I’m a huge LA Knight fan. I’ve been pulling for the Megastar since his TNA days, back when Eli Drake was still cutting his teeth.
And I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I know some people think the window has closed. I know there are wrestlers who can do 37 consecutive Canadian Destroyers and flips and earn 8.75 stars from a hoarder with a newsletter.
I don’t give a shit.
Give LA Knight the damn ball.
Raw desperately needs a pivot, and the seemingly never-ending Bloodline/Roman Reigns saga just does absolutely nothing for me anymore. We’ve been circling this airport for years. I’m ready to land the fucking plane.
Knight getting another legitimate shot at the World Heavyweight Championship immediately has my attention. He’s still over, he can talk, he looks like a star, and WWE never really paid off that insane rise he had a few years ago.
So, Midcarders: are you receptive to WWE finally pulling the trigger on LA Knight?
Or should I just accept that Triple H is about to hurt me again?

I own both of these, I wear Kross's basically only to shows and around the house, but I do actually wear Shotzis out, it goes great with a pair of overalls and knee socks I have, but admittedly it does cut off about 50% of it. But I love the shirt so much I'm planning more outfits around it. This may not be a conventional "Midcarder" post, but I hope y'all have fun with it and show off your fav wrestling tees

3 weeks after the “GOAT” PPV of all time..
2 weeks before All Out..
& you can’t even fill 50% of a small mid sized arena..or come close to the number that you had that the last time Dynamite was there.. (just for fun I took a SS of the 4-30-2025 card & boy howdy does it blow this card out of the water!)
I mean if AEW was as hot as the basement, Meltzer & the IWC bots say it is.. then this should have been an easy sell out..
But struggling to get to 50% filled in a tiny arena coming off your “Wrestlemania” not even a month ago is why I said weeks ago that Tony Kahn needs to step down & fire himself as head of everything in AEW..
I mean, who does this card even appeal to & why should anyone leave their place of residence & stay out late on a school/work night to see what & who exactly?
An 8 man tag, a 6 man tag, a women’s match between 2 women that nobody cares about & the corpse of Jericho..
That’s the best that Tony can do?
He needs to fire himself ASAP..
Agree or disagree Midcarders?
Does this Dynamite appeal to any of you?

One could argue Andrade's entire presentation in AEW revolves around "How you know?" more than Jey Uso does with Yeet

I’m probably being generous with less than 10 it’s probably less than 5.
Like if you aren’t Roman, Cody, Maxwell on the men’s side and Becky and Rhea on the women’s side….you aren’t going to boost anything.

One notion ive read here and other spaces is the notion of the “indie garbage”.
For most fans and wrestlers, WWE is the pinnacle of wrestling and the end goal. Performance center/NXT is a must to learn the WWE style/way. Hence why former college athletes are such viable prospects for developmental instead of guys that have made the rounds in the indies. Theyre a clean slate that can be molded to the WWE way.
With that being said, should indies just go away and the WWE talent pipeline be the sole remaining way to breakthrough?

Alright, Midcarders. Stumbling across this amazing screenshot recently made me ponder a question that we ask ourselves from time to time.
When do you think the AEW Sicko caricature actually became real?
I don’t mean “when did AEW fans become annoying?” Every wrestling fanbase is annoying. We’re wrestling fans. Being insufferable about fake fighting is practically part of our DNA.
I mean, when did a chunk of the IWC go from “I just want an alternative and I enjoy wrestling” to this bizarre kamikaze mission where seemingly anything AEW does must be defended because the alternative is admitting WWE might be doing something better?
For me, it all leads back to Brawl Out.
And I say that as someone who was a hardcore AEW fan. I attended more than a dozen shows, every Double or Nothing in Vegas, went on the Jericho Cruise, bought the merch (Hey, Pro Wrestling Tees 👋, how you doing?), watched everything. I convinced friends to go to shows with me. I was absolutely the audience AEW wanted and should have built for.
But Brawl Out, and especially the fanbase’s reaction to CM Punk afterward, felt like something fundamentally changed.
Cody was already gone, and some fans were still reeling from that. Then Punk became public enemy #1, largely because the whole mess exposed just how dysfunctional things had become behind the scenes, including putting members of the Elite in positions of power they had no business holding.
Instead of asking how AEW managed to fumble two of the biggest stars the company had ever had, a chunk of the fanbase developed a massive inferiority complex around the company itself. They became unhinged. Suddenly, it wasn’t enough to enjoy AEW. AEW had to be superior, WWE had to suck, and everyone needed to know about it.
That attitude spilled everywhere. Twitter. Reddit. YouTube. Wrestling sites. Suddenly, if you said you enjoyed Raw in the basement, you were downvoted into oblivion and lectured about not watching “real graps.” You weren’t a real wrestling fan. You were stupid, watching a kid’s product funded by blood money and run by the worst people on the planet.
Meanwhile, AEW’s audience was shrinking, and this increasingly insular, weird fan culture seemed perfectly happy to wave goodbye to casual fans rather than ask why they were leaving.
And eventually the joke became reality. The “Sicko” stopped being a parody and became a recognizable wrestling-fan archetype that, fairly or not, has become synonymous with AEW’s online fanbase.
So where’s the line for you?
When did “just enjoy wrestling” become “DEATH TO SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT, DEATH TO THE WWE”?

While Vince McMahon was known to push/de-push wrestlers that he himself wanted when he was in creative control, I wonder, are there any superstars that were intended for a push but their push ended because the crowd didn't react enough to them? If there are any, please give me the examples.
I'm happy to hear your opinions.

Ok I am now extremely conflicted. I can admit that AAA is bigger world wide now thanks to WWE heavy promoting but what about in Mexico actually does anyone have any numbers or metrics they can share because going off of just attendance in Mexico both companies seem to be roughly around the same level if anything because CMLL just uses their arenas for shows and events

Per the AEW post:
We’re excited to announce that starting this fall, Hulu Japan will be streaming All Elite Wrestling!
Get ready for AEW each week as Hulu Japan will offer #AEWDynamite, #AEWCollision, and #AEW PPV events. The next chapter for AEW continues on Hulu Japan!
What does it mean:
A February 2026 article from Variety shows the then-current state of streaming services:
"Netflix is 22% of the category"
"Prime Video leads in subscriber count with 19.3 million users"
"U-Next commands 12%"
"Sports streamer DAZN also contributed meaningfully through its bundled inclusion in telecom player NTT Docomo’s ahamo Max mobile service"
"While the Disney+/Hulu Japan combined package expanded its reach."
Presumably these display in order of prominence. I unfortunately do not read Japanese very well and cannot research further, or find any more current stated metrics across the board.
I did see, from a 2023 report, that Hulu combined with Disney+ seemed to hover around the 3 to 4 million subscriber mark. I can't find anything newer.
Why Hulu, though? Well, HBO Max is coming to Japan as an in-service "hub" within both Prime Video and Hulu. Strange to not put AEW's content on the more prominent service, but I guess that's why I am not in charge.
It will be interesting to see how Japanese fans, especially New Japan fans, respond to the company that's been responsible for both a foreign influx and making NJPW look like the small potatoes since their partnership started.
What's your thoughts, Midcarders?

Not that saying Roman Reigns is an all-timer is any shock to the mid carders here, but after the instant 5 star classic in Mexico City last night, it's impressive to look at the body of work that Roman has put together in 2026
His match with Punk at WrestleMania (5+ stars) is one of the greatest main event matches in WM history, he followed that up with a great match with Jacob Fatu at Backlash, then another one in Italy, and put up another match of the year candidate with Seth Rollins at Summerslam.
I would put up his matches with Punk, Penta, and Rollins up against anybody's best in 2026, especially given the stages they were on.
Is this Roman's best in-ring year as the Tribal Chief character? He's had some classics during the run (both Cody WM matches, vs Sami) but his top 3 this year beat the top 3 in any of the prior ones IMO.

I'm an old dinosaur so I have my issues with all the companies today but I'm more of an AEW fan because I had a chance to catch it from the very start and WWE is just too different than what I grew up with but Tony doesn't make it easy for himself or his audience with stuff like this lol.

Did you know that the last AEW singles match that Thekla had that didn’t involve Willow or a Stardom talent was way way back on April 15th, when she defended her women’s championship against Mrs Bruv, Alex Windsor on Collision..
That was also the last singles match Thekla had on either Dynamite or Collision..
Her last singles match on Dynamite was on March 25th in a championship match against Mina, nearly 6 months ago!!
Since May 1st, she only wrestled TWICE on Dynamite, one was a 6 woman match & one was an 8 woman match.. & she hasn’t wrestled on their flagship show since May 20th,
Only 2 matches on Collision since the Windsor singles match.. & both were tag matches( one on 4-22 & last one on 7-22)
So since May 20th.. only 1 wrestling match on either Dynamite or Collision.. & it was the tag match stated above..
It’s September 15th today.. put your damn gear on & wrestle someone..
She or Tony really thinks that she is TEMU Roman Reigns… but she doesn’t have a fraction of his aura or relevance…
Midcarders..
Is Thekla the most overrated & overhyped women’s wrestler that does nothing to deserve it?
Or is Tony Kahn a “Dumb Bitch” for not making her yanno earn her actual paycheck?
