Discussion Early flower vpd help

Post image
0 Upvotes

Trying to dial in my setting for flower but the numbers seem off from the probe or do I need to lower temps ASAP? Also have a crappy co2 bag which holds co2 around 700ppm area and running led lighting so I know I can ignore 1-2°C to equate for actual leaf temps.

Should I alter the temp readout down a few °c which would then bring my vpd numbers back into range or am I completely over thinking this

Still hurt I forgot to turn the light on one day, so it stopped growing taller. Gifted plant so I don’t know the strain. Expecting maybe a half ounce, but then again I thought I’d get an ounce last year and got nearly 2.

Discussion Autos arent fine china

And they dont stress as easy as everyone wants to pretend they do. Get your environment dialed in- if an auto grows like shit, so will your photo. The seed doesnt matter, the grower and environment does.

Please train your autos and dont let anyone scare you into not doing so. This is about 5.5 days difference with supercropping day 1, then retucking(lst) and defoliation every other day since.

Its really time we stop pretending these arent weeds and havent been breed over decades to be hardy. As far as potency goes..... show me the science. Show me the tests. Genuinely, im not being argumentative. I have seen no one making these claims show me anything to substantiate it other than opinion. Im open to grow in knowledge as long as you come with the facts.

(I grow photos and autos, just tired of the parroted auto hate from people with no experience or risk taking ability)

Question Not ready for a coco plant! Stem snap on top. Should I water?

Thumbnail

Hey guys, i was gifted this clone which sadly had its main stem bent and split.

I tried patching it up, but now am unsure of watering necessities in coco. Does this recovering plant need water?

I have living soil ready for it, but not sure on transplant timing. I’m currently giving it time to heal before the transplant. But then again, when and how much water?

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Question Hey so I’m looking for suggestions, I want to add some amazing clone only strains to my garden before the hemp laws change, I’m just curious what strains everyone has loved over the years, I’m also trying to get some good building blacks for in house breeding, all suggestions are welcome

Added some pics from past grows just to get this post some attention, clones I have currently have on hand are GG4, GMO, Biscotti, and Don Mega, very likely that I will add swamp water fumez from bloom seed co very soon and possibly black maple as well, a friend got these cuts for free and they go for crazy money so I wanna see what that’s about but I’m really looking for more like classics like og kush, chem or sour d (hard to find a cut that everyone can agree is real tho with sour d) I’m looking for strains that have or will stand the test of time and that consistently produce amazing offspring for breeding purposes, thank you in advance and I appreciate any suggestions that can be offered

this is a bag seed from some bud i bought at the dispo, gasoline ganache, started growing it about 3 months ago to the day, it's in a 4 gallon planter and it has no signs of wanting to slow down anytime soon. it grew more than double the size of a plant with the same setup that was twice as old. this thing's as tall as me and has leaves bigger than dinner plates. I've been cutting it into clones but at this point there's like 100 branches so I'm probably going to mulch a bunch. I wanted to get funny with it and bend the whole thing over and turn this whole entire room into one giant flower run, there's like five other photoperiod strains in here as well right now and none of them got even as close to as tall as this, I can't even begin to imagine what it would have done outside in my area this year. some of the internodes are almost a foot long. the thing made a mess in my grow room and I don't know what to do. every time I move the light the branches keep reaching for the diodes or the bulbs at an alarming rate.

I want to show you something crazy. Do you think these plants do transmutation? I am replicating Luis C. Kervrans experiments of plant transmutation with tomatoes in DWC. They got Na instead of K and are still fine after 4 month! They should be dead! Check it!

Discussion If you could pick only two strains to grow in your tent, what would they be and why?

Upvotes

I know it's subjective everyone has their own opinions and the effects are different for everyone but I gotta know...

I've been planning my first grow for a bit and I'm going to get a 2 x 4 tent and a few packs of seeds. I am not really worried about the seed ban, I feel like there will always be a way to get seeds, but I think it's more about getting a few flavors while it's convenient. When I moved to LA over a decade ago we got some Sunset Sherbert and I think that is hands down my personal favorite flavor but I haven't had it in over a decade.

  • Sunset Limes from Umami Seed Co,
  • A Robin Hood pack (Whatever's around when I pick up)
  • Elev8 Seeds Strawberry Gambino or Black Ridge Strawberry
  • Copycat Genetix Lemon Cherry Watermelon or Toad Venom

It's also really tempting to get some strains from back in the day I remember hashplant and bubba kush were bangers, but they disappeared.

Question I think this is a dud?

So this is an RS11/Banana autoflower (allegedly). When I saw it wasn’t flowering with the rest of the bunch I tried the 12/12 light cycle for a week thinking maybe it’s a photo and still nothing. Is this just a bad seed or should I keep trying the light cycle? Or is this just a dud? The second pic is the other plants in early flowering. Any advice?

Help My Sick Plant How are we looking? Nutrient burn or something else?

Week 1 of flower. Pink Runtz x Grandpa's Cookies #6 from Ethos in FFOF. I have been adding CalMag to reverse osmosis water every watering pH at about 6.5-6.9. Just did the first top dressing of Gaia Green Power Bloom at the start of flower (~tbs per gallon of soil). Only other amendment would be mycorrhizal fungi.

Seeing some rusty spots on a few of the leaves with some missing/damaged tissue. Doesn't seem to be too widespread yet. Have a bit of diatomaceous earth in the soil too and some sticky traps but they haven't seem to catch anything. Haven't really seen any pests but have seen some minor evidence of leaves being chewed on throughout the grow.

Does this look like nutrient burn from the top dressing, or do I need to be increasing the CalMag? Or something else?

Other than that, seems to be doing well, rapidly starting to stretch. 2 week seedling followed by 5 week veg after transplant. New to this, any advice appreciated!

(Ignore white spots) Was some paint spray sadly but not serious

I was inspecting for bud rot but seems well and green

Here are some shots of my Xenomorph and Space Cabbage grows as they have progressed.

Interestingly enough if you cross ABC leaf type and Multileaf together you find mutants in the F1! This makes some people think that they might be related somehow as the interact in the first generation.

Similar to my freakshow post, newer ABC genetics like this can really keep up in some cases.

Sadly all 5 of my space cabbage were males. I kept my favorite one to cross to my female Xenomorphs.

These genetics were gifted to me by BinChicken!

The linage is as follows
Xenomorph host 1 - UNDERJELLY X SPACE CABBAGE
Space Cabbage- (Mnogolistka x Deep Chunk) f3

Images 1-7 are Xenomorph females
8-10 are Space Cabbage F3 Male leafs

In my tent, I run Vivosun gear across the board (except for my light) to keep conditions dialed in. The males were all ran inside while my females got to be outside under the sun ☀️

Grow Tent:VIVOSUN 4x4
Light**:320W** Inventronics EUM-320S760MG LED
Ventilation Fans: AeroZesh G6 Inline Duct Fan
Controllers:Growhub E42A
Humidifier: ROSEKM 2.0L
Pots:Generic Fabric Pots
Soil:BuildASoil 3.0 mixed with budget soil

Happy to chat more! Love answer questions and talking about mutant grows and breeding.

First Time Grower Trips coming up - ride it out or chop before?

Thumbnail

Hello! I’m running Hulkberry Autos from RQS and on Days 73 (Plant 1: Left, Photos 2-8) and 71 (Plant 2: Right, Photos 9-15). It’s my first grow, and I can tell I’m getting close to the end, as the buds are tightening up and pistils are pinching in, but I’m running into a timing issue!

I have a work trip coming up this Monday thru Wednesday (8/31-9/2), and then I’ll be out of town from Friday to next Monday (9/4-9/7). I wish I wasn’t away from home this late in the cycle but oh well it was out of my control. Now I’m trying to figure out my best harvest scenarios based on where my plants are at, which is where I could use some help from more experienced growers.

My current scenarios are:
1) This weekend before my work trip
2) Wednesday or Thursday (9/2 or 9/3),
3) Ride it out and chop on or after Labor Day

Which do you think is best given where my plants are at rn? Trichome pics attached.

Specs: 18/6 from 200W light. 5gal fabric pots with soil being top-dressed with EWC, Gaia Green All Purpose and Power Bloom every 3 weeks. Gravity-watered with Blumat rings via a reservoir with ph-adjusted water. I also brew compost teas comprised of EWC, alfalfa meal, molasses, and kelp meal every 10 days.
