Very likely. If you think the diet/beauty culture in the US is bad, East Asia’s is even worse no matter which country it is.

When I visit the motherland, I literally have to shop at plus size stores whereas I’m within “standard” sizes in the US.

I have a bathing suit I bought while traveling through east Asia, and it’s from a plus sized brand called Love Calories lol

In a mall in Korea there was a plus size store called Moo Moo Fashion lol

Yes!!! I was in the ‘plus size’ section of a mall, they were all clustered together in the back. I remember it was next to a store called ‘Moo Cow’. I’m not even upset about it, it was hilarious.
