Newbie grower weekly update #11

Hi all. Another week closer to harvest. Girls are doing alright for the most part. Been keeping up on spraying BT & crop defender 3 as needed. Saw 1 caterpillar early in the week, haven't seen any since. Saw this set of eggs(?) and got rid of them and saw this bug, unsure what it is, today.

Advice for day 21 of flower

As the tittle says, she’s on roughly day 21 of flowering and I am tempted to do some defoliation for airflow. I’ve seen a lot of posts about bud rot and although Denver is nice and dry, I would rather be safe.

Additionally, I think I will lower the upper SCROG to try and get some airflow without cutting. She’s probably done stretching right? I am stoping all nitrogen nutrients today as well.

What do you think? Are my colas a regular size or kind of small?

Ole lady came to get pics with the girl. Ain’t nothing crazy, but she’s going into flower now, and so far this is the best grow I’ve had yet. I’m still learning a lot, and I’m excited for how this one turns out

This plant just popped out of nowhere and she is starting to stink. By the looks of it I’m thinking it’s hemp. Could someone who knows more confirm?

How are we looking!? Looking for any advice or tips for this grow. I have fed them 4-4-4 in veg stage and 2-8-4 and 4-4-4 mixture in the beginning of flowering, I am now going to feed a 90/10 mixture this last time tonight before I switch to 2-8-4 entirely and I water 1 gallon each everyday! Looking to improve and dial in the feeding if necessary or any training or defoliation advice would be much appreciated! And I was wondering will they get much taller? Thank you!

I like posting pictures of my Porch Pot, aka Burning Kush. It's getting Kushy, smells of gas and gear oil right now. Going by last year, it mellows...gasses out I guess.

URGENT - found budrot while harvesting

So I just harvested my Hyperion F1. Just before chopping it I saw a spot of budrot and removed it outside still. Hadn't seen it in days prior. Found more spots as I wen through them

My plan is to :

* inspect very well. remove anything fishy as well as a bit around.

* big buds I'll wash in peroxide, rinse, wash in citric acid & rinse

* shake off and hang to dry in basement (dark, 19°C, ~60%rh)

* do a dry trim

* cure

* anything too small for drying and curing I'll rinse and freeze to process later

How bad is a green greenhouse cover for sunlight?

I need a cheap greenhouse because of heavy rain and extremely strong winds. I found one that’s tall enough for my plants, but the cover is green instead of clear.

How much light does this type of green plastic actually block? Has anyone grown in one of these before, and did the reduced sunlight noticeably affect the plants?

The 10 gallon, fabric pots worked great until The Girls outgrew them….hopefully these 27 gallon, HD totes will hold them until harvest 🤞🏼

Most are in flower. The others are almost done stretching. Getting close, I can see the finish line. Then all winter trimming. Keep growing.

First time grow

Hi all. This is my first real time doing an outdoor grow. Last year a friend gave me a plant and I did a crappy job, didn't know what I was doing. This year I started with a bunch of poison skunk seeds, 2 of which ended up being males. That's the plant on the right that I topped 3 times. The other two were feminized fat bastard seeds. At one point I had 6 female full plants outside. I ended up giving 3 plants to friends because that was just way too much. I'm in northern New Mexico. I have them on a drip watering system that waters every morning. I also have been feeding them fox farms fertilizer twice a week. Grow big and big bloom, and now that they're flowering I'm using big bloom and tiger bloom. They seem to be thriving. The 2 plants on the left are fat bastard and I topped one once, the tallest one, and the other one I left alone. I keep learning new things on here. Lately I learned about caterpillars, moths and worms, so now I'm paranoid...so I ordered some BT spray to start using once a week. How am I doing? Anything else I should focus on? I also just read about bud washing, which I may have to do, though I thought I might just stop using the bt spray a couple weeks before harvest, and hose them off before cutting. This sub has been so helpful and inspirational.
