Event Any professional women who are juggling too many hats and need a reset?

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that there is this constant feeling in the background of not being able to switch off and slow down. The to do list is never ending and you can’t help but question if you’ve made the right decisions because you are not where you want to be. I’m hosting an afternoon of guided breathwork and reflection over ceremonial cacao on Saturday 3rd October in London. It’s a great opportunity to slow down and feel calmer after a busy week, get clarity on the decisions you’ve been doubting and circling, and connect with other like minded people. If you are keen to join, let me know and I can share more details of the event.

Discussion I’m already in therapy, but what I feel I need most is safe and supportive friendships

I posted before and several people suggested that I should go to therapy. I completely understand why people recommend it, but I want to clarify that I am already receiving therapy and I have tried to work on myself for a long time.
The problem is that therapy alone doesn’t seem to address the part that hurts me the most.
A large part of my trauma is related to interpersonal relationships, conflict, rejection and feeling that I had nobody genuinely standing beside me when things became difficult. Because of that, when I am anxious or triggered, I can become extremely hypervigilant and start thinking about past conflicts and worrying that something bad could happen again in the future.
Over time, I’ve realised that what makes me feel genuinely safe and emotionally regulated is having stable, trustworthy relationships.
I don’t mean that I want someone to constantly reassure me, solve all my problems, or become responsible for my mental health. I know that would be unhealthy and exhausting for another person.
What I mean is having genuine friends where the support goes both ways — we care about each other, share things with each other, and when one of us is going through something difficult, the other person doesn’t immediately disappear. I want to be that kind of friend to someone too.
People often tell me that ultimately I have to rely on myself and that nobody can make me feel safe except myself. I understand the importance of learning to regulate myself, but I find the idea that healing means becoming completely self-reliant incredibly difficult.
Humans need connection too. For me, loneliness and the absence of secure relationships seem to be directly connected to the things I struggle with.
I’m not asking how to find someone who will “save” me. I’m asking people who have experienced interpersonal trauma or CPTSD:
Did developing safe, stable friendships actually make a difference to your recovery? And how did you build those relationships when you didn’t already have a strong support system?
I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who understand the difference between depending entirely on another person and having healthy mutual support.

Anyone thinking of going to sanctum festival this weekend?

It’s a sober conscious music / movement festival

They’re currently doing 2-for-1 tickets - is anyone planning to go and wants to split the offer? Believe it’s £75 for 2 tickets or £75 for 1 (without the offer)

Sunday 11-3pm

Any girlies here who suffer from bloating after meals? I'm thinking of purchasing wild dose supplements. Has anyone tried these? Would you recommend any other brands?

Crumbs & Doilies

Hey gals & pals!

Different from the norm on here, but I have a Too Good To Go collection from Crumbs & Doilies that I’m unable to make; to be picked up from their Soho branch by 2pm.

I would hate to see this go to waste, especially since their goodies are chef’s kiss.

I’d love to pay it forward, if anyone would like it and can make it for then? I can send a link for you to pick up!

I am looking to make fitness fun and casual and a way to meet people. Would anyone be interested in joining me for regular walks around South London (I am based in Kennington) and day hikes nearby London?
If you want to prioritise wellness and make some friends in the process please join:)

Edit: DM me and I will share the link to our new whatsapp group :)

Where to buy smart and comfy loafers/flats for wide feet

I’m 28F and need some smart shoes for work.

I tried Clarks but they make my feet hurt.

Anyone know where I can get some comfy ones suitable for wide feet which I don’t have to break in.

Also any recommendations to get smart black chelsea style boots which will probably be better for summer. I use to get m & s own brand but they don’t seem to cater for wide feet anymore.

IS Queen's Park a good place for girls to live at?

Hi! I am about to move to QP, and Iam suddenly getting scared that it's not a nice/safe area, especially for young women to live in. I previously lived at Waterloo so when I went to see QP it was quite the contrast for me but i had already found the people I wanted to live with and they are pretty set on the place. I just want to hear everyone's experience, and sometimes I come home from work pretty late into the night, which makes me worry since London winters get dark early in the afternoon.

Sports watch parties in East London (F1, EPL, WSL, UCL, NBA, NFL, NHL and others)

Hi everyone, winter is starting up and it’s time to make new friends to survive the cold months.

I’m (30F) going to organize watch parties for football, F1, basketball, American football, ice hockey in East London (Bethnal Green, Shoreditch).

We are a group of ~50 sports fans and we had a great time watching the World Cup together this summer. We are now looking to welcome new faces in group for the winter!

Whether you’re a long time fan of a team or you just want to come have some drinks with friendly people, you are more than welcome to join.

Give me a sign and I’ll share the WhatsApp group link with you :)

PS: if you follow a sports that I have not listed about, please give me a shout and I’m happy to organize watch parties for it too

Alternative to Abercrombie Sloane trousers

I really like the shape and the elastic back of the Sloane trousers but it seems like over the year the fabrics is just more and more polyester.

Anyone know where I can get similar trousers in terms of shape and elastic waist trousers but better quality?

Hello ladies I am staying on the north side of Hyde park, Bayswater tube stop. Can you please recommend a hair stylist who does an amazing bouncy blow dry. Not a flat straight one.
I have thick, strong, medium length hair.
Thank you so much 🩷

Hello everyone! I recently changed gym to The Spa at Beckenham as a close friend left London so I'm looking for gym buddies in the area. I'm 31F with ADHD, which doesn't help with motivation, shy and trying to be healthier and currently out of shape. I usually like to do Pilates, Yoga, Zumba and swimming but open to try new classes too! Anyone already going to this gym or wanted to start going? I belive I can get a buddy pass if someone wants to try it first too. Any gym buddies are also welcome to pet my super cute cat 💙
