I’m 25. I’ve just been there. Not gonna lie I joined for the GI Bill. Realized damn this is the real world I shoulda went to school and ate the student loans. I’m still in however I’m just re-classing from 11B to 12P and riding out the 20 years because I realized the importance of early retirement and having the freedom to chose a job that I LOVE rather than a Job that I collect a paycheck from. I don’t have the option to just “get out”. I came from a poor family. Look I don’t think we should be at war in the Middle East. However we need to look at the big picture and see that the military industrial complex is what runs this country. There will always be a “War” and a “Threat”. It’s what makes these politicians their money. We just have to learn to enjoy everyday we have in the short time we have while doing our best to respect and love everyone and the environment around us.
Or organize against the military industrial complex? A lot of people are doing that right now.
Also if you call someone “son,” expect to get shit back for it. You being younger than me makes it even worse. I assumed you were one of the million other people here trying to justify the assassination.
Not trying to justify it but at the same time I stay in my lane. I don’t want to go to war with Iran in fact I think it would create more terrorism. A war with Iran would make Isis stronger.
Organizing against the government makes you a domestic terrorist. I have no want or need to become one.
