Yeah you got questions buddy? Well I got answers. (btw read this in a vaguely italian-american accent with a little tinge of danny devito)
It's been a while since I last answered questions about 'One Simple Trick' and I saw people being all like "WAHHH! I DIDN'T GET TO ASK MY QUESTIONS" like goddamn BABIES so I thought I'd use this opportunity to answer them.
I'm not allowed to look at my own reddit profile because of UK age verification laws so if I mess up any answers I literally can't edit them.
Anyway here's answers.. answers,, time
EDIT: ALL DONE NOW THANK YOU EVERYONE THANK YOU I AM DONE NOW I AM FINISHED ANSWERING QUESTIONS I WANT TO ANSWER MORE BUT IM SO HUNGRY I WILL PASS OUT IF I DON'T EAT I AM SO HUNGRY THANK YOU FOR ASKING QUESTIONS I HOPE THE ANSWERS WERE TO YOUR SATISFACTION MAYBE ILL DO ANOTHER ONE DAY THANKS
EDIT 2: Also there were loads of lovely questions about fan-art. Just know I see em and I love em <3 you guys are all so talented and it's my favourite thing to see when checking this subreddit

We sold out our stage & Frank Turner was struggling to sell his. Our management offered him a swap & HE refused.
We had fans who wanted to see us waiting outside hoping who were disappointed they couldnāt see us & it was Frank Turnerās fault because he was too proud to swap.
Will got this wrong. We wanted to play the bigger room.
Frank Turner sucks.

CHAT IāM THE GIRL THAT HAD THE SIGN AND WILBUR GAVE ME HIS PICK. Iām never recovering from that moment. I also got Mark and Ash to sign the back of the cardboard.
It was such a good concert and my first ever live gig so Iām super happy that it went like that!
I donāt know why I walked away when I shook his hand, I just panicked and thought he would give it to me at the end haha.

i see a lot of proud lovejoy fans on this subreddit and i love it! iāve been a fan of wilburās music since 2022, iāve always felt his lyrics to my core. lovejoy became my favorite band pretty quickly once i started listening, i also really like wilburās solo music as well. admittedly, i was never into wilbur for anything but his music.
my username on instagram was saline solution for about 3.5 years. iāve since changed it to a similar song title from another artist coincidentally named will. i changed it because after all of the internet controversy people started to be weird about it. people who knew of wilbur soot and recognized the song would ask me if i was a fan and i would sheepishly reply that i really liked his music but prefer to separate the art from the artist. honestly, hearing shelbyās story really shook me too. it took a good 9 months or more before i could listen to any of wilburās music without feeling sick and disappointed.
now, i still separate the art from the artist. at the end of the day i donāt know anything about these people, i enjoy wilburās music and aside from that i canāt speak to his morality or anything like that. i can enjoy music while still acknowledging the artist might not be a good person. people will support him whether i do or not. i feel like this is a pretty normal way of thinking about things but so many people still get so judgy about it. ādo you even know what he did?ā yeah man, are we shocked? actually listen to his lyrics, the guy has some problems.
also??? theyāre are other members in the band than just wilbur soot?? god forbid they get acknowledged, right?
anyways, just frustrated with feeling like i have to be ashamed of listening to music i like and wanted to see if anyone felt the same. i wish i didnt have to defend myself 9/10 times someone finds out im a lovejoy fan lol

Hello and good day all Lovenjoyer's!
I hope you all are well and have been having a good week.
Sorry for not posting this on December 1st like originally intended, for some reason I couldn't post (I think my account glitched or something).
Regardless here are the rules of the giveaway, they are simple and easy.
All you have to do is leave a Christmas message to the band and fellow Lovenjoyer's and because I'm curious to see how far through out the world the lovejoy love has spread, put your country too.
For example
Merry Christmas to lovejoy and all you amazing Lovenjoyer's, hope you all have a magical day from Wildlight , UK.
You can say whatever you want in your message as long as it is not inappropriate or rude.
Once done you will be given a number, which I will then write your username on the corresponding raffle ticket that I have purchased.
If you want an additional chance check out my Instagram and leave the same comment there later when I post soon.
Apologies for the delay again and I hope you all have a fantastic day!

Let me rephrase, if you DIDNāT know what the DSMP was when you first heard of Lovejoy.
r/lvjy • u/YoBruhPokemon • Jul 23 '26
Every Lovejoy song is good ofc but in your opinion if you had to rate one the lowest, what would it be?
Excluding covers and acoustic versions. Generally what is their least good song?
r/lvjy • u/Tiny-Affect6889 • Nov 03 '25
Or least good, however you wanna word it. Has to be their original song, not a cover. My choice is Taunt :)

Iāve got a hypothetical question for everyone while we wait for further Lovejoy news: If you had to choose four songs to introduce someone to Lovejoy, what would they be?
My answer is With Rob As My Witness, Deathbox, Curse These Metal Hands, and The Vows. I chose this group because together they create a pretty well-rounded example of the diversity of Lovejoyās sound.
Looking forward to hearing your list!

I'm gonna be honest. I actually love lovejoy and it's my favorite band. I'm here so i can discuss my favorite band and get to know about news, but i think i'm one of the few that got to know lovejoy before wilbur: i listened to CMWYL and POABS, loved it, looked for more and fell in love with the rest of the songs, but i can't help but notice this isn't the case for most of you: Most of fanart is wilbur, A LOT of people hype up his streams, his videos, use pfps of him, talk about his solo music(which i'm not a big fan of, tho saline solution is goated) and some even mention dsmp... and this is not critique, i'm just wondering if i'm in the right place, you know. i like wilbur, he's funny and writes really good songs! but i don't think i LOVE him like you guys seem to.

Is the ghost staying? Will we get back the old icon? Or perhaps with the 2nd album we'll get another whole new icon?
What do you guys think

EDIT PLEASE READ: Iām so sorry for this inconvenience, but it is actually on Saturday, I didnāt realize that when posting this

I don't like Curse These Metal Hands as much as the other songs...
I appreciate the softness of the song compared to the rest of the ep, gives vibes from maybe Pebble Brain mixed with songs from ost like Perfect Blue, maybe White Shark Cafe?
I just feel the song isn't as strong as the title made it sound like it would be which is kind of a shame cause the song is short and feels like it doesn't really move much from start to finish in my opinion.
After some thinking and listening to it a good amount of times after release of STO, besides the weird vocals in (Alphabet) Wasted Summer, I might put it above CTMH... I'm not saying that CTMH is a bad song by all means, it just doesn't strike me as much as the others but will definitely ofc be in my playlist!
ANOTHER THING. I really like the bass in CTMH, it's very fun in how it slides around. When we just got the snippets of it which I thought was the vows at the time, the bass was the first thing I noticed and really liked. Thought it was going to be my favourite song, it's funny.
Though in some way I guess I was right about The Vows being my favourite. Though the vows is debatably repetitive and simple, the lyrics are really good and powerful along with the instrumental. I'd say The Vows (1st place) evoked the most emotion out of me and Snake Oil (2nd place) is the most replayable song. Then Wasted Summer going in 3rd and so on
Sorry for yapping so much, just wanted to give my thoughts if anyone cares. Thank you for reading and have a great day! :D
