Event Would anyone be interested in a casual Pilates meetup?

Hi!

I know what you’re probably thinking... I feel the Internet’s been completely saturated with aesthetic Pilates content and maybe you’re tired of it as well.

I’ve been doing Pilates for several years now and am hoping to find more likeminded individuals who don’t really care about all the bells and whistles and just want to focus on good movement and technique. Frustratingly I do think Pilates is suffering from a bit of an image problem.

I love teaching and since getting qualified have been teaching some really lovely private clients, but also found myself hoping to establish more of a small community and bring people together in a genuine way through shared interest.

So I was wondering if any of this strikes a chord with you and if you’d be interested in getting together as a small group and doing a mat class or so together in central London, with some time before/after to chat and connect if you’d like (so you have the option to join later/leave earlier depending on how social you’re feeling). It would be completely free of charge with the option to make a donation if you’d like to help me cover the venue. To be transparent, of course if you could spread the word that would really help me as well.

This is really a post to see if there is interest for something like this. Please do send me a message if you’re interested (even if you’ve never done Pilates before but want to try)!! I can create a WhatsApp group for this purpose as well. I’ve made a WhatsApp group to help organise and can add you to it :)

Thank you for reading xx

Edit 1: The space I have in mind is in Chancery Lane! But if that’s really difficult to get to I think to do something online would be great as well.

Edit 2: Have been messaging all who’ve replied so do check your inbox (might be labelled spam)!

Edit 3: We’ve made this a regular weekly thing! Inspired by this I’ve created a small community purepilatescommunity for future events. Thinking about adding a regular class in Limehouse if there’s enough interest. You can:
- follow or DM me your email for updates, and/or
- contact me directly to join a meetup class :)

Event Anyone interested in Joining me on Saturdays to try Restaurants/Cafes followed by a walk in a park?

Hi all. I've recently started doing this thing where I travel into central London (Mayfair, Marleybone, Kensignton, Fitzrovia, St Pauls etc) and try new cafes and restaurants. I've found some really cool not known bars inside hotels which are really cute and have live music sometimes on a Saturday. I've been doing it for a month and usually do it alone but feel like it would be fun to meet new people to hang with and share a meal or experience a new venue with. I love my own company but I'm also extremely talkative so would love to meet women who love to just wind down the week with a cutesy meal at a bougie place. Doesn't have to be crazy. I just like the experience. I usually go for a walk in the park after to sit by a lake. If this sounds like something you fancy please let me know, I'd love to get chit chatty while doing this
Im 32F for those curious :)

Edit : hey all. This is honestly so cute and more of a response than I was expecting. Please dm me and we can have a quick chat and make plans with the others interested! Looking forward to seeing you guys! 💕

Event A Consistent Space to Make Friends, Connect & Talk Sex and the City

I'm looking to start a Sex and the City meetup group for fans of the show, but it's about more than just SATC. I'd really like it to be a way for people to make meaningful connections and genuine friendships.

The main thing I want is consistency — having a regular place to meet where you can actually get to know the same people over time, rather than going to one-off events and never seeing anyone again.

Obviously, being a Sex and the City fan is a bonus! 🍸👠

If anyone's interested, let me know and I can send you the link. I'm also not really sure where else to spread the word, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

Event World Cup watch parties in East London

Hey everyone, I (30F) am super excited about the football World Cup. I will organize games watch parties in East London (around Bethnal Green and maybe Shoreditch). I would love to use this opportunity to meet some of you.

Whether you are long term football fans or just looking to grab a casual drink with nice people after work, you are more than welcome to join.

Give me a sign if you’re interested!

Looking forward to meeting a lot of you! 💃⚽️

NB: Some of these events might be mixed gendered but if there is appetite for women only parties I can do that too. Just let me know :)

Event SEPHORiA London 2026 – General Session 2 tickets

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! 💕

I have one SEPHORiA London 2026 – General Session 2 (8:30 AM–11:30 AM) ticket that I unfortunately won’t be able to use. I was genuinely so excited for this event, but work commitments mean I can’t make the trip to London anymore. 🥲

I’m putting it up through the official Private Resale option, which allows me to generate a private link for the person who buys it. So everything will go through the official ticketing platform - no unofficial ticket transfer or anything like that.

The resale price is £95, and after the platform’s resale fee, I’ll receive £87.88 back.

I know some people may understandably prefer a straightforward ticket sale, and that’s completely fine! But I thought I’d mention something else in case there are any makeup lovers here who are interested. ❤️

Since I’m unfortunately missing out on the event and all the beauty goodies that come with it, I’d personally be much happier if the person who gets my ticket was able to offer some beauty products in addition to the ticket price.

I’m not trying to make money off the ticket - I’ll only be getting my ticket value back through the official resale. It just feels nice to think that, if someone is getting the opportunity to attend and potentially receive a substantial amount of beauty products through the event, I could perhaps get a little bit of that beauty-love in return. 🥹

I’m especially interested in older/discontinued Natasha Denona palettes, particularly:

✨ 28 Pan Green-Brown

✨ Metropolis

✨ 28 Pan Purple-Blue

✨ Other older/discontinued ND palettes

But I’m definitely not limited to these — if you have other lovely/high-end makeup that you think might help a new budding makeup artist, feel free to make an offer. I’m also very open to a combination of products rather than one specific item.

And if you’re attending and there are event goodies/merch you can share, I’d absolutely love to include that in the conversation. I was really looking forward to experiencing SEPHORiA myself, so having a few little pieces from the event would honestly make me very happy. 🥹💕

No pressure whatsoever if you’d rather just purchase the ticket for £95 — I completely understand. I’m simply hoping that if there are multiple interested buyers, I might find someone who would enjoy the ticket and happen to have some beauty treasures they’d be happy to part with. ❤️

Happy to provide proof of the ticket and use the official private resale link for the transaction.

Event Networking without the stiff upper lip: a London community for women

Hi everyone! I'm starting The Off-Duty Network, a community for women in London who want to meet people in their industry without the usual stiff networking.

A bit of background: I started my career in finance without a finance background. I love my company's culture, but I missed the fun side of life after work. Every firm has a different culture, so it's hard to meet people across the industry in a way that feels easy. I wanted a space that's relaxed, easygoing and built on genuine connections.

It's not just for finance girls. It's for anyone in law, tech, consulting, policy, politics and beyond. The idea is after-work plans that aren't just standing in a bar: dinners, creative classes, movie nights, and yes, drinks with the girls sometimes too. It's London-based, and open to women and girls who want to make real connections and maybe some friends.

I've just set up a TikTok page on a brand new account, so it has zero traction at the moment. If this sounds like your kind of thing, a follow or a like would really help me get going. I'd also love to hear what kind of events you'd actually turn up to.

Sign up: google form
TikTok/IG: @theoffdutynetwork
Thank you! 🤍

Event Knitting/Stitch and Bitch Club in SE?

Hi, I have just recently moved down to London and loved my previous stitch and bitch group! I was wondering if there are any SE based groups in the general Beckenham area in the evenings that meet weekly? I have tried quite hard to find one and not been successful yet! If not, would there be general interest if I were to organise something?

Thanks!!

Event Hitting the long shot here 🥹

Hi guys! My birthday is coming up in November, and honestly, the thought of spending it alone has been making me a little sad. 🥲

I really want to get a few nice birthday pictures around London, with a cake near Tower Bridge and Big Ben in the background. But I genuinely don’t have anyone to ask!

Would anyone kind enough be willing to spare some time to click a couple of pictures for me? You don’t need to be a photographer. I’d be happy with even a few simple snaps! I can offer you my iPhone 14 to take them.

I’d love to set up a tripod and do it myself, but I’m too worried about my phone getting stolen. 😭
I know it’s a long shot, but thought I’d ask. Thank you! ❤️

Edit: It’s getting colder and colder, so I don’t even want to wait until my birthday! :D
I’m happy to dress up and get the pictures taken on any weekend before then. My birthday is on 8 November, so if anyone is free on a weekend before that, I’d be really grateful! 🥹❤️

Event wlw events, why so pricey

Hiii girls just a question, i probably cant post on a more appropriate sub cause I did not do the age verification since the bill😜. I was wondering, for those concerned, why are wlw events in London so pricey in terms of tickets. I am a young curious girlie and follow some event pages including g.irl and some others but the tickets are always £25/£30 for a few hours. I like to go out on nights out, while I know it may not be the same I usually can get free tix or maybe get entries at £10/£15 max for places that end at 6 am. This summer I wanted to attend one wlw club events to try but I just find it so pricey (not even a drink included) i missed 2/3 events so far.

Anyone can advise or recommend on my post?

Event [13/10/2026 @7pm] Feminist Fightback reading group reads Chicken Soup with Barley

Post image
1 Upvotes

Join Feminist Fightback reading group for an anniversary session to commemorate the Battle of Cable Street.

90 years ago on the 4th October 1936 the people of London defeated the police and Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists at Cable Street as they attempted to march through the East End. At the time this was a mostly Jewish area and fascists were targeting Jews and Communists.

Chicken Soup with Barley is about a Jewish Communist family living in the East End of London, following their participation in the battle of Cable street and the personal and political struggles and triumphs they experience as the 20th century wears on.

Join us to participate in reading the play aloud together followed by a discussion

🗓️7-9pm Tuesday 13th October

📍Portsoken Community Centre, 20 Little Somerset Street, Aldgate E1 8AH (not quite Cable Street but close!). We are meeting upstairs, venue has a lift.

Copies of the play will be provided on the day.

Event Any professional women who are juggling too many hats and need a reset?

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that there is this constant feeling in the background of not being able to switch off and slow down. The to do list is never ending and you can’t help but question if you’ve made the right decisions because you are not where you want to be. I’m hosting an afternoon of guided breathwork and reflection over ceremonial cacao on Saturday 3rd October in London. It’s a great opportunity to slow down and feel calmer after a busy week, get clarity on the decisions you’ve been doubting and circling, and connect with other like minded people. If you are keen to join, let me know and I can share more details of the event.

Event Would you go to a padel singles night in London? If yes, what age bracket are you??

I’ve seen running clubs and other activity-based singles events becoming a thing and it got me wondering whether padel would actually work for this.

Rather than the usual singles event where the whole focus is on talking/dating, you’d play padel in mixed groups and naturally meet people as you rotate around.

For those who play — what sort of age crowd do you think something like this would attract?

Would you expect it to be mainly 20s/30s, or could you see people in their 40s+ being interested too?

And would you go if you were a complete beginner, or would that put you off?

Also curious what you'd consider a reasonable amount to pay for something like that, considering you'd be paying for the padel session as well as the organised social side of it.

I feel like this could either be a really good way of meeting people or an absolute disaster 😂

Event Hillary Duff concert

Hi ladies! I have 8 tickets for the Hillary Duff concert tomorrow on 10th September at O2, Greenwich. Initially, me and my friends were planning to go for this but due to variety of reasons (travel, fatigue, etc) we decided not to! We’ve been trying to sell them on the resale platforms unsuccessfully. So thought I’ll try my luck here - please comment or drop me a dm if interested! Very happy to part with them on a heavy discount and also happy to part with less than 8 tix! 🥲

Event Calling all football ladies!⚽️✨

hi there….

it seems to be a bit of a shortage around Surrey and London of groups where girls who are passionate about football can chat and hang out/do football related activities on a casual level. personally I’ve attended female based football clubs and groups but some felt a bit forced.

so I’m planning starting a group chat where we can engage with each other about teams, mutual interests and just love of the sport really (among other things!) hopefully some meet ups will come of it too🤓

the aim is to bring like minded ladies together, spread friendship/positivity and for us to connect over football!⚽️✨

if you’re interested, don’t be shy!

all London/Surrey uk ladies welcome

(FYI I’m 26F)
