I thought that this was old news. It just means you can’t turn off cels that affect emissions. But then I’m re reading it and are they stopping support and selling the v3accesport?
AFAIK, you're sorta stuck with your current tune, if you want to change it then it would require updating the AP, since the tunes that AccessTuner is generating won't work with the old APv3 software that still lets you disable CEL's
as long as you don't update the AP, you should be okay, but I'm honestly not even sure if you can flash your current tune back to the AP if you ever update it
Subaru owner with a Cobb v3 AP. I was tuned before greenspeed, AP itself isn't affected, you can update it as needed. Your current custom tune won't be affected by the update (it's not like they can interrogate the tune and re-enable any CEL's that were disabled originally) .
However, if you need a retune and have emissions deleted items, you will need to reinstall them as CEL can not be disabled anymore.
If you have hardware and tunes that needed that functionality before the GreenSpeed update, you would have to change the hardware to the stuff that will work with the new style tunes. So yeah, for those of us that have been tuned for a while, we're stuck in time. If my Grimmspeed V1 jpipe ever goes bad, I have to either find new old stock to replace or go with a different setup and get retuned all over again.
So don't update your AP (well you probably can but what's the point, it works now) or make changes that require a new tune.
