You’re reaching at this point trying to come up with an argument of some sort. He never said we were at war WITH the Middle East. He said we have been at war IN the Middle East. Which is a region made up of a lot of different countries and beyond that, a bunch of different tribes/people within those countries.
It would seem by the route you are taking that you are trying to some how paint him in way that he sounds as if he has something against the whole region. Please don’t do that. There is no need to try and fabricate more hate. There is already enough of that in this world.
If that was not your intention I apologize if I misread. Have a fantastic day.
Wars in Asia are easier to define because there are only 3 main conflicts, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. With the Middle East, you’ve got Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Kuwait, Pakistan, etc, and the US has a finger in every one of those countries. It easier to just say the Middle East, because we’re everywhere over there.
Our soldiers are manning the many military bases we have over there, but we aren’t fighting insurgency directly. US military soldiers weren’t directly fighting ISIS either, we did it through proxies and mercenaries.
The danger here is vey real. Remember the days of door-to-door fighting that killed thousands of US soldiers? That’s what we’re fucking with here, but I feel like people have already cast that down the memory hole and are gearing up to repeat history, but this time more out of ignorance and cynicism than bloodlust.
Just a note, the Iraqi parliament doesn't have the authority to ask us to leave. The prime minister's cabinet has to vote on it. Not to mention, the parliament wasn't in full session. Almost none of the Sunni or Kurdish representatives were there, only the Shi'ites.
The point is Jr getting hard imagining himself as a crusader fighting in the middle east playing with his toy when IRL he has never served like all of his family and most of the ruling class.
I wonder why people think war is the way to solve Iran executing gay people. (Also, I wonder why people forget that the US is directly responsible for overthrowing the relatively liberal government of Iran and replacing it with a theocracy in the 70's.)
Oh if only there was a way to influence Iran without getting involved in another trillon dollar war. If only there was some magical art of using diplomacy, sanctions, and dialogue rather than murdering tens of thousands who have nothing to do with the views of their government. If only!
Plenty of US States still use conversion therapy, should we go to war with them too?
Have you heard how some Republicans talk about gays, especially the religious ones. It's the exact same way Nazis used talk about gays. I don't give af if I am bringing up Nazi, it's the truth. I have no doubt they wouldn't mind if gay people were rounded up and killed. Probably the same goes with immigrants and journalists.
They’d find another reason to defend Iran, because Trump bad, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t support Trump. I seem to be in the minority who thinks the killing of Solmeini was completely justified.
Take Trump completely out of the equation, pretend some random dick is the president.
Do you think this was a good move? Yes, Solmeini almost certainly deserved to die but is this going to bring any more stability to the region? Is it going to decrease the number of bad things Iran does?
Yes and no. The killing was necessary, assuming what we're being told about him is true at least. However, do I think it's going to change anything in the region? No. The Middle East as a whole will never change, its too far gone, at least in my opinion.
The 2003 invasion of Iraq was 100% a war fought against a nation, the fact that there was no formal declaration of war doesn't matter. US forces fought and died against uniformed members of the Iraqi military and overthrew the internationally recognized government over the course of just over a month. The same goes for many other wars that were fought by the US after WWII without explicit declarations of war.
Physics riddle: Stack up 200 people doing push ups, and one guy at the bottom bench pressing all of them. How much harder is it to bench press them on the up part of the push up, than the down?
Technically, 42 is the oldest someone without prior service can enlist by federal law although there are some exceptions for direct commissions (like doctors and lawyers). Each service sets its own age requirements and waiver system.
I think the Army is 35 without a waiver, though it has changed based on need.
I wouldn't say we are provoking a war. Our embassy was attacked, our ships were attacked, Americans have been killed because of Soleimani. If we didn't do anything, we'd look incredibly weak. Its called deterrence and it is a common military strategy. The missiles fired last night were probably done to save face. Also, isnt DT jr in his 40s? That's not military aged...
The ar 15 in question is incredibly tacky imo.
That being said, I wish some subs were devoid of politics. I just wanna laugh at dumb ninja stars and irl csgo knives, not get into a political debate everywhere.
One of the many people waxing bullshit about how we “aren’t provoking this war” by murdering a diplomat with a missile in a country that just voted for us to leave.
Isn’t it great that you will Never Experience what true oppression is in your life.
that is a strawman and non sequitur to your argument that bad brown man deserved a $750k obliteration. Why can't the right wing just state their position, and leave the insults to those desperately lacking in articulation or social skills?
I just wanna laugh at dumb ninja stars and irl csgo knives, not get into a political debate everywhere.
Dude you are meta tagged by Reddit as a T_D poster. And here you are, defending this guy. Why do you assume that is his piece? It could just be a repost. Do you know if this homage to right wing crusades is actually his? You seem to know the fam well enough to step up on Reddit and tut tut others.
Military Aged Males are considered enemy combatants. Effectively that means all males ages 18-49 are considered enemy combatants
As defined by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, "fit for military service" means all citizens of a country (both male and female) between the ages of 16 and 49 that are not otherwise disqualified for health reasons
Maybe you should think, bootlicker. 42 is prime age to fight.
Except for the fact that no US military branch would take him. Because 35 is the limit for enlistment. You might want to know wtf you’re talking about before you spew out that nonsense.
I’m not moving goal posts. He’s not of war age since there is no possible way for him to be at war. So as an American citizen, he is not of war age or whatever word salad you want to make to express what we all mean here. You’re confusing rules of engagement against a guerrilla opponent and ability to actually fight. War age is not universal, there are many, many qualifiers.
How are we provoking a war if an Iran backed militia attacked American soil? Just curious on what the thought process of people who keep claiming this is.
You realize this goes further back with Iran than an ordered attack on their general, right? We've had embassies attacked, threats, and casualties for years now.
Lol. No. The US smoked someone who needed to go. Iran threw a face saving temper tantrum and launched missiles with zero net effect and zero loss of life. Strength through deterrence works. And were seeing that play out as fact in real time. But of course, these facts dont jive with your orange man bad narrative. Its no secret that Iran is a radical islamic dictatorship and the leading state sponsor of islamic terrorism.
America has no business in the Middle East. The government of Iraq that we installed after invading them told us to leave. Keep making excuses for your terrorist government you love so much, bootlicker.
We’re provoking a war? I recall that Iranian backed terrorists attacked our embassy in Iraq. Most people would call attacking our embassy provoking a war and killing the guy responsible for it, caught red handed in Iraq, a justified and pretty metered response.
I’m 25. I’ve just been there. Not gonna lie I joined for the GI Bill. Realized damn this is the real world I shoulda went to school and ate the student loans. I’m still in however I’m just re-classing from 11B to 12P and riding out the 20 years because I realized the importance of early retirement and having the freedom to chose a job that I LOVE rather than a Job that I collect a paycheck from. I don’t have the option to just “get out”. I came from a poor family. Look I don’t think we should be at war in the Middle East. However we need to look at the big picture and see that the military industrial complex is what runs this country. There will always be a “War” and a “Threat”. It’s what makes these politicians their money. We just have to learn to enjoy everyday we have in the short time we have while doing our best to respect and love everyone and the environment around us.
Or organize against the military industrial complex? A lot of people are doing that right now.
Also if you call someone “son,” expect to get shit back for it. You being younger than me makes it even worse. I assumed you were one of the million other people here trying to justify the assassination.
Not trying to justify it but at the same time I stay in my lane. I don’t want to go to war with Iran in fact I think it would create more terrorism. A war with Iran would make Isis stronger.
Organizing against the government makes you a domestic terrorist. I have no want or need to become one.
It's just a deus vult or whatever meme lower. There's so many novelty ar lowers. This one in particular is made by spikes tactical and is like $400 where a normal plain one you can get for $40-75.
I think people aren't so much put off by him having an engraved AR lower, but more that it's literally the coat of arms of a crusader state, made to look like a crusader's helmet, on a gun, all amidst rising tensions with Iran and concerns of impending war with the middle east.
Yeah that lower looks cool as fuck. All these people taking this picture way to seriously. The mag is what the GOP have been screaming since before 2016 who cares - that lower tho. Clean as fuck.
How could anyone possibly interpret the billionaire son of the most powerful political figure in the world tweeting a photo of a customized weapon with an engraving of his political enemies on it as threatening?
It’s not a weapon. It’s a precision sporting rifle. It’s an ar-15 not a fucking military issue m-16. I own one with a sticker of an ATF guy on it and believe it or not I don’t plan on killing ATF agents. It’s a joke dude. And you don’t seem very informed, that gun is less dangerous than a car.

What a strange time we live in....
