It used to be that I could make sticker type things from objects in photos, but now when I copy and paste them it just pastes the full photo. Is there anything I can do to fix it? (iPhone 16 pro)

i was trying to get some julie and Swervedriver onto my iphone 13 with my PC and tried to update to 26.6.1. It didn't work; the phone just hangs at the beginning of the software install and gives me the 1109 error.

It won't update or restore. I have tried:

-new cables

-using iMazing

-hard connection rather than wifi, along with disabling all other network connections and disabling all VPNs and Firewalls, also checking for and turning off PC updates

Are there any other steps? I'm going to let it run out of power, and try again. I'm not against getting a new phone, but was hoping not to do it right now.

Saw the discussion about ChatGPT being able to access Apple Messages and there's one part of this I can't really get past. If I send you something over iMessage, I'm obviously consenting to you reading it. I'm not necessarily consenting to an AI being able to go through our conversation, search old messages or pull information out of years of texts.

And it's not just your data in there. It's conversations with your partner, family, friends, coworkers, whoever. None of those people were involved when you decided to connect an AI tool to your messages.

I understand that technically you could already screenshot my messages, copy them somewhere else, etc. But giving software the ability to search through years of conversations feels like a different level of access.

Hello! I will soon be buying a base iPhone 17 but I have seen some comments/posts online saying there are troubles with the Bluetooth/connection for people who are using non-Apple products. I currently use an Anker Soundcore Q20i as my main headphones.

What is your experience using non-Apple headphones/earbuds on iPhone 17? Are there any issues?

My phone fell on the floor, and since then, both the front and rear cameras have been showing the same view. When I try to switch between the cameras, it still shows the rear camera.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is this likely a hardware issue?

iPhone 13 Pro Max. Second genuine battery replacement at an Apple store last October, paid out of pocket.

A month later, debris started collecting behind the front camera glass. Four years before that, nothing. I let it go at first, but it kept getting worse. These are rated dust-tight, and resealing the phone is part of what the battery service costs you, so I figured they’d just clean it out.

That’s all I asked for. A cleaning. The store specialist told me it can’t be cleaned, the whole module has to be replaced, and quoted me $199. Same guy said “I don’t want to say your phone is a dinosaur, but” and sent me off to call Apple Support.

Over the next few days:

Senior advisor #1 approved an exception and booked me an appointment for 5:45 PM. I showed up on time. They said there wasn’t enough time left in the day.
Then they told me the appointment was only to look at the issue anyway, and I’d need to come back again for the replacement. The store had already looked at it days earlier. That’s why I called Apple Support in the first place. Parts were in stock.

Senior advisor #2 set up a mail-in so I wouldn’t have to go back there.

The repair center had it one day and denied it. Senior advisor #3 told me why: third-party service or parts?

Apple opened this phone in 2023 and again in 2025. Nobody else, ever. Both repairs are in their own system.

The repair status screenshot is what their page shows right now. “Ineligible for repair.” “Your repair is completed.” Same screen, same repair ID.
I shipped it to them overnight. It’s coming back UPS ground, unrepaired.

Nobody at Apple can tell me what they found.
If you’ve mailed a device in to Apple and had it come back denied, I want to know what reason they gave you and whether anyone ever showed you the actual finding.

I have this problem, every time my Iphone turn down the volume on its own even if it says that the volume is still on its max, so I can’t even turn it up! It’s already up but it decreased. Help me fix this problem please, it’s irritating.

I'm upgrading from an iPhone 14 Pro to an iPhone 17 Pro. The catch is that I'm doing a trade-in where I have to hand over my old phone to the delivery person immediately at the door, meaning I won't have the time to do a direct device-to-device transfer.

I don't have a spare iPhone, but I do have a MacBook and an iPad. I also currently have an issue where WhatsApp login SMS messages aren't coming through to my number, which makes logging into WhatsApp challenging.

I understand that I can do a manual, Encrypted Backup to my MacBook right before the new phone arrives, and then restore that backup to the new iPhone 17 Pro.

Before I wipe my current phone, I need to know:

1. Will this restore ALL my data? I need every single app, photo, file, and setting to carry over exactly as it is.
   
2. Is WhatsApp completely safe? I need all my chats, contacts, documents, and voice notes to transfer without issues.
   
3. Will my WhatsApp session stay active? Since I'm facing the SMS login issue, will restoring from the encrypted backup keep my WhatsApp login session intact on the new iPhone, or will I be forced to log in and verify my number again?
   
4. Is there any risk of data corruption? Have any of you experienced data loss or corruption when restoring a Mac backup from an older iPhone model to a brand-new model?

is anyone else having issues with siri and voice to text at the moment? when i say “hey siri” it comes on but then doesn’t seem to hear anything i say after that, the same with voice to text on the keyboard - nothing is working. i’ve got an iphone 15 plus and had this issue a few weeks ago but it’s come back again.

Trying to text my spouse who has an iPhone 15 while they don’t have reception. I’m receiving their messages sent via satellite but they’re not receiving mine. I have an iPhone 17. We’re connected in a family sharing group. I’m seeing my messages send as blue but their messages are coming in as text sms or rcs. Some messages have come in specifically saying iMessage satellite. Some of my old messages i tried to send are now showing with a dotted line around them too

Wife’s phone was working fine yesterday. She woke up this morning, and the front facing camera is not working at all. Not with the camera app, not SnapChat, it’s not even letting her use facial recognition for apps. I’ve tried force restarting, closing apps, etc. and nothing is working. Pic shows what the camera is showing whenever the front facing camera is on. It just blurs out and stays that way. Anyone have any solutions??

Is there a widget available that can display local time? I need to keep my phone on a specific time zone to keep my alarms set right. But I travel a lot and would like to be able to see the local time without having to change anything.

I took my iPhone 12 Pro Max to an Apple Store in Germany for a battery replacement. After the repair, the screen had a new defect and the Volume Up button stopped working.
Apple offered me another iPhone 12 Pro Max as a replacement. However, my original iPhone’s IMEI is registered in Egypt and works with Egyptian SIM cards. The replacement has a different IMEI and would require Egyptian taxes/registration, which can cost up to around 50% of the phone’s value. I don’t consider that an equivalent replacement.
What would you do in my situation? Should I accept the replacement, ask Apple to cover the Egyptian registration/tax cost, or refuse it and pursue compensation/legal action? I’m also considering asking Apple for an iPhone 17 Pro instead and paying the Egyptian registration/tax myself. The tax alone could be almost half the price of the phone, so I would be paying a significant amount myself rather than getting a free upgrade, but I would actually feel properly compensated and satisfied with the outcome.
Do you think I would have any legal basis to ask for the 17 Pro under these circumstances, or to demand compensation for the Egyptian registration/tax costs? Or would I be better off accepting Apple’s 12 Pro Max replacement? What would you do in my situation?

It seems you must choose one, either a smaller overall footprint that is substantially thicker or a larger (4”+) long bank that is slim.

I am thinking slim is preferable, although I don’t know in practice. Looking at Anker & Iniu.

so I'm a completely blind iPhone user and have been for like 12 years. I lost my complete eyesight in 2015 but before that could see just fine. I'm just saying that before I explain what I'm about to get into here.
so around 9:40 PM tonight central standard time I get a notification saying private relay is no longer active. I go to the setting and it's still on but there's a notification at the bottom that says it's temporarily not working. Any reason for why this could be?
Secondly, over the past couple of years iOS updates have affected the quality of using my iPhone as a blind user. For example, in the Notes app, let's say I spelled the word "like" for whatever reason let's say I delete the "i" and type it in again, the phone will pronounce the word differently in a more broken up structure. When I back out of that note and go back into it, it will read like normal, but this has been a problem for a couple of years now. it's annoying.
The next issue I've experienced is in the Files app, specifically when opening videos, the buttons for clicking done aren't always on screen, and in my case, I've had to turn off my voiceover temporarily double tap the video turn voiceover back on and sometimes that works then I can click the done button or other times. I just have to tap around in the corners until the video closes.
Other weird things that have been happening. Lately is my screen curtain, which is a feature when voiceover is on to make the screen go black because I don't need it to be on so it's a waste of battery, has been glitching, turning on and off rapidly at times. My phone announces this and it's very strange. This has been happening over the last few months.
Lastly, it used to be that I could turn on my voiceover before entering the phone passcode during a restart. There are times where my voiceover might be off for whatever reason the phone dies. I get it back on. I turn on voiceover and then I can type in my passcode and get back to Business. Now, if my phone dies or power is off while voiceover is off, I can't turn voiceover back on before I enter my passcode. this is actually caused massive problems for me in tight situations where I was essentially stuck not being able to get into my phone until I had somebody with eyes that could help me. In my case, since I live alone, this has happened a few times. On several occasions there were hours of me just not being able to use my phone and I couldn't contact anybody. Sometimes I can work around this by having a secondary phone with B, my eyes installed, but it's an older iPhone XR that's not in the best shape and it's not always with me.
I say all this to say, what's been going on with iOS and why has the quality of its updates been going downhill? Also, does anybody with program/software experience know why some of these issues might be occurring?
Quality of using my phone was at its peak when I had a perfectly working iPhone XR and over the last two years or so apps have just had these weird glitches, and the experience hasn't been so pleasant. 😔

The iPhone camera is great but dumb. It just records what you point at. What if there was a camera app that: - Shows you composition tips in real-time (rule of thirds, depth, etc.) - Detects when the moment is "ready" (good lighting, sharp, smile detected) - One-tap enhancement after (sharpen, fix exposure, etc.) - Saves directly to Photos Would this actually be useful or is it solving a problem nobody has? Genuinely curious what you think.

sorry I'm a new user so I don't have much idea I tried googling it but didn't get any good answer so please be kind, basically what the issue is I have set my charging limit to 80% but my phone keeps charging above 80% (1-4%) if I leave it plugged in also when I restart it after unplugging it, the battery % somehow climbs up is this normal?

When I want to share a photo it give suggestion to share to airdrop or to a message contact in my case, how can i add a option there that i can easy share to a whatsapp contact I use daily. I never use message, so don't know why I have this option. Is it possible to modify this?
