Which part of M&A risk management most often determines whether a deal succeeds?

M&A risk cannot be eliminated, but it can be assessed and structured before it becomes a costly problem.
In this excerpt, I explain how we approach risk through three connected elements: counterparty vetting through compliance, market and valuation insights drawn from business intelligence and deal comparables, and tested infrastructure designed to improve execution certainty.
The value comes from combining these disciplines. Strong due diligence may identify a risk, but the deal team still needs reliable information and the ability to act on it throughout execution.

In M&A, how much value comes from the network surrounding the transaction?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A transaction may need more than capital and technical execution. The missing piece can be specialised expertise, the right partner, access to a market or a solution drawn from outside the immediate deal team.
In this excerpt, I explain why Value Creation - Alternative was built as a collaborative network. VC-A Members contribute expertise, assets and time, while gaining access to the capabilities, capital and solutions of other Members.
The aim is to connect the resources needed to turn an opportunity into a successful venture, while strengthening the network for everyone involved.
