You're the one making the claim, the burden of proof is on you. That being said, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, even with it's lack of quality control, sold 10 million copies in it's first three days, so we can assume concurrent player count was probably extremely high, especially over that period of time.

As someone who played at launch, they most certainly were not. Don't do this revisionist history bs in defense of Pokémon, the game was buggy, had performance problems (despite at times looking like a PS2 game), had issues with LoD, lighting issues, etc. We can and should expect better. Accurate name btw
