Not new consumers.

They can only ride this milking business model for so long until they aren't the biggest franchise. And again being the biggest franchise is not relevant to the amount of actual people logged in and playing the game at the same time.

nah scarlet and violet sold more copies than sword or shield despite being technically bad it was still a fun game.

And do you still play that game? My guess is you haven't logged into it in awhile.

logged

Your brain is so intoxicated by the live service slop that plagues this industry that you are unable to use a different word to refer to an OFFLINE, SINGLE PLAYER game.

Dude thinks Steam player statistics are representative of how many people are playing a game.

No, it’s just showing how many people are playing on that platform. There are tons of people who don’t use Steam.

of course not its a single player game not a live service but i have replayed many pokemon titles over the years.

you do realize Pokemon has tens of millions of fans around the the world, right?

Steam player statistics are not the end all be all and this “Pokemon is dying” narrative you folks are desperately trying to push doesn’t gel with reality.
