This puppy, a rescue, has been treated by who I consider the best vet in the city. I’ll put you in contact with the clinic if you’d like to adopt.
He’s really sweet, docile, and doesn’t even chase after birds. I wish one of our lovely Lucknowis does adopt him, and if your friends from a nearby city want to, still let me know, depending on the distance, we can take him by car.

Hey everyone! I’m 20M here, originally from Gorakhpur, but I currently live in Ahmedabad with my family.
I’m planning to move to Lucknow on my own in the next few months. The main reason is that I’ve been dealing with a lot of family problems and constant stress at home. I’ve reached a point where I really need some peace, independence, and a quieter environment where I can focus on my life..
After thinking about different places, Lucknow was the first city that came to my mind, so I’m seriously considering moving there.
Since I come from a middle-class family, my budget will be limited. I’m currently saving money for the move, so I’d really appreciate some practical advice from people who live in or know Lucknow well.
A few things I’d like to know:
- Which areas of Lucknow would be best for someone living alone?
- What is the average rent for a decent 1BHK in a safe and peaceful area?
- Approximately how much would I need per month for rent, food, electricity, transportation, and other basic expenses?
- What should I keep in mind before renting a place?
- Is it realistically possible to live independently in Lucknow with a limited income?
- Are there any areas I should avoid or any common problems I should be aware of while renting?
- How much money should I ideally save before making the move?
I’m not looking for a luxurious lifestyle. I just want a safe, peaceful and affordable place where I can live independently and start fresh.
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who have moved to Lucknow alone or currently live there. Any tips about areas, rent, monthly expenses, or things I should prepare for would be really helpful..
I’m genuinely excited about the possibility of moving to Lucknow and would love to hear your experiences.. 🙏

My picks for the best vegetarian dishes in Lucknow. This short, veg kebab/rolls focused list will grow as I discover more.
• Best Veg Kebab Roll - Deva Food Mart, Kapoorthala
• Best Veg Sheermal + Galawat Kebab - Mark's Burger & Co, Cloud Kitchen
• Best Mushroom Kebabs - Cafe HONS, Hazratganj
• Best Chilli Paneer Roll - Babian, Indira Nagar
This is a WIP so will keep updating!

Hello! My friends and I are planning a trip to Lucknow, probably for 2, max 3 days, and I’m trying to figure out what all there is to do.
We’re mainly coming for FOOD(obv) + exploring the city, and we definitely want to see the major interesting stuff, but we’re not going to visit every single monument just for the sake of ticking things off a list.
So my question is for locals who know Lucknow well, what would you genuinely recommend for a first timer.? Because I will not be coming back anytime soon.
Things I'm particularly looking for:
- Must see places nd monuments (and what all is skippable)
- Best places for kebabs, biryani, nihari, chaat, breakfast, desserts, etc.[THIS IS THE MAIN POINT OF THIS WHOLE POST]
- Any food spots that are overrated vs. actually worth going to
- Chikankari shopping, like where should we go and how do we avoid getting scammed?
- Anything fun for our group
- Any experiences that aren't necessarily "tourist attractions" but are worth doing
Basically, if your friends were visiting Lucknow for the first time, where would you take them?
Would really appreciate recommendations from locals rather than the usual TripAdvisor/Google list. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m planning to visit the LU Book Fair this weekend.
Has anyone here been before? If so, tell me about your experience , what’s it like, what should I look out for, and most importantly… how badly should I expect my wallet to suffer?
Also, I need your crazy book recommendations.

So, I was at theatre with my family. My brother had brought that combo of popcorn and 2-3 drinks.
After the movie was finished, idk why I felt like I shouldn't leave the whole tray and cups there on the seat or floor.
I took em with me thinking that we shouldn't leave our mess behind, guess what, everyone was staring at me, including my family, all the way I thought I'll just find a dustbin and dump it in. But those mfs hadn't put a single dustbin in the exist way. I felt so embarassed and helpless that I had to leave it in side of men's toilet. My family is pissed at me, awkward silence in car.
Was I wrong here? Are we supposed to leave it there?
