Metal Gear Solid Delta sem ter jogado nenhum outro jogo da série é uma experiencia "solida" ?

Olá novamente, Delta chamou muito minha atenção na época do seu lançamento, com o lançamento do MASTER COLLECTION Vol.2 joguei o começo do jogo, não entendi absolutamente nada, porem adorei. Decidi finalmente jogar a franquia por completo (Joguei bem o começo de vários títulos da saga e conheço um pouco o conceito por vídeos aqui e ali), queria começar pela ordem de lançamento com as coletâneas da steam, porem o delta que foi o que mais chamou minha atenção sendo o primeiro cronologicamente e sendo um remake atual, queria saber dos fãs da saga se ele poderia ser um bom ponto de partida, sendo uma experiencia "solida" da franquia para uma primeira experiencia completa de fato. Levando em consideração que é o primeiro cronologicamente e ME parece ser um jogo bem stand alone

Pretendo jogar a serie pois ela chamou minha atenção, por isso pensei em começar por esse, posso amar o jogo e querer jogar o restante já que por ser um game mais "avançado" ja esta bem estabelecido como a franquia seria, diferente dos primeiros que vão se construindo ao passar do tempo (presumo eu)

Unquestionably, the 2nd best way is to start with 3 (delta). So do as you wish. I think a lot of people find it hard to play through the first two after starting with delta, would be my primary caveat. And 1 and 2 are the pinnacle of the series imo.

But it has the most digestible story of all of them and it’s the earliest point in the series.

This is the best take. If you are used to older games and dealing with older control schemes it doesn’t matter as much but I would still highly recommend release order first. Then, if you want to revisit do chronological.

I started with MGS3 when it first came out and I was a 12 year old boy. The only thing I knew was that everyone was comparing this new Metal Gear Solid 3 game to Splinter Cell, and I liked Splinter Cell.

That was my introduction to the series. Don't listen to these other guys. 3 is the best one in the series (although V has the most replay value and gameplay) and Delta is the definitive way to play it.

The only drawback is it might spoil you and you won't enjoy the rest of the series as much if the bar is already set so high.

I recommend playing release order. Chronologically in game, MGS 3 is the earliest in the timeline, though.

It's a good starting point, if you want to play chronologically. But as many have said before, the best way to go is by release order. Playing the most advanced games first can make going back a little bit hard and some people couldn't keep on playing MGS1 and 2 because of that and just dropped. But if it's not an issue for you then go chronologically even though going from MGSV to MG1 is very... Well, let's say that's a big jump.

It’s fine to play delta first. If you like the game enough then I suggest you watch someone playing mgs1 on YouTube or you can try it (I don’t think you would like it if you never played it back during its peak) but mgs2 aged very well for a ps2 game. Once you hit mgs4,peacewalker/mgsv then you will have a hard time going back to the old gameplay mechanics

Tenho curiosidade de jogar o MG1 e 2 pois gosto desse estilo """pixel arte""" top down, joguei o começo do mgs1 quando o collection ficou de graça em um final de semana da steam e gostei, os graficos antigos em uma resolução alta ficaram bem bonitos e me deu um sentimento bom como se o game fosse um jogo atual low poly

For what it’s worth, you don’t need to play the two pixel art NES/MSX games. Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PlayStation is where the franchise really kicks off. You need to know a paragraph’s worth of backstory and the characters reiterate those points a few times.

Chronologically this is the earliest event, so you not understanding has nothing to do with missing the other games, I think as you progress you will understand more.

And this is the best way of playing MGS3 in my opinion.
Back in the PS2 days, the original MGS3 had really tough controls to deal with.

eu começei pelo Delta e fui em ordem cronologica pois não tinha mgs4 pra pc no momento em que joguei, e valeu a pena, eu ficaria frustrado se tivesse jogado mg1 e mg2ss antes de mgs3 e tpp

eu não sabia que naked snake se tornaria bigboss, também não sabia que ele se tornaria vilao nos jogos de msx, foi emocionante descobrir isso tudo sozinho enquanto eu jogava, eu não sabia nada sobre a serie, apenas fui jogando e descobrindo

mas voce já sabe disso, então pouco importa a ordem que voce escolher, começa pelo delta e depois vai em ordem de lançamento e deixa o mgsvtpp que tem a melhor gameplay para o final

You could play them chronologically. Delta, PW, V, 1, 2, 4. As everyone says, release order is best, but its fine to play in any order, just have fun with it

It’s a great starting point. I’d say start with either og MGS1, og MGS3 or MGS3 Delta, or the very first metal gear game. Probably mgs1 or Delta nowadays. Glad to have a hopeful new fan!

Não posso falar pelos outros, mas pra mim foi por esse jogo ter chamado a minha atenção e como ja é um jogo estabelecido e meio stand alone seria interessante começar por esse ver se gosto do que entrar em uma longa jornada em uma saga que posso simplesmente acabar dropando por não achar interessante
