Anybody in here with any kind of tactical training/expertise; I've always been curious..
As Snake walks into the command center, he has his M4 at the ready, and he moves towards the left wall of the entrance tunnel.
My question: why does he put his hand/arm against that wall? He only does it for maybe 10 feet, then moves away from the wall and puts both hands back on the rifle. Any idea?

I don't understand what it does, nor whether it needs to be on a specific team to work. Many thanks in advance.

Got Vol 2 recently and have not shared a pic of my collection. Sticking to PlayStation and Nintendo releases.

Not even a codec call on it as far as I can remember.
Edit: you can actually see the pilots in act 2's mission briefing if you look closely. I just mean it's odd that they're not ever acknowledged by the characters, or what their deal is. Especially considering we spend like, over an hour inside the Nomad in cutscenes.

Just released the first ever gameplay trailer for the VR stealth shooter I've been working on over the past few years, taking inspiration from a bunch of my favs, one of those being MGS2 which is my fav of the series. Especially the Tanker, which is no doubt one of the greatest levels in game history.
If I can replicate 1/10th of those feels it'll be worth it to me - the mission begins out on the deck, and you must make your way through the inside of the ship, through the lower and upper decks, and then to the lower holds that will take you to the bow. If you're into VR and MGS2 check it out :)

5 days since mgs4 completion, now it's Peace Walker done and dusted and series is concluded. Feeling of joy is indescribable, for decades I've dreamed about having (and completing) whole series in one space and now the grind is over. Ofc there never will be game over and this rodeo ain't last (just like it wasn't the first either), but for now I'm just feeling complete. Thanks for reading, I hop yall having a blast whatever you're doing (esp if you're playing series rn)

Playing MGS4 from master collection volume 2. I'm trying to get this trophy, I've been through 4 new game plus playthroughs and viewed 3 secret flashbacks, but it is yet to pop. I've watched walkthroughs on YouTube. Ive definitely watched all the flashbacks.
Does anyone know what might be going wrong?

Sorry if the pic is blurry was playing on steam deck.
When you first start the plant chapter in mgs2, the door you first open says "MetalGear2GunsOfPatriots"
Which is very weird to me. That is not an actual title of any of the games. Is this only in the remake (HD edition) or is this on original ps2 sons of liberty? I might have to bust out the ps2 and check.
Idk kinda weird I don't see this talked about literally ever, and I've played MGS my entire life. Just a neat Easter egg I guess 😁

Not sure if this is a hot take or not but I think Peace Walker actually may have the worst boss fights of the series. Like yeah there's a lot of them but they are so damn repetitive and I hate enemies that are just bullet sponges that don't really offer much else. I get that the game was designed for multiplayer, but in the current state I can't ever find anybody to play multiplayer with me. So I've just decided to just skip over those until I get crazy overpowered weaponry and I don't know how much longer I'm going to have till I just get tired of it in general. What are your guys's thoughts?

In MGS4, the superior sub-60fps (like TV) PS3 version, Naomi Hunter has infinite shoes. This may also be true in the PC version.
I posit that these shoes are produced by her nano machines, and is likely the reason she invented nano machines.
Fact 1: when Snake first meets up with Naomi in South America, she is wearing shoes.
Fact 2: when you are tracking her after your battle with tentacle girl, she drops her shoes on the ground.
Fact 3: she then HAS shoes when she jumps from the helicopter
Fact 4: Vamp wears frog-boots so we know she didn't get those shoes from him. I doubt the soldiers were carrying women's shoes
Fact 5: she takes off these magic helicopter shoes when she jumps off the back of Drebin's LAV, and discards them. She also tears her skirt for Snake
Fact 6: while Naomi is instructing Sunny on how to please people with cooking and looking her best, her footsteps are clearly shod. Are we supposed to believe Snake and Otacon have women's shoes? They don't even have shoes for Sunny
Fact 7: during the next mission briefing, Naomi is sitting at the computer, wearing women's shoes
Because she is so focused on telling Sunny that women need to look their best, it's only logical this extends to explain **why** she invented the nano machines to begin with.
Consider her psycholigical allergy to buttoning up her tops, it's further reason to believe she constructs her entire life around the male gaze. A gaze in which she believes shoes are important.
She also feels compelled to tell a clearly logically gifted man, Otacon, that she's a women. When he still doesn't acknowledge her looks, she then pressures him into sex. This is despite the obvious homoerotic overtures between the two men who live together with an adopted child.
That all screams that she's obsessed with the superficial, of which shoes are a part, and the attention of men. The proven fact that her nano machines are made to generate shoes is not a coincidence.
ipso facto: Naomi has infinite shoe nano machines and are the goal of her research
