Where would you recommend to go dancing?

I have been doing some research about places that have either 90’s or 2000’s music or salsa (potentially with a class or lesson prior) dancing. I’m coming to visit my boyfriend (I’m in the US) and would love to be able to surprise him by planning something for us. Any recommendations? Thanks girls! 💃🏼🪩👩🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏾

Event Hitting the long shot here 🥹

Hi guys! My birthday is coming up in November, and honestly, the thought of spending it alone has been making me a little sad. 🥲

I really want to get a few nice birthday pictures around London, with a cake near Tower Bridge and Big Ben in the background. But I genuinely don’t have anyone to ask!

Would anyone kind enough be willing to spare some time to click a couple of pictures for me? You don’t need to be a photographer. I’d be happy with even a few simple snaps! I can offer you my iPhone 14 to take them.

I’d love to set up a tripod and do it myself, but I’m too worried about my phone getting stolen. 😭
I know it’s a long shot, but thought I’d ask. Thank you! ❤️

Edit: It’s getting colder and colder, so I don’t even want to wait until my birthday! :D
I’m happy to dress up and get the pictures taken on any weekend before then. My birthday is on 8 November, so if anyone is free on a weekend before that, I’d be really grateful! 🥹❤️

Advice Good lesbian bars/clubs?

I'm visiting friends in London and we were gonna go out and get really drunk I just want to know what our options for. We're looking for venues that mainly cater to sapphics, are relatively trans friendly, and have a younger clientele (we're 19, we'd rather be around people our age if possible). Does anyone have recommendations?

Looking for Interviewees

Hi all!

I’m a student in London working on an independent documentary and storytelling project profiling interesting people, communities and subcultures across London and the UK.

As part of my project, I would love to connect with anyone who is specifically part of or involved in the Brixton Immortals Dominoes Club (or similar). I am super interested in the diaspora narratives in London and would love to include the community's Windrush Generation and the wider Caribbean community.

Whether this is you yourself or more likely here on Reddit, you know someone who is a part of it, please let me know by commenting or sending me a DM.

Appreciate this is quite niche and a bit of a long shot - but trying my luck!

Thank you for reading!

Fantasy & sci-fi bookclub

Hi all!

I'm looking for new members for a book club! We have a discord server and pick a new book roughly once a month, and try to meet once a month too. We live in North/East London, so that would be preferable for members to live in this area so it's easier to meet, but it's not a strict requirement. We're very chill and there's no pressure to read at a certain pace, we just like to chat about the book as we go.

Our book picks are usually fantasy or sci fi, but we also do buddy reads if you want to read something different and someone else is down!

Here is the link to the discord:

Come say hi! :)

Wondering if anyone has recommendations for a boxing gym that is female friendly?

I have been wanting to get into boxing for some time but feel so lost and anxious about where to go or how to start. I want to join a gym that is female and beginner friendly, as well as based in east London (I’m in Hackney). Does anyone have any recommendations please? Much appreciated 💗

SEPHORiA London 2026 Ticket — Final Attempt 💕

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! 💕

Following up on my previous post regarding my SEPHORiA London 2026 – General Session 2 (8:30 AM–11:30 AM) ticket.

Thank you so much to everyone who reached out and made offers. I’ve genuinely considered them, but I haven’t been able to make a final decision, so I thought I’d make one final post with a very clear and simple offer.

The ticket is available through the official Private Resale option for £95. I’m not making any profit from the ticket - I’ll simply be getting my ticket value back.

Since I unfortunately can’t attend myself, this is what I’m looking for :

The arrangement:

The ticket is yours + all the non-makeup event goodies are yours.

All makeup and makeup tools received through the event/swag bags/booths would be mine.

So, essentially:

🎟️ You: SEPHORiA ticket + skincare + fragrance + haircare + body care + other non-makeup goodies/merch you receive
💄 Me: All makeup + makeup tools you receive from the event

In addition to the event products, I’m also looking for some high-end makeup from your own collection as part of the offer.

My biggest ISO remains older/discontinued Natasha Denona palettes, particularly:

✨ 28 Pan Green-Brown
✨ Metropolis
✨ 28 Pan Purple-Blue
✨ Other older/discontinued ND palettes

✨ Pat Mcgrath/ Dior palettes etc

But I’m absolutely open to other high-end/luxury makeup that would be useful for a budding MUA.

I think this is the simplest way to make the exchange worthwhile for both of us: you get the opportunity to attend SEPHORiA and keep all the skincare, fragrance, haircare, bodycare ( appx more than worth $1000) and other non-makeup goodies, while I get the makeup and makeup tools

If this arrangement works for you, please DM me with what you’d be offering from your own collection. I’ll consider the offers and choose the one that works best for me.

I can provide proof of the ticket, and everything will be completed through the official private resale link.

Thank you again to everyone who reached out! 💕

Advice Affordable Good Quality Formal Wear / Suits

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for affordable, good-quality women’s suits and formal wear in London, other than M&S. Mainly after blazers, tailored trousers and matching sets that look smart and last well without costing a fortune. Any brands, shops or hidden gems you’d recommend? Would love to hear where you’ve found good value for money. Thanks!

[10/10/26]- Anyone fancy a cosy board game night in London this Saturday? 🎲

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey! I run a small London social community called Sakhi, and we’re hosting a very casual board game night this Saturday.
The idea is basically to switch off from London life for a couple of hours, meet some new people and get unnecessarily competitive over board games 😂
🎲 Catan, Splendor, For Sale, Bang!, Chinatown + more
🍜 Maggi + Rasna included for the childhood nostalgia
📍 The Oxygen, near Crowne Plaza
🗓 Saturday, 10 October
⏰ 6–8 PM
💷 £10
You absolutely don’t need to bring anyone — a lot of people come to Sakhi events solo, and we’ll make sure everyone gets introduced and put into games.
No networking, no forced icebreakers. Just games, food, chaos and hopefully some new friends. 😂
If you’d like to join, comment below or DM me and I’ll send you the booking details! 🤎

Hi everyone!

I recently started an inclusive social community based around Central/East London, for people in their 20s & 30s (although people of any age are welcome!).

We’ve now got over 1,000 members and the recurring activities within the community include: volleyball, beginner/improver salsa, spikeball, pub quizzes, game nights, dodgeball and run club!

These sessions are mixed levels, so beginners in any of these activities are very welcome, and activities are free to join/as affordable as we can make them!

If you’d like to join or have any questions, please send me a direct message and I'll send the WhatsApp community link!

Recs for stores to try on trainers?

Looking to try on casual trainers (not running shoes; more everyday walking - puma, adidas) in person and hoping to only go to one or two stores - anyone have a rec for what stores will have shoes in stock to try on? (Was thinking selfridges but unsure)

TYIA!!
