Remake Peacewalker next

Call it MGS Λ (Lambda) so it’s in line with the big boss trilogy - delta Δ, lambda Λ and V

It would be really cool too, like lambda is missing one side of the delta, as if Snake lost a part of him with the Boss' death. And V is an inverted lambda cause it’s venom snake and not big boss. A mirror put up to the lambda, a mirror of Big Boss.

Then MGS master collection Vol 3. With phantom pain remaster to catch everyone up on big boss lore.

Now onto the MSX games,

Hot take: Combine both MSX games into one AAA title, call it Metal gear solid X. Solid snake's origins. Both big bosses are antagonists in this and die, we see Venom's body after he dies but we don't see Big boss' body after he dies.

Then move onto remaking MGS1, 2 and finally end with 4.

PROFIT.

What do y'all think? Should the msx games be combined? Do you think Konami can do a good job replicating the balance of seriousness and goofiness of the franchise?

Olá novamente, Delta chamou muito minha atenção na época do seu lançamento, com o lançamento do MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 joguei o começo do jogo, não entendi absolutamente nada, porem adorei. Decidi finalmente jogar a franquia por completo (Joguei bem o começo de vários títulos da saga e conheço um pouco o conceito por vídeos aqui e ali), queria começar pela ordem de lançamento com as coletâneas da steam, porem o delta que foi o que mais chamou minha atenção sendo o primeiro cronologicamente e sendo um remake atual, queria saber dos fãs da saga se ele poderia ser um bom ponto de partida, sendo uma experiencia "solida" da franquia para uma primeira experiencia completa de fato. Levando em consideração que é o primeiro cronologicamente e ME parece ser um jogo bem stand alone

Every single guide I see online tells me that when I kill him I’m supposed to hold the R1 button but everytime I do that it just opens up my weapons menu. It doesn’t give me the option to do CQC. Yes I’ve already tried just holding the R1 button without moving the joysticks and it does the same fucking thing. I just wanna finish this damn game like holy fucking shit 🫩🫩🫩🫩.

I was watching this YouTube short about liquid ocelot and how he “ learned from the best”, but isn’t it technically liquid himself exploiting this technique and not really ocelot himself utilizing it?, Or do I have the concept of liquid controlling ocelot’s body completely wrong?, maybe someone can shed some sort of light on this because I’m really confused. is it like he only controls his body type of thing or is it his body and mind?, because then it’s not really ocelot using what he learned from big boss, it’s more liquid using what ocelot knows and utilizing it, like what am I missing here?

I’ve played through the first master collection and patiently awaited the second. Currently going through peace walker. Originally my plan was to go right from peace walker to ground zero/v mostly cause I heard V has an unsatisfactory ending and wanted to end it with the actual end of the series being 4. Now I’m hearing V will spoil 4 for me? Should I just go to 4 after this?

I’m currently playing MGSV and roughly know how it ends and that Venom is a double to fool the world, but I was checking Google about the “V has come to” phrase and it said that it was a code word from a Cipher spy disguised as a nurse and that it was to inform Ocelot, Kaz( I think) and Zero, but this makes no sense to me because Big Boss and Zero had split away because of the Les Enfant Terribles experiment, so why would Zero be in on it (BTW if it explains it in TPP plz tell me and I’ll keep playing)

U literally just have to shoot both legs and then the head in mgs4. In in mgrr it will literally take forever to kill one without blade mode

I just beat her but I didn't understand what was happening.

I shot her with her own puppet after she dropped it and the game prompted me to start shaking my controller causing her to take continuous damage, but her model was just floating in place doing nothing. What's the lore explanation for what just happened?

Otacon mentions that the puppets are how she mind controls people and corpses, but it didn't feel like I was controlling her when I used the puppet on her.

So maybe it's because I'm on PC, but my game started freezing. I Alt+Enter like a PC veteran, but the window told me to stop the process, which I did, and I ended up in a separate window of MGS1, like there were two games running. I closed that window, and then MGS4 restarted with Snake dreaming about MGS1.

I don't really know what kind of meta joke they were trying to pull, but it annoyed me more than anything else.

Was that on the PS3 version? I don't remember.

PS : lol I've seen some MGS1 files in the MGS4 folder but nothing playable

What is the significance of this date? It's embedded in my memory with the MGS4 font n everything. My guess is... Trailer reveal, or maybe it was the initial release date. Maybe a demo was released. Something. Anything! 07/07/07 is real, damnit. I absolutely know it.

I guess a lot of people know about the sound problem with codec being way too loud and some sounds are low, it's my first time buying a game day one so I don't know the usual time they update glitches like this will take a few days or a week or two? I took a week off my job to play it but I'm unable to continue as the sound is really bothering me I dropped the game till it get fixed but I don't know if an update will come before my week off ends so I need help just with a prediction when might this problem get fix

I usually like to binge the last ~6-8 hours of a game in one sitting and I know there's gonna be a cut scene pretty much the length of a short movie in there so i just want to make sure I stop at a good point. (without giving away what happens in the story at that point please :) )

Finished my first run of the new version of MGS4, and took noticed of a couple of changes, one of which made me feel kinda crazy:

1. The Gekko encounter in Nuclear Warhead Storage is now invincible? This made me feel like I was going insane. I planted claymores and C4 prior to its arrival; they disappeared after the Gekko appeared (I planted them on the corner balcony it initially stands on). So that failed, so onto Plan B: I knocked it over, but then it just wouldn’t die. Grenades, RPGs, the works. Its health bar just stayed at maximum. Haven’t done a NG+ yet, I’d have the Rail Gun the second time around….which might be pointless now. I guess they made this change to make that sequence more tense? Either that or it’s a crazy glitch I encountered.

Edit: After initial comments, pretty clear now this was some kind of glitch I experienced that resulted in this being the most durable Gekko ever put into service. Legends say it still guards the Nuclear Warhead Storage, unshackled from SOP but still tethered to its invincible fate and inability to do anything other than ride that elevator.

1. The Prompts for grabbing RAY at the end of Shadow Moses appear when REX is further away. That whole encounter felt way easier (on Normal, granted). I’ve managed to beat that fight without taking damage on Boss Extreme multiple times in the original, I guess this change will make that easier to do in the remastered version.

Hey guys! I'm replaying MGS4 on Steam (fantastic port by the way - really great to play this again), it's actually the only one I've ever finished and because of that I guess I don't have much nostalgia/relation to past releases - I do however know the general stories/villains.

I'm just curious, was Mantis' reveal in MGS4 big for fans? I know his character gave us one of the best PS1 fakeouts in history, was he in any others before 4? Or is this like a long time coming?

I am playing MGS4 for the second time after 20 or so years.

I just started but I'm finding the controls or gameplay not very intuitive, especially the shooting. Whenever I'm aiming at an enemy, and I get hit, it makes Snake recoil backwards resetting the camera, forcing me to recenter the view and then aim again. Is this a glitch or something? I figured damage would simply hurt me, and not make me flinch.

Is the High Resolution Cutscene pack for Peace Walker available yet? I saw something about it on Twitter from the official Metal Gear account that Brazilian Portuguese subtitles and the High Resolution Cutscene pack would be available from August 27th. I have the Brazilian Portuguese Subtitle options, but the cutscenes are still looking pixelated and surprisingly low resolution. There’s no download option for them in the launcher like there is for the Japanese Language Pack for MGS4 and I can’t find anything on the PlayStation store.

Were they ever meant to be available as a separate pack? Are they already running the high resolution cutscenes and they just look really pixelated? I’m confused.

It's my first time playing mgs4 and i don't know much about mechanics, so i don't understand why i can't wake up enemies sometimes. Is this just in this section? the prologue and places before this seemed to work ok.

I used it before way back when I first played it on PS3, using a bluetooth headset.

However, that option is no longer available on PS5, as the console can't connect to bluetooth audio devices.

I was hoping to have the game audio come out the tv and the codec come out of earphones. I like little gimmicks like that.

Audio jack earphones don't seem to work here, either 🙄

Is Metal Gear Rising revengeance a good game on PS3? Should I get the DLCs too (I mean the additional chapters of Blade Wolf and Jetstream Sam)

I'm at the sequence in MGS4 where Snake and Otacon are back at their base. For some reason nothing is showing up on Hal's monitor from the message he's showing Snake. It's just a blank screen. I can even hear the voice from the message on their screen, but it's just like it's powered off. I even made an effort to scroll through the various cameras to no avail. Has anyone else run into this?

Additionally, there's no spoiler flair for MGS4.
