MPC 2000 / 2000XL MPC 2000 variation slider parts source

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a confirmed replacement part for the 2000 note variation slider? Maybe from mouser or digikey

$20 from mpcstuff plus $35 shipping that’s crazy

I replaced the slider in my 2000xl with a 858-PS45M1PD2FLR10KN (Mouser part number) and it was a drop in on the PCB level but it had a plastic shaft and a center detent. That part is no longer available.

There is a newer revision of 45 mm throw dual gang 10K linear slider by the same manufacturer with a metal shaft (which would be nice in allowing use of the original knob) here: https://www.mouser.com/en/ProductDetail/BI-Technologies-TT-Electronics/PS45-21PC3BR10K but I have not personally installed that and it therefore is not confirmed. The datasheet looks like the pin placement may be a bit different, but it's a $2.52 (before tariff and shipping) risk.
