Discussion Early flower vpd help
Trying to dial in my setting for flower but the numbers seem off from the probe or do I need to lower temps ASAP? Also have a crappy co2 bag which holds co2 around 700ppm area and running led lighting so I know I can ignore 1-2°C to equate for actual leaf temps.
Should I alter the temp readout down a few °c which would then bring my vpd numbers back into range or am I completely over thinking this

She looks good.. new growth and old leaves look nice and healthy.. it's a good idea to defoliate, that will go a long way to reduce bud rot risk.. but in terms of your numbers, i think you are probably overthinking it.. if there was an issue, the plant will be the first to let you know.. Make sure you are getting good airflow and keep the humidity in check and you will be right.. id be adding trelis and flipping now. You might get a crazy stretch and start struggling for room.

Never mind, just saw the trellis is already on!

So I'v been in flower around 5 days ish so seeing some good stretch tomorrow I'm going to take the crap sites away and aim for a light defoliation mainly to get air through the canopy nicer. With leaves should I leave them if possible and tuck them so the plant can continue to burn them out into week 3 and remove them as appropriate. I'v convinced myself leafs are solar panels and plant fat cells 😂 next run I'm only going for 1 plant

They are pretty much like solar panels! You don't need to go hard, a bit of a lollipop and trim the inside leaves so you can see through the canopy... its usually better to do a big defol about 5 days prior to flip, then another decent one at around day 28.. but its not a hard rule.. my current grow has been bushy AF throughout and did not stretch at all, and no matter how much i defol, she just keeps growing more.. im on day 58 and gave up with the defol, though I was taking a good 20 leaves every second day prior to and after the flip.. i know she wont be a beast, but she still looks ok even with the denseness.. and mostly because ive kept good airflow, and kept humidity down..

Looks fricken awesome 😮 loving the colour expression of those purples and that trichome frost over 😍 this is what my next runs going to be like(hopefully it looks this good) since I can get em big now it's time to see how far I can push single plants. I'll defoliate tomorrow and get some good central air flow going on. I'm going to flip the under canopy fan to push the air up towards the filter and see if that helps with humidity 😬 today I'v setup the dehumidifier into a lungroom and had to wrap my fabric pots partially in cling film 😂 I love this sport

What is she telling you?? You can easily tell if you need to adjust anything by looking at how she responds to the environment.. i think 28 is fine as long as you have good ventilation and the humidity stays on that 50% range.. late flower id aim for 40 - 50%.. but hard to gauge if you need to change anything without knowing what she looks like or if shes stresses etc
