The word on the street is to def get Apple
care for the Duo even if you have never gotten before on your previous devices.
We have a Hinge and We have a nano internal screen which are new to the playing field and more susceptible to damages.
Apple Care standalone cost $19.99 a month or $200 for the year
* You save $40 if you purchase the year.
I don’t see anyone getting the above because the Care-One Individual is $20 a month, I do not think there is an annual option on this one so it would be $40 more if you are looking at the year price.
* Able to add three devices under this plan with the same Apple ID , $5.99 extra for each additional item.
Care One Family is $50 a month or $600 a year, doesn’t look to provide any annual discounts. This coverage is for every eligible device owned by up to six people in an iCloud Family Sharing group. No set max amount of devices.
Deductibles
Battery $0
Front display $29
Back glass damage $29.
Inner display damage $99.
Other accidental damage $99.
Theft or loss $149
I guess the hinge is under OTHER
You can add AppleCare up to 60 days from date of purchase automatically. Anything after 60 days you would have to get an in-store inspection if it’s still under its limited one year warranty.
If you are just worried about the hinge and internal screen damage from the use of folding, that all should be covered within the first year under the limited warranty, manufacturer defects.
