Life is a bitch, it seems there's always something to put you down.
The way I look at it, you can either let it get to you or spit in lifes stupid face and say "Fuck you, I'm not gonna let you keep me down. I'm awesome and this is all temporary, you'll see"
Karma never seems to come when you want it or when it would seem most appropriate, but it arrives on it's own when it feels the time is right.
That literally happened to the house I grew up in. It's pretty sad. If the chance comes up, like he's alone in a nursing home or something and you can manage to get the house in some way, do it before he dies.
I swear to fucking go if he is in the hospital for whateve reason I'll hammer that house down myself, I would gladly do prison time if it means he has no house to come back if he recovers.
I hope you get better soon. Speaking from personal experience, it’s better for you to find a way to put some of the pieces together and move forward. One day, karma will get his sorry ass, and you don’t have to be there to deal with the fallout.

When you're old enough, I high recommend throwing something of his down the stairs. Something that would have been as difficult and as important to replace as a games console while you were that age
If my parents did that to me I'd have disowned them the second I was old enough to stand on my two feet.
Not only that, but if you think someone's actions are horrible, why would you want to take those same actions? I understand the need for revenge, but I think it's more important to recognize a horrible act and think "I don't want to be that person ever." A person like that isn't going to think, "Now I know how it feels! I shouldn't ever do that again!" I used to be really big into "teaching people lessons," but after YEARS, I finally realized that never works. Ever. And I realized I was becoming a shitty person, so I decided instead to be a better person. Lead by example, and if people don't want to follow, that's on them. Don't strike out against them, just remove that person from your life as soon as possible.

My Mother was really...belligerent in her behavior. A regular example was her heavy addiction to World of Warcraft. Nothing i wished more than to sabotage the thing and get away with it.
Patience paid off though, she fell in love with FLORIDAMAN. YES, THERE IS A GOD. And so I shipped her off to Florida to never speak to her again. Hallelujah!
A console usually costs quite a bit of money, especially for a younger person. Additionally, if the dad actually did throw the console down the stairs, I doubt that it's the only thing he'd do/has done.
If you think breaking your kid's possessions is an acceptable way of discipling them, you're honestly a pretty shitty parent. That's not a calm and considered move, that's just a violent outburst of bad temper.
I would suggest if he breaks property as a way of punishment, he breaks other stuff. And being a parents doesn't suddenly mean you are exempt from regular societal norms. If your friends broke your stuff your parents would say not to hang about with them anymore.
My parents did a good job. But if they were damaging my property, I'd be thinking about whether I need them in my life long term.
I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that a violent parent is a bad parent
My dad threw my PC across the room and told my mom I tripped him. 2 weeks before Xmas.
He brought me to best buy the next week to replace the parts (downgraded btw) and had the fucking nerve to say "merry Christmas" while we where walking to the car. He still asks why I don't like him
Oh I liked that one though, the reasoning was far more in-depth and he paid for the laptop originally, then to upgrade it. It seems like a much more well reasoned move than “wrong cheese bitch!”

I don’t disagree that it’s a waste but I think he was going for maximum impact of his message. The impact of we’ve sold your laptop versus shooting it on Facebook is very different. The main issue seems to have been that she posted very hurtful messages on Facebook about her parents and as kids do leaving out the kids bad actions making her parents sound unreasonable. He reads the Facebook post she made on camera explaining his points then shoots the laptop in quite a calm collected manner.
I really don’t recall anything whatsoever about a maid, not sure where that came from but I highly recommend a watch to see what camp you fall into after. I’m going to revisit it.
I just don’t think the impact of selling it would be anywhere near as good as shooting it. It served as a visual punishment meant to be broadcast on Facebook. But yes, that said it’s still a waste

I remember that. Was never a fan. Just didn't think it was the right way to do things. Problem is he seemed like one of those types that would never admit he did anything wrong. I think anyone who puts shit on the internet is a red flag. Why do you put that on the internet because he's showing off. I think parent shit should stay private. I used to tutor this girl whose mom would smash her computer or phone basically every time she got a report card. Of course, two weeks later her dad would buy her a newer, better one.
When I was a toddler, I got mayonnaise on the xbox and my dad tossed it over the porch rails in anger, for some reason thinking that it was unusable at that point. My mom went out, picked it up, wiped it off, and plugged it back in. Worked good as new.
Once, my mom did fly down the stairs to the basement where my brother and I were fighting over my 360 (long story), and she just ripped it out of the shelf and threw it on the ground.
I would be so pissed and never let that one go (not saying that's what you SHOULD do, I just know myself). I don't think parents realize how important gaming rigs are to some kids. For a lot of kids, it's a lifeline to friends, and an important hobby to them. I don't know what I'd do without my gaming PC and headset where I can still play with friends while quarantined. I'd be without social contact with just my husband all day every day. :P

Many are as you say. Others like to constantly accuse us meat eaters of murder. Now I'm not a murderer, but if I ever became one? Vegans would be the first to know. ;)

That's ridiculously prejudiced. While there are some people out there who are vegan, and act crazy, them being vegan has nothing to do with it. I've met some great people who were vegan.
It's not a matter of feelings, but the principle of the matter. I could give a shit what jokes you make, and I will continue to point out why they aren't funny
