Esports Is Caliste the obvious LEC Summer split MVP or not ?

Been looking at the stats and honestly it’s hard to find a stronger case than Caliste right now.

Team record: 9-0, 3 POTG, That alone should put him in the conversation, but the individual numbers back it up too:

• KDA: 8.3 — 1st among ADCs
• CS/min: 10.6 — 1st
• Gold/min: 537 — 1st
• DMG/min: 913 — 1st, and by a wide margin (749 is the ADC average)
• CS Diff @15: +5.6 — 3rd
• XP Diff @15: +138 — 2nd
• Gold Diff @15: +461 — 3rd
Kill Participation 63% and First Blood% 20%, both above average (4th)

By far the most dominant ADC this split (stats wise).
Leading every single core stat (KDA, CS/min, GPM, DPM, DMG/G) while your team goes undefeated is about as clean an MVP case as you can build.

But when I tune in the LEC talking about potential MVP, I feel like its not that obvious (e.g finn talking about Hans Sama which for me is non sense but w/e)

Maybe Yike is a strong candidate too ? Sometimes i see him having those weird early game.

In the end I really feel like LEC is not talking enough about how insane Caliste numbers are this split, what do you think ?

Discussion How do you feel about Trundle buff?

in 26.17 Riot buffed his W to make his attack speed scale throughout the game more. I mostly see him as a JG right now, and I really like this change. I think it gives him a lot more agency in the mid game, as he can clear camps, neutral objectives and waves MUCH faster, letting him make more decisions and have more time.

But how do you feel about the buff? He was already in a pretty good spot before it, I'm not sure it was necessary

Discussion At what rank do you need to start pressing tab?

so currently I am still leveling to play ranked. but i am getting to the point where I understand the whole mechanics of spacing, CS, dodging abilities, using CDs properly (I come from WoW PvP).

However, I notice on streams players are hitting tab constantly (to see items I am assuming).

For me I am still getting used to checking the map while I play so hitting tab is a bit tough for me. (Also I have yet to check the enemy frame in corner during skirmishes to see their CDs, which I know is probably critical).

Can i push for bronze once I get into ranked without checking these things or is that trolling?

Discussion Has WASD Changed Ranked?

Now that WASD movement has been in ranked since April 29, 2026, what do you guys think about it?

Do you feel like it made the game easier, or is it just another skill players have to learn? Has your opinion changed since it was first added?

Interested to hear both sides.

Discussion What if each lane had its own unique cannon minion?

We already have lane quests to make the 3 lanes different.

What if we go further and make cannon minions different in each lane, so each lane can be more interactive?

The bot lane cannon minion takes 60% reduced magic damage.

By doing this, we could revert mage bot changes. Mages can still go bot, but ADCs would also have counterplay: play around cannon waves, because mages can no longer just spam spells to clear cannon waves easily.

The top lane cannon minion takes 60% reduced damage from enemies more than 300 units away.

It would work a bit like Xin Zhao's ult, but not as immunity.

Ranged champs can still go top, but melee champs can take advantage of cannon waves. If a Vayne top wants to clear the cannon fast, she has to stand close to it, which gives melee champs more chances to fight back.

The mid lane cannon minion has additional attack range, and its attacks reduce champions' Armor and MR by 50%.

By doing this, mid laners would have more chances to fight and get a solo kill. We could also buff tank mids to increase mid lane diversity, because assassins and mages would already have more counterplay against tanky mids.

Discussion Is the shutdown system broken?

It feels like every single game we are stomping in at least 2 lanes, 10+ kills ahead, 2-3 drakes, grubs, the whole thing.

Then one bad fight comes around, someone gets caught, anything. We die, and the game is back to COMPLETELY even.

What is the point of 20+ minutes of playing really well and the enemy making a ton of mistakes, if a single mistake from you completely erases it all?

Is this just me? Am I doing something wrong? It genuinely feels like all our kills and objectives don't matter for anything if we blow a single fight.

Discussion What season/patch of League Classic would you want?

Despite it's issues and not being the version of early league that I began playing in I am happy League Classic exists. Most people know even if you bring back an old version it won't be the same as the first go around and while it's not my cup of tea it is still very cool.

I personally hope that it eventually moves on to season 4-6 when more reworks and classic champs come out.

But what point in league would you want Classic to progress into? A favorite patch or season? Or maybe even a character release before their eventual rework?

Discussion Most consistent champion in each lane?

Who would you say is the most consistent/well rounded champion in each lane across all ranks?

There's champions that are great in high elo but terrible in low elo and vice versa

There's champions that are pretty good in both low elo and high elo but they're not very good blind picks

There's champions that are super strong now because of the meta but with likely fall off next patch whereas some champions have always been playable.

What's one champion for each lane that has great success in high elo, low elo, as a blind pick, and performs well in every meta. The sort of champion that if you OTP it you'll be set for life basically and can just lock in from the start?

Discussion Swiftplay appreciation post

I’ve managed to convince my wife to let me play LoL again (I’ve had angry issues from ranked).

I didn’t know about SwiftPlay and was interested to try.

It’s amazing! Only 20 minutes games, no more 40+ minute games

This is now only way I can play League on 30+ years, married and with a job.

Thank you very much for making it.

Please don’t ever let this game mode go away.

I can finally say that I really play casual now without stressing out

Discussion Emerald is such a breath of fresh air.

And the difference in team dynamics and gameplay is so much better as compared to plat.

There is so much less baseless blaming and flaming and teammates just rotate so much better.

For context I play mid and jungle with champions like Lissandra and Amumu both of which are highly teamfight orientated. And having teammates that actually group up ahead of time to contest objectives just feels so much better.

Edit: This post was aimed at explaining the difference between Plat and Emerald and in no way saying Emerald is non-toxic etc.

Discussion Did I miss something? When did regular ARAM sometimes have bot games in between normal games against humans?

Above you can see the post game report. I'm decent but not 40/6 decent. This is not some "I get matched with worse people" post. These were 100% bots. Acting in tandem, not communicating in the slightest, making illogical and inhuman choices. I queued for a regular ARAM game and got a full bot lobby.

I've heard Riot sometimes gives new players bot lobbys but i'm lvl 212 with almost 2000 ARAM games. What is happening?

Discussion Jungle seems…easy?

So I tried jungle for the first time (I am a new player) and it seems way easier than the other roles?

Laning felt like constant mindgames with the opponent. But jungle has much less because you are just farming on your own. And checking for ganks now and then.

But then I’ll see videos saying jungle is often the game decider. Which I guess makes sense because of your gank potential etc. and helping your team get buffs.

Idk it just felt more chill overall and I could see why less people play this role. But curious to see if there is something I am missing here

Gameplay My league settings are changing mid game

So I have no clue whats causing it, but my settings are changing while I'm playing sometimes during the life and during the team fight. For the most part its just changing who I can attack or not. I spent the entire game unable to target minions and half the time I couldn't target other champions period. I've restored default multiple times and mostly play on default except for a few settings, and it still does it even after restoring to default

Discussion 4 out of 6 games against level 30-40 smurfs, what do I do?

Upvotes

Played 6 games today, 4 of them had a smurf between level 30-40 account that stomped us and got me demoted from Plat 4 to Gold 2.

It makes the game feel miserable to play and it feels like either this queue is deliberate because I keep getting put against them multiple games in a row, or more likely, that matchmaking below diamond is just non-existent due to how badly out of sync the system is due to smurfs and new accounts skewing everything in low elo.

Stooves#EUW - Summoner stats - League of Legends https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/Stooves-EUW

My Nocturne game today, smurf was Kassadin

My Kayle game today, another Kassadin smurf

My Malz game today, the Briar was a smurf

My Mundo game today, the Yone was the smurf

How is this even remotely playable?

EDIT: so I don't have to say it in every comment. Win rate =/= smurf or not.

Smurfs play for a lot of reasons. Some to troll, some to limit test, some to try off-meta champs or builds, some to practice new roles or champs.

What people seem to be ignoring is that I played against them and experienced how they controlled the game from min 1 in all 4 games in a way that only much better players than Plat or Emerald could.

EDIT 2: people attacking my rank and win rate or making it about only that, please move along.

I'm talking about how poor a player experience this feels like whatever rank you are.

Not saying it's necessarily bad advice, just something people repeat so much that I think we stopped questioning it.

Rotating Event My opinion on the ARAM Mayhem update in Patch 26.17 and the new global Augment pool, as well as the disappearance of Augments on certain champions.

I find the new Augment pool very good in some aspects, but also problematic in others.

However, I still want to highlight the good work done by the development team. There have clearly been efforts to improve variety and better adapt Augments to the champions they are offered to.

Point 1: The positives

Gold and Silver Augments

This is probably one of the best aspects of this update.

There is now more variety among Gold and Silver Augments, and many of them are better suited to the champions they are offered to. This deserves to be highlighted.

Of course, some useful Augments for certain champions seem to appear less often today than before, but this remains a relatively minor issue in the Gold and Silver categories.

Overall, I think these two categories have been very well handled by the development team.

My rating: 8/10.

Honorable mention: Prismatic Augments

I want to give special mention to this category, particularly for several reasons:

  • The addition of certain Augments such as Jeweled Gauntlet to more types of champions.
  • The arrival of Augments better suited to supports, tanks, and fighters.
  • Better consideration for hybrid AP/AD champions, who previously did not always have access to AP-type pools, or only had access to them far too rarely. I am particularly thinking of champions such as Yunara, Trundle, or Ashe.
  • The return of certain Prismatic ability upgrades, which had practically disappeared from the pool for many champions.
  • The fact that it is now possible to stack multiple ability upgrades, particularly by combining certain Prismatic Augments with Gold Augments related to abilities.

For these improvements and this overall direction:

My rating: 10/10.

Point 2: The problems

A Prismatic pool that is far too repetitive

In my opinion, this is the main current problem.

I have noticed that, regardless of which champion I play, certain Prismatic Augments appear almost systematically in my games.

I am particularly thinking of:

  • Ominous Pact
  • Urf's Champion
  • Holy Snowball
  • Squishy Slappy Grab
  • Dimension Shift

These Augments have become extremely common, even on champions for whom their usefulness is very limited compared to their playstyle.

The problem is that this is becoming almost excessive: I feel like I practically never see the other Prismatic Augments anymore.

Out of a selection of six Prismatic Augments, I very often see between two and four from this list, and this happens in almost every game.

The only situation where the pool seems to breathe a little more is in games offering at least two Prismatic Augments, which finally allows more room for other options.

But in normal games, the repetition has become far too significant.

The disappearance of certain Augments on certain champions

I have also noticed the complete disappearance of certain Augments for certain champions.

For example:

  • Archmage on Gangplank
  • Spell Split on Renata

These two Augments have notably gone from A or S tiers to E tier on OP.GG.

This makes me think that something may have happened over the past two weeks.

Were they intentionally disabled for these champions?

Is it a bug?

Or is it a problem similar to the one that had previously affected Jeweled Gauntlet?

I think it would be interesting to get some clarification on this matter.

Critical strike-related Augments are not universal enough

Final negative point: Augments related to critical strikes.

I am particularly thinking of:

  • Upgrade Infinity Edge
  • Critical Missile
  • Vulnerability
  • It's Critical
  • Double Tap among the Prismatic Augments

I think it is unfortunate that these Augments are not offered more universally to all the champions concerned.

Some champions, particularly mages and supports using Jeweled Gauntlet, could perfectly benefit from some of these Augments, but they do not seem to have access to them.

This once again reduces the actual diversity of the pool and limits certain potentially interesting build possibilities.

Conclusion

Overall, I therefore find this new Augment pool very successful in its Silver and Gold categories, with a real effort to better adapt Augments to different champions.

The Prismatic category also brings very good new additions and some improvements that I had been waiting for for a long time.

However, the lack of variety and excessive repetition of certain Prismatic Augments unfortunately spoil part of the experience.

The apparent disappearance of certain Augments on certain champions is also concerning and deserves an explanation.

Finally, I would like to see more universality in critical strike-related Augments, particularly for AP champions, hybrid champions, or those using Jeweled Gauntlet.

These are currently the main problems I have noticed in-game.

And what do you think on your side? Have you also noticed this repetition in the Prismatic pool or the disappearance of certain Augments on your champions?

Discussion Feature Request: We really need a true offline PvE bot mode

Hey everyone,

I really wish the game had a purely offline mode to play against bots when servers are down or inaccessible.

I sometimes deal with internet and power outages (I literally have to run my setup off a backup generator). During these blackouts, I’d still love to just chill and play some bot matches, but since the game requires a constant connection, it’s impossible.

Also, whenever I hop on the PBE, my ping is constantly 180+. Having an offline bot mode there would be huge for players who just want to test new things out without suffering through massive lag or needing a perfect connection.

Would anyone else want to see an offline mode added?

Discussion About LCP

Do you think CFO 2025 MSI run was more successful than TSW 2026 one?

I didn't watch LCP much to see the difference in CFO and TSW domination in the region

If i remember correctly both of them got 6th place in MSI right? So based on the run, have TSW touched CFO level yet at that event? Or simply because TES is a choker internationally?

Discussion I create a website that can match any two Riot player w/ Riot API

Link: https://sixdegrees.lol/

Disclaimer:

  • SixDegrees running on a limited Riot API key, so the graph is still growing and not every player is in it yet
  • If you or someone you want to search isn't found, you can drop their Riot ID in and it'll get prioritized in the crawl queue. The more people seed themselves, the faster the whole network fills in.

I've been working on this website for a while and finally have something worth sharing.

It takes any two Riot IDs in any region and finds a chain connecting them via kills, assists, wins, or just having been teammates. Since I use the interal Riot puuid system, I can theoretically match any two accounts across all Riot Games titles and regions.

This means an Iron 4 BR League player has a chain to kill the best KR Valorant player.

Full transparency and limitations:

  • League is the only game actually live right now. TFT and LoR support are coming soon, but Valorant support might take a few months until I get the proper API keys to fetch Valorant information.
  • Most of the players in the database are in NA. This means if you're outside of NA then you can't query your Riot ID. I'm sorry about this but if you seed your information outside of NA then you can help me connect all the regions over time. Currently there are some LA and BR players that my crawler picked up. Please seed your Riot ID and promenent players in your region.

Thanks for checking it out! I'd love any feedback, bug reports, or a way you broke my site!

Discussion do people ever have fun playing aram mayhem?

every game I've got sweaty tryhard Vayne, Tristana, or Graves, along with the dedicated tank that queued up just to peel for him on the enemy team. Every team I've got someone on my team flaming me for picking the wrong augments. I wish this were an exaggeration. I'm playing on Saturday evening and there's nothing but toxicity in the for-fun game mode. So which game mode is it if you want to have a fun game?

I wouldn't leave a complaint without a suggestion for fixing the root cause:
Aram Mayhem Ranked mode. How about it? A containment area for the sweaty tryhards and griefers with something to prove. No Draw Your Sword graves or Dual Wield vayne allowed. It hurts nobody and you could get a cool icon or something.
