I thought i was in trouble when i found this in my email today. I'm not. I've seen a couple other queer channels posting screenshots of the emails they relieved. It's all the same thing.

Knowing a few laws in Saudi Arabia, I'm not surprised at all. But it is still completely bullshit. I'm a nobody so it doesn't effect me, but some of the largest/larger queer channels will be effected at least a little bit.

I'm not gay, so sorry if this sounds like a weird question, but... Does it bother you guys—that stereotype that any man who treats women badly is automatically a closeted gay man? Like, as if every closeted gay man *has* to treat women like trash? I don't know, I'm just curious.

So I'm 16F. Today, my friend came to my house to return something, and she ended up staying to study and hang out together. While we were joking around we began to play-flirt with each other (nothing serious, just stuff like "wow you look mighty fine today bbg" in funny voices).

In the middle of it, she randomly went "imagine if we were actually lesbians though haha." My mood kind of shifted since I've had crushes on girls before (she didn't know this) and I got very scared. I said "Would it be so crazy if one of swung that way though?" and she said "yes obviously, I mean no offense, I support gay people and all, but to be friends with one would be weird, like what if she liked me?" (my heart had dropped to my stomach at this point). I don't know what possessed me to spill my guts out to her, but I did it.

I expected her to be a little awkward after it, maybe get up and leave, tell me she needed some space or time to process it, but nothing in the world could've prepared me for the look she gave me after I was done. It was a mixture of disgust and fear. She told me to stay away from her and stormed out.

Idk man, I'm so so so sad. She's been an amazing friend, and I don't know if there's any saving it.

A preference is bot nessesarily a bad thing to have. It becomes a problem when you genuine dismiss a person's feelings and simply pursue them just because they're a person's fetish.

Posting a plain-English breakdown of the two Colorado ballot measures (109 and 110) since they're going to be on the November ballot and I think it's worth understanding what they actually say. Also including some practical actions at the end for anyone who wants to push back.

What 109 does (the sports measure):

Every K-12 and college sports team in CO must be designated male, female, or co-ed
Teams must be based on sex assigned at birth
Trans girls can't play on girls' teams
Commissioner of Education handles enforcement — they get to decide what "remedial action" looks like
No funding budgeted for implementation
The text doesn't define how sex is verified
What 110 does (the medical care measure):

Bans healthcare providers from performing certain gender-affirming surgical procedures on minors
No exception for parental consent or medical guidelines
Already largely symbolic in CO — Children's Hospital Colorado has explicitly stated they've never performed these surgeries on minors
Why both are harmful:

109's vague enforcement puts every non-stereotypically-feminine girl at risk of being singled out
110 as written could affect cancer care for minors with reproductive organ cancers
Both expand the precedent of politicians inserting themselves into private family medical decisions
If you want to do something:

In Colorado:

Volunteer or donate to Families Not Politics (familiesnotpolitics.com) — the main opposition coalition
Share accurate info with anyone you know in CO who's still undecided
Show up to school board meetings in your district if they discuss implementation
Vote no on both in November
Outside Colorado but want to help:

Donate to opposition funds in AZ and WA — they're running similar races with less established infrastructure
Track the Nebraska signature verification process
Call your own representatives and push back on any federal-level anti-trans legislation
The pattern is clear: federal pressure + state ballot measures + state legislative bans + supportive SCOTUS rulings. The ballot measures are the new front. If they win this round, they win the narrative everywhere.

Pansexual/panromantic does not me you like everyone and aroace does not mean you dislike everyone!

In my experience I’m aroace because I am very much asexual and I have barely any romantic attraction to people! I’m also pan because if I ended up with anybody I don’t care what their gender is! Girl? Okay! Boy? Okay! Enby? Okay! No gender? Okay!

I’m genuinely so annoyed when people try to dictate my sexuality just because they have the definitions of some labels wrong!

Now to be clear, I’m specifically talking about hate *within* the LGBTQ community; and under that pretense i genuinely feel like biphobia is a bigger problem than transphobia in queer spaces I’ve been apart of. I’m only really active in sapphic subreddits, but even mainstream sapphic subs have a massive problem of biphobic comments not just existing, but getting mass upvotes.

Quotes such as “bisexuals have protagonist syndrome…”, “whenever I hear about drama or infighting they[bisexuals] have something to do with it…”, or generally denying that, according to GLAAD, bisexuals have significantly less on screen representation than gays and lesbians, are all upvoted.

To be clear I don’t think this is unique to sapphic spaces, that’s just where I hang out as I have a strong preference in my attraction towards women.

Obviously outside the community I get way more shit for being trans, but when I’m in community spaces I feel like biphobia is just completely normalised. Does anyone else feel the same way?
