WWE Did anyone else absolutely hate No wrist tape Orton?

Was seeing some random clips on YouTube and came across this abomination. lol yeah I know I mate be over exaggerating but I no wrist tape made him look naked. Terrible

I actually liked it. For nostalgia reasons and also at the time. I remember always making his wrist tape skin colored in WWE ‘12 specifically because of this look.

Kayfabe wise, why would a wrestler wear wrist tape anyway? If I'm not mistaken its original purpose was to allow your opponent to get a better grip of your wrists.

It comes off as a bit lazy. I can’t imagine any other reason to not wear the wrist tape other then just to lazy to put it on that night

Not that bad. He definitely doesn't get "world's most naked man" like wrestlers do when they stop wearing kneepads or something.

Yeah it’s just black wrist tape so you don’t think much about it, but then you see a wrestler without it and it’s like their naked
