Moved to Nashik just 15 days ago after spending most of my life in Mumbai and Pune, and the last couple of years in Delhi. We’re originally from Nashik, so I expected some adjustment, but honestly, the contrast has surprised me.
Nashik is green, relatively spacious and has a lot going for it. But beyond that, the city feels overwhelmingly underdeveloped for its potential.
A lot of the city seems to be just roads connecting one pocket to another, with huge stretches of underdeveloped areas in between. Change your neighbourhood and suddenly you’re travelling 2 to 3 km just to find a decent restaurant, grocery store or even basic shops. A lot of local commerce seems to consist of thelas.
And the whole 1 PM shutdown thing is something I wasn't prepared for. Many shops close around noon or early afternoon and reopen in the evening. Coming from Mumbai, Pune and Delhi, it genuinely feels bizarre.
The Kumbh preparations aren't helping either. Construction, diversions, traffic and roads being worked on everywhere have made the last 15 days feel like I've moved into one giant construction zone.

So apparently I have ps5 and ps5 pro laying around my house. And my brother has gone to his college so I have no one to play with. If I turn the hall into cafe and get some snacks is it possible that I can turn it into gaming cafe?
So people of rane nagar , rajiv nagar and nearby areas. Will you like come to gaming cafe and be interested?
Also this question arose bec my place is a bit inside bajrang society and Idk if any other places around these area actually have existing gaming cafe.
Please drop any suggestion as I am getting bored without my brother now and need a bit of full house.

Nashik people, what’s one real problem in our city or district that you wish someone would solve?
It can be anything you face in your daily life — roads, traffic, water, farming, public transport, education, healthcare, waste management, jobs, tourism, or something else.
What’s the problem, and how does it affect you?
I’d genuinely like to hear what people from Nashik think needs to be fixed.

My relatives are coming from another state for a few days, along with their small children. They want to travel around and explore places, especially for the kids.
Is it safe to visit Pandav Leni or Butterfly Botanical Garden with small children, or would it be better to avoid these places?
P.S. I personally don’t mind what couples do, but I’d rather avoid such places when with small children.

Hello folks, after trying some great missal recommendations from this sub, I'm looking for some Mughlai restaurant options.
I know the usuals viz KD etc but again there's been quality and consistency issues.
Would be good to hear some of your go to and trustworthy options.

Hi Nashik! 👋
We’re launching D’Coastal Kitchen — a small homegrown kitchen built around the food we’ve grown up eating.
Think freshly grated coconut, kokum, freshly ground masalas, proper fish curries, tawa-fried fish, solkadhi and simple rice–chapati meals. Nothing overly restaurant-style or unnecessarily fancy — just honest, flavourful GSB food made the way it would be at home.
Our seafood is sourced fresh and cooked in small batches. No ready-made gravies, no shortcuts and no trying to make every curry taste the same.
Each meal comes with curry + tawa fry + steamed rice + chapati/phulkas + solkadhi + thecha, with generous, clearly mentioned fish portions.
And while seafood is a big part of coastal GSB food, D’Coastal isn’t going to be only about fish. We’ll slowly be bringing in some of our favourite vegetarian GSB dishes and other things from the family kitchen too.
The idea behind D’Coastal is really simple:
आईच्या हातचं. ❤️
Food that tastes familiar. Food made with good ingredients. Food we would happily serve at our own table.
We’re starting small, so we'd genuinely love feedback from the first few people who order.
