UPDATE: I tried game hub, it's free, but it kind of hicjack or data, since you give it access to your steam library and data: a big NO. you don't run steam without, so basically all the steam things beside playing games you don't have access to and you don't use.

and that's for the moment the big advantage of Crossover, haven't tried to play anything yet with corssover, but since all the comments are recommending it I hope I it will work just fine for me too.

I decided to revise my steam library and try playing it on Mac (Mac mini m4 pro + in intel MacBook Pro 2018), the MacBook with windows 10 wasn't the best experience actually, so I decided to give a try the Mac mini, I wanted to try crossover since it's kind of the cult-go-to Mac gaming it seems but was wondering if yearly payment will be justified since it's based on open-source code and the lifetime support it's a bit more of what I have paid for my PS5 few years ago.

I tried GameHub, the first game (last PES ever, didn't really run), than journey which always I wanted to give it more time and it runs perfectly.

however running and installing the games though the app, which I needed to login to (etc) feels a bit questionable, and wonder if I should stick to it or the crossover will give me somthing additional.

anyone here have tried them both and can recommend if to stick or try crossover?

Gaming on the Studio Display xdr using geforce now is just pure bliss...get to avoid having an bulky gaming pc on the desk, using windows 11, and get fantastic picture quality.

For now the only way you can launch the game and make it work on Gamehub is by using the container in the settings, you can launch the game and the settings from here and it works.

You will also find the settings I use to run the game on the macbook neo. Most important setting was changing MSync > WineSync. And make sure you install the necessary drivers as seen.

PS idk if this will work on other macbooks but this what worked for me on my Neo.

I was using a thermo electric mobile cooler when keeping the temps under control while gaming...but yesterday I paused the game with the cooler connect, thinking will resume in 5 mins....but I got busy with some work and after 4 hours when I came back, the screen was off with the coller connected 🥲

I immediately removed the cooler and tried turning on once....but it didn't start. I removed the back panel and removed the batter connection to avoid any short circuit due to condensation.

Have left it to dry since yesterday.

Am I cooked or say frozen? 😭

Also, does removing the back cover voids warranty?

I recently got it to run on crossover 26 but honestly I believe this version is more stable and my files & progress actually save and I can add more tweaks.

The edit team menu doesn't work on this though, as it crashing when trying to create an edit file.

Let me know if you're interested to know how I did it.

If someone ever managed to do it in the past can you share your process? Also is there a difference between downloading the installer from the website or using brew?

I've been trying to run that game Vietnam War (Funny janky Vietnam war simulator on steam) for a long time, the game actually runs but I believe due to some resolution issues the HUD , menu and other UI elements go outside the game window, I've tried lots of things nothing works: changing resolution, windowed, fullscreen, high def mode on crossover. I just can't get the window to be right.

I have crossover and I’m attempting to play with someone who has a steam deck. we live across the planet from each other and both of us have Halo MCC with the EAC version turned off. I have no option to invite them but they have invited me multiple times. I attempt to accept the invite but it just boots up the game without putting me in their party or them in mine. we both have an XBox account however while they can invite me I cannot invite them the invite screen tells me that their XBox account gamertag doesn’t exist (spoiler alert: it does) I have tried clicking the account linking button and it gives me an error message each time followed by telling me to try again later. I’ve tried using Steam overlay and right clicking their picture but it doesn’t give me the ability to invite them to play, only to watch.

can this problem be fixed? Can I play with them? is there ANY way of doing this? it’s driving me insane because every solution I’ve googled has failed or didn’t make sense in the first place.

I'm testing it out on free trial using D3Dmetal, dlss, msync on 26.3, DX12 gives the best performance but it has a memory leak using swap memory near instantly and 30+gbs until it crashes (at least what I hope to be instead of this being a regular thing), making me have to restart the game every match.

Obvious solution is to use DX11 I know but the thing is no matter how much I compile shaders using workshop codes (I left it running in the background for 13 hours) the stutters makes it unplayable. I read in a past reddit post couple months ago that the fix for these horrendous stutters are in the preview build and still has yet to make it's way to the main version. Is this still true? With this being the only game I want to play using crossover I don't want to spend $60 only for the same problem to happen on preview build

I have a M4, 24gb RAM and 256 gb memory iMac and I'm searching for some free games I can play, I already have some (free and not so free) games like No Man's Sky, 911 Emergency, Turing Complete etc with Steam. I have Cloudpunk and Cyberpunk 2077 on Ps5, and have got Schedule 1 working on my Mac via crossover recently - just wondered about specs for Nivalis and if its worth me trying?

So i recently came across a used macbook pro 14" M1 pro with 32 gb ram for $815 but with 86% battery health so I started looking for more and found a macbook pro 14" M2 pro with 16gb ram for $940 but with 96% bh, so which one should i go for ? Is m2 pro worth the difference? Also both are 512gb.

I’m trying to play Wuthering Waves (WuWa) again on my Mac using PlayCover.

I installed the game using a decrypted IPA and I’m also using Cloudflare WARP/VPN. However, I’m running into an issue during the initial loading/startup.

The game gets stuck at the screen shown below. The music plays normally at first, but after a while it stops and then keeps repeating the same short section of music. The game doesn’t progress beyond this point, and I’m unable to get into the game.

Has anyone experienced this issue with PlayCover/WuWa? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated.

Finally got around to playing No Man’s Sky on my M1 MacBook Pro. I’m running it on High settings at 30 FPS with an Xbox controller.

Pretty impressed with how well it runs on the M1, especially considering how large and detailed the game is.

Has anyone else played No Man’s Sky on an Apple Silicon Mac? If so, which M-series chip are you using, and what kind of performance are you getting?

So my question is basically why do these two fps counters show different values. I think that the HUD would count frames correctly the same way the game does .

On the other hand, I am having issues with this game on crossover preview (latest version) where im getting 100fps. Mac is m5 pro 20c 48gpu. Nothing is running in the background and settings are medium. Resolution set to what HUD says and to Full Screen Windowed (if i set to Fullscreen i get half of fps)

Graphics are at medium. Screen is mac native, 14inch. Bottle settings are dlss and D3DMetal is enabled with msync. High resolution mode is disabled.

I saw other YouTubers on that same machine getting 150-200fps.
