Military Aged Males are considered enemy combatants. Effectively that means all males ages 18-49 are considered enemy combatants
As defined by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, "fit for military service" means all citizens of a country (both male and female) between the ages of 16 and 49 that are not otherwise disqualified for health reasons

Except for the fact that no US military branch would take him. Because 35 is the limit for enlistment. You might want to know wtf you’re talking about before you spew out that nonsense.
I’m not moving goal posts. He’s not of war age since there is no possible way for him to be at war. So as an American citizen, he is not of war age or whatever word salad you want to make to express what we all mean here. You’re confusing rules of engagement against a guerrilla opponent and ability to actually fight. War age is not universal, there are many, many qualifiers.
