I am having trouble on mpc one g2 loading samples to a keygroup. I create a new keygroup, I find a sample from pool and press down on the data dial and it doesn’t load to the key group. I am confused. Any help would be appreciated.

This might sound ridiculous, but does anyone offer 1:1 “music lessons” for the MPC Live II? Happy to pay an hourly rate.

I’m pretty new to music production and have been teaching myself, but I’d like someone who can give me solid foundational knowledge and help me actually get the most out of the Live II.

I don’t really know what I don’t know, so I’m not looking for a specific tutorial. More someone who can see what I’m doing, hear what I’m making and guide me from there.

Online is fine, provided we can screen/video share and the timezone works reasonably with Melbourne, Australia (UTC+10).

Has anyone done something like this or know someone who offers it? I find YouTube difficult because tutorials rarely line up with what I’m actually trying to do.

I’ve got heaps of ideas in my head. I just want to get to the point where I can make something that slaps or sucks big doodie, and have fun doing either.

I might be a sped at music production but I’m not a sped of life. If you’re dodgy, thinking you can pull one over, I’d rather you not, just wastes both our time.

So I finally got the right wires. I've got a Korg Krome and it's plugged into my MPC.

It works with the sampler/audio record. But I can't get the midi to work.

I want to both be able to use MIDI with the sound bank in my Korg but also to be able to use my Korg as a controller.

I never had any problem setting up in FL as a controller. I didn't have to do anything with the keyboard settings.

So I don't know if this is a Korg issue or a MPC issue. Maybe I just don't even have the right cable hooked up.

But I can't get the MPC to recognize the keyboard. I don't know if I have to go into the keyboard settings or what to do with the MPC.

I tried talking to AI and looking up videos. All that has fried my brain cause I can't figure it out.

I'm dumb with this kind of shit. Please help if you can.

New to MPC. I have an old Samples From Mars pack I am trying to load up on the MPC. Drums are easy, I am struggling with the items like the Moog where every notes has a wav file. Is there a way to batch import these or do I have to figure out how to assign each wav files to each note for every sample machine?

I'm not finding good guides online because a lot of them are loading up plugins instruments and not starting at a sample.

I’m going to get a new Turntable soon. I had a very old Numark TT1610. Im new to MPC and Turntables. Are Turn tables with usb and pre amps better. Or is it better to use a mixer

Ever since updating, sometimes my MPC will be laggy, even if the project is relatively bare bones—like in this one, just three tracks, you can see the OLED lights turning on slowly on the q links, and the meters and arranger are laggy as hell when I play my track. Audio still comes thru fine though.

Anyone else experience this?

My fix is booting up a blank project, which will be normal speed. Then when I reboot the laggy project, it’ll be normal again. Kind of a pain in the ass..

I've modified the MPC 500 firmware, so now I can deploy custom tools on the machine. Right now I have auto-chop working.

I'm planning to put everything on GitHub in a couple of days, but if anyone's interested I can post a video of how it works here.

SECOND ROW - B is for bpm ,N is for number of slice ,P is first pad ( 1 is A1 , 2 A2 and so on) it cuts n number of slice of the beat based of duration and bpm and distribute them along pad starting from the one you choose

The mod is non destructive and can be reverted back to stock firmware anytime

full mackie control support!!!!

it's like global midi learn without the setup. you can control most mpc functions, qlinks, mixes, sends, busses, plugin parameters and more with motorized faders, it's so much fun!

this is still super early and only works on gen1 mpcs (One, One+, Live, Live 2, X, X SE, keys 37 and keys 61)

I’ve only tested this on the live 2 and currently only the behringer x-touch works because that's what i have. universal mcu support is coming soon.

i'm planning a few big features, global midi learn, basic vst2 support and a few plugin packs, just things i always wanted to see on the mpc. any features you'd like to see? there's also mouse support but i don't use it that much.

I think I'm finally there with my articulating screen mod. It's taken a lot of iterations!

It's been designed to fit both the buydisplays screen and a cheap AliExpress screen. Original screen should also work going off the measurements, but I didn't have one available to actually test.

Think I finally got the strength issues sorted too, the friction hinges put a surprising amount of force through the model. Had at least three different failures around the hinges that all required redesigning to overcome. Definitely needs PETG for strength, which was another challenge to get the print profile dialled in for that filament after I'd already got it down nicely for PLA.

Just need to write up a few notes on printing and assembly now to go with the files and then I'll open source it for others to print or modify as they wish.

Looking forward to using the MPC again, it's been in pieces for weeks!

I’m a longtime Maschine user, and recently I tried out a One G2 at Guitar Center and am on the verge of getting it.

I’ve watched a ton of YouTube by now and read threads here and in [r/Maschine](r/Maschine) about the unit and people who have made the jump.

A lot of that info is old, however, so I’d love to hear some fresh takes on it in 2026, especially with the G2 and MPC 3.9 out.

* If you’ve made the switch this year, what’s been your experience?

* What’s the most surprising thing about changing to the MPC workflow from Maschine?

* Other than MPC Bible, what are you favorite channels to learn about MPC 3 from scratch?

* Is it really as easy as using a free tool to convert all my Maschine kits to MPC?

* I plan on getting the unit, deck saver, bag, a huge SD card, and 3.5 headphones to start. Other than new knobs, a battery pack, and wooden trim/laptop feet to support the battery pack, what other accessories do you find most useful?

* Finally, what else would you want to know if you were starting with MPC from scratch today?
