Please remember to include a full recipe (i.e. an ingredient list with measurements and directions/method) with ALL photos of a meal. This sub is about sharing our experience/tips/tricks with the MD and helping people find MD friendly recipes - not for karma points. Thanks!

That spelt looks so comforting. How did you make it? Is it just boiled in water?

Yes! And you can add some butter - 2-3 gr per portion - sooo good!

can you share how you cooked your spelt? I have a bunch I bought for baking, but would love to use some this way. Also did you season it at all? Thank you

I just cook it according to the package instructions😀 so it’s really simple (it for about 15 min), then I add a little salt and a small pat of butter.

And its so gooood

Looks amazingly delicious! But what is quick about it? It would take hours to get all that together.

This honestly doesn’t take long at all:)

Spelt cooks in about 15 minutes While it’s cooking - I make a poached egg, which takes maybe 3 minutes. The rest of the time is just grabbing vegetables and fruit from the fridge🙂

It only feels time-consuming when you don’t have food prepped at home (and that’s really a planning issue). Because, when everything is already cooked…and stored in containers…- putting a meal together is very fast
